The greenery and flowers for the event were classic, in very good taste.5 years agoBeautiful B&B. Fully restored. 6-7 bedrooms. Most have private bathroom. Two separate dining rooms. Great for indoor parties of5 years agoA classic southern plantation home with plenty of room for the largest party! Auburn sororities, frats, clubs, organizations and local businesses used this location for a fancy soriee. Book this place, hire a caterer, bring on the band and get your party on. The house is beautifully maintained and well appointed with interesting art and furnishings. The ground feature huge trees, lots of open areas with spectacular views. I look forward to a return visit soon.4 years agoVery pretty setting with beautiful home! I rated 4 stars because the brick work outside needs serious attention. 5 months agoI had an absolutely amazing time at this bed and breakfast! The scenery was gorgeous, the decor inside was stunning and the breakfast including home made biscuits, fresh farm eggs and fruit was delicious. Louise and Michael, the owners, go out of their way to make you feel at home. An experience not to be missed!10 months agoLouise is an EXTRAORDINARY host. As a local photographer, I got into my car the other day looking for outdoor farms and venues for my clients’ next shoot(s). Somehow, I serendipitously found myself on the back-steps of Shoofly Farm’s porch, a porch that puts the old white porch in the Field of Dreams to shame might I add. When you arrive at this little enchanting bed and breakfast, it seems like a quaint and modest old farm, but when you step into these rooms and the main guest house, you are taken into an unexpected sliver of our galaxy. Full of large overexposed windows near the porches, there’s contemporary paneling mixed in with a level of rustic charm, and a surprising selection of cultural art pieces Louise and her husband has purchased from around the world. You can tell there’s a mature and vibrant taste, although fully renovated with all updated appliances, colored leathers, and high quality furniture, there’s this familiar sense of worn-in-ness that is catered to guests looking for something eclectic and homey, outside the dry, hum-drum, plastic 4-star hotel rooms in the surrounding areas. Home grown foods (that are virtually all organic) goes into the daily meals, and features a mouth watering 5-star breakfast (biscuits, fresh farmed eggs from their coop, and locally farmed bacon) included with your stay. The main cabin features a gorgeous porch (GUYS if you can’t tell I’m obsessed with their porch) that overlooks the various cabins, recreational areas, and many various trails where you can go for a calm hike…The rustling winds beat against the large oak trees along with the songs of the grasshoppers as you sit next to the fire-pit. You sit on your cabin porch, reflecting the day out in Auburn, Lee, and the neighboring areas, and you know without a second thought you’ll be spending another night here.

11 months agoThis is one of those times when Googled Reviews needs 10 stars!We had the best time during our weekend visit. Our stay began with a warm welcome from the hosts followed by a tour of the main house. The main house is tastefully decorated with a mix of antiques and modern furniture. Each room is well appointed with an ensuite bathroom, fluffy robes, soft towels, lush bed linens, coffee station, wine, snacks and a refrigerator.
During our stay, we enjoyed the Friday evening social hour, scrumptious breakfast each morning, homemade cookies in the afternoons, and exceptional hospitality.
While visiting, guests are encouraged to walk the trails and visit some of the other structures on the property. While there, you need to check out the horses, rabbits, cats, chickens, and goats! However, our favorite spot on the property is the large wrap around porch, where we spent many hours gently rocking in the large rocking chairs as we treasured the peacefulness of the property.
We really didn’t want to leave the following morning. Louise makes you feel like a treasured family member. So, if you are ever in the area and need a fantastic place to stay, give Louise a call. You will be glad you came.
a year agoWe had a wonderful experience at Shoofly Farms! Louise and Bob were so kind and hospitable. Our secluded cabin was everything we hoped it would be. It was so nice to wake up and step outside for some fresh air. We took a quick walk to the Farmhouse for an amazing breakfast each morning. Things you just cannot get at a hotel! We will definitely be return guests!5 months agoThis was the best stay I’ve ever had and it’s not even close! Louise is the sweetest host and an amazing cook. Breakfast was unbelievably delicious. Can’t wait until the next time I’m in Alabama, because I know where I’ll be staying!

My family’s time at Crenshaw Guest House was simply divine! Mary Jo was extremely kind and hospitable. The accommodations were TOP NOTCH! The food was unforgettable and I hope to repeat this dreamy experience again soon.
Our visit was wonderful. The team at Crenshaw were so friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were awesome. The Thach unit was charming and the grounds were gorgeous. All the items such as sheets and toiletries were top quality. We hope to return for another visit soon.
The Crenshaw experience was absolutely delightful! From the moment we arrived to when we departed. The hospitality is outstanding. We would go back in a heartbeat!
What a wonderful place! Bed was luscious and room was spotless. Breakfast was delicious and I currently wish I had one of the peanut butter cookies that were left out for guests! Host was wonderfully responsive and allowed us to check in after hours since we were helping daughter with move to Opelika.
Everything about our stay at The Crenshaw House was exceptional. The inn is beautifully appointed and staff welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and amenities top notch. We cannot wait to come again. Thank you!
