What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Like most others who shop here, it is a great place to stock up on bulk essential items for a great price. However, it is also an excellent resource for getting car batteries, tires, free nitrogen inflation stations, demos, travel, jewelry, electronics, hearing aids, eyeglasses, and even a pharmacy.
Honestly, there isn’t much that Costco DOESN’T offer!
The staff are always working hard, and the customer service is normal for retail stores.
It is very clean, which I love and appreciate!
Be prepared for the store to always be perpetually busy, and you’ll learn the customer etiquette of walking through aisles pretty quickly lol
The store always changes it’s product lineup, so each week expect a new floor display, new demo, and try not to be sad when your favorite product disappears from the shelves!

  2. Easily the best value for any size of family. Even if you don’t have a family the value costco gives on high end products you’ll have made your membership price back in spades!! The staff is always friendly and willing to help. The food is always fresh and of good quality. As stated before they have tons of high quality items for way cheaper than anywhere else 1000% worth the price.

  3. It’s a Costco – they keep it clean and organized, the selection is good, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. However, I strongly recommend to avoid the weekend rush if at all possible. I’ve found the best time to go is the 2 hours before closing on a weekday, which is around 6 :30 p.m. so you’re not crushed by the crowd and can get through smoothly with no traffic jams at the checkout.

  4. Costco is the best! I shop here with my kids and they love it – It’s like a maze. Everything is pretty affordable, and on hot days, the icecream is great! and huge portions! Can’t recommend it enough, absolutely worth the price of the membership.

  5. Hi, my name is Chris and I am a Costco-holic. It’s been two days since my last trip.

I am guilty of believing that _just_ because I buy something at Costco it is both less expensive and higher quality than I could buy elsewhere. I admit this belief has led to excessive spending on occasion…ok, fine…frequently.

On the rare occasion I buy something I am less than 100% happy with, I return it. No muss, no fuss.

Even when very busy, Costco has found a way to make the experience fast and efficient. Not a fan of the in-store solicitors, but they aren’t too pushy. Excellent fruit selection and very competitively priced. Small thing, but impressed at how quickly their systems process transactions. Very cool.

Love love but where is the year round cinnamon bread? I’m not quite sure why it’s ‘seasonal!’ Asked at the bakery and they said they get requests for it often. Seems like a good idea to have it year round. Make us happy! Thank you! And yes, overall I’m a Costco fan.

Poor Customer Service Skills! I have been a member for years. Over that time, I have brought in several people that wanted to check it out to see if they wanted a membership. All of them bought things AND ended up signing up. Today I brought my aunt in. The shopping experience was good until we reached checkout. Since we each had a few items, we did the self checkout. I scanned my card on the reader and the front end employee said, “You’re doing it wrong.” So I tried again and she said, “It’s still wrong.” I finally realized you have to run it across the scanner (like a grocery item). Then I set my empty grocery bag on the counter and she freaked out about that. She said I had to keep it in the cart. Fine. As I rang up my groceries, I moved the milk (already scanned) to the bag to make more room on the end bagging area, and she told me that’s not allowed. I finally get done so we went to ring up my aunt’s groceries, and she told me I can’t bring a guest. I told her it was her first time in and she’s considering getting a membership. She told us that’s not allowed. Since when?! I have done this forever and nobody has ever said anything-in fact, they’ve welcome the potential new members and thanked me for bringing them in. If they’re going to change policy, it should be clearly visible as we come in the store so that this isn’t a waste of time and a poor experience. Sam’s still allows you to bring a guest-come on Costco. I rang up my aunt’s groceries and paid with my card-and she paid me back in cash. What an absolute hassle and disappointment this trip was for us. I have worked in CS for years, and I would never treat my customers like that-and if any of my employees treated customers like that, they would no longer be my employees. There’s a way to approach things and educate people while being kind and helpful and not condescending. This CS rep clearly lacked proper CS skills and seemed to have a chip on her shoulder. Do better, Costco!

What is not to love about Costco?

Warehouse prices. Clean. Great customer service. Too tier gasoline at discount prices. Wide variety of products. Rotisserie chicken for $4.99! A footlong hotdogs and 20 ounce drink for $1.50! Their products are the highest quality.

I love Costco; it is by far and away my favorite retail establishment, due mainly to its pay and treatment of employees. Which would normally lead to pleasant and happy employee interactions. This location however definitely falls short of the quality and reputation of the global brand.

Upon entrance a woman was asking for memberships, and when I failed to produce this membership at the speed with which she was accustomed, she begun to aggressively reprimand and belittle me for my lack of knowledge. (“Everyone knows you can’t buy anything at Costco without a membership. We are a members only club”) While my experience at my local Costco in Mexico is that we are only asked for our membership once when we are purchasing our items.

As a membership only store, Costco is obviously entitled to ask for proof of membership as many times as they would like. Though in my opinion three times in one visit is a bit much. (To enter the store you must prove it, then again while in line for check out they ask to compare the photo on your membership to your face, and finally when checking out you must produce it again) A little procedural cleanup would go a long way at this Costco.

Overall, I will still patronize Costco, but my visits to this location will certainly become less frequent.

Tire center seems to take awhile, and sometimes you really stand around waiting for a worker to show up, so it seems like they need to get somebody out at that main desk as a full time gig that way the tire workers don’t have to run back and forth and the customers don’t have to try and flag them down from the window. You got to imagine that gets pretty annoying for the workers trying to get to the vehicles. But when you do get somebody they often do a good job of communication. Ex of good one is Jaron, that guy seems to remember people and easy to talk too about whatever’s going on with your vehicle. But all in all this is kind of common for big box stores as far as nobody consistently working the front desk and having to flag down someone and then of course the work often takes longer than the initial estimate. At least that’s how Sam’s was also. So three stars for Big box consistency.

Love Costco! This place is always clean and well organized. My only complaint is the alcohol “security guy” at the self checkout. I am obviously old enough but didn’t have my driver’s license and he wouldn’t let me purchase. I handed him the bottle of vodka to put it back.

Then I heard him harassing a group of young men that were purchasing beer. One in the group was old enough and the others were not and he wanted ID from all of them or he wouldn’t let them purchase. If I had my driver’s license with me I would have bought it for them.

The security guy kept insisting that it’s law to get ID from everybody, regardless of how old they look. Hmmmmm

I love the return policy. I bought a Shark vacuum that didn’t seem to be as good of quality as my other Sharks and after a month of use it was returned with no question. Great frozen and fresh food selections.

My goto for groceries and easily the best kept secret. The biggest complaint? Maybe only two choices to pick from, of say, peanut butter. Simply do not see that as an issue but had to remove one star. Kirkland brand has value, and i have purchased Kirkland brand many times. No complaints.

There is more, but let’s keep it a secret, better that way.
