  1. Nice place, but under staffed. Girls work very hard, but could use some help! Doctor Questionable!! Someone needs to look into this place. I will be contacting my senator, on some very strange decisions!

  2. A beautiful, hospitable community. From the moment you meet staff, to the time that you visit with a resident, you are made to feel welcomed, cared for and valued. The facilities are top-notch. Those whom I know that live at Normandie Ridge feel loved; enjoy the many activities; appreciate the upkeep and care of the facilities; and know that they are valued members of the community.

  3. We have lived at Normandie Ridge for over a year, and we couldn’t be happier about our decision to come here. Our apartment is beautiful, the community (our neighbors and the staff) is friendly and welcoming, the food and service in the dining room and cafe is very good. We enjoy the pool and activities and watching the grass being mowed and the snow being plowed and are grateful that we don’t have to worry about it!

    My parents moved to two bedroom assisted-living apartment at Country Meadows of Shiloh in mid-April. Shortly thereafter, my father required hospice services. The staff there was kind and attentive to his every need. During his short time there he said many times, “Everyone here is so nice.” My mother is suffering from dementia and being without her husband for the first time in 70 years is difficult for her. Thankfully, CM has a group called Connections Club for residents with cognitive impairment which meets daily. The members are engaged in a variety of activities throughout the day including brain boosting activities, exercises, games, crafts, live entertainment, movies, and bus rides to local businesses. The staff also has been very helpful making special accommodations to assist my mother with her daily routines. The facility itself is by far the nicest I’ve visited in York County, and I’ve visited many of them. The public spaces are always clean and well-kept, as are the apartments which are cleaned weekly. But, frankly, the thing I noticed immediately when I first visited was the smell, or I guess I should say the lack of one…… it’s the only assisted-living facility I’ve ever frequented that does not have an overpowering stench of urine. That is huge! The dining room is lovely and, although Covid restrictions has prevented me from eating there, the food looks quite good and the menu is surprisingly varied. It must be good because my mother is a very finicky eater, and she’s gained 10 pounds since she’s been there. 😉 There are a few other perks worth mentioning……..a hairdresser on premises, a podiatrist who makes regular visits, both blood tests and x-rays which can be done in house, dog- walking (for a small fee), and my personal favorite – chauffeur service to doctor appointments. If you find yourself in the dreaded position of searching for assisted living for a loved one, I suggest you stop searching and visit Country Meadows.

    When you are looking at Assisted Living for your loved one, it isn’t just the fancy decorated facility that matters, but it is the people who care for your loved one. I visited almost every day for nine years and the staff at Country Meadows worked diligently to care for my dad and come up with solutions for all of my dad’s challenges while making sure my dad enjoyed a rich quality of life. I was truly blessed to be allowed to bring my dad back from several hospital and rehab visits and especially blessed by his final return to Country Meadows on Hospice. I know we did a great job in selecting Country Meadows. We could not be more thankful for each member of the staff! My dad always said, “It isn’t home but it is the next best thing.” He loved you all!

    My Dad moved into Country Meadows of Leader Heights mid 2016. Initially he was in the independent living unit. As he needed more care he moved into dementia care with a doubling of cost($8000) per month. At first there was a pool and gym facility which was closed for cost reasons but there was no reduction of fees. I generally feel his care is adequate but as a for profit facility it’s expensive. The staff gets him his medication daily but you have to use their pharmacy

    We are very pleased with the care both available and given to our mother by the team at Country Meadows West. Their website states they “support residents in their current life stage and can continue to care for them if and when their needs should change”. This is what ideal senior life living should offer and Country Meadows has shown it is more than a slogan. They truly have performed above our expectation.

    Few of us are emotionally ready for the upheaval associated with a parent’s need to make such a dramatic change in life. Country Meadows has made that transition as painless as it could be. From Tammy Sharp in marketing who did so much to ease my concerns and confusion, to the staff who have been caring, gentle and extremely professional in their treatment of my mother, I could not have asked for a more painless transition. I am so very thankful for their assistance.

    I’ve worked at Autumn House for the past two years. The staff at this facility is devoted to our residents, and we maintain a family-like atmosphere, both among staff members and with our residents. This facility is, by far, the friendliest, most caring facility I have ever served. The housekeeping staff keeps the building in great shape, and the environment is warm and inviting. I am so thankful to work at this very positive, resident centered community.

    We started our journey in Personal Care with my mother and are now in Memory Care. It is a wonderful community and loving environment for my mom. Jen, the Memory Care Director, has a great sense of what activities the residents enjoy doing. The staff is friendly and compassionate to the needs of the residents. Great facility inside and beautiful courtyards outside to spend some time.

    I been working with autumn house west for 10 years now. I grew up here, literally. I love working with this team for the most part that we all are a big family. They helped me grow in the company and even helped outside of work. The residents are the number one priority and we love to make them smile!! WEST IS THE BEST!!

    Caring staff in the memory care unit. Am and pm activities and crafts are scheduled daily. Jen (memory care director) always finds time to answer/address concerns from the family of residents. Clean well maintained facility both inside and out. Gardens are beautiful!
