2 months agoWe stayed for 4 nights with 4 different families. Everything was absolutely perfect. The owners were very responsive, all units were very clean, close proximity to the beach, great pool, plenty of games, and a lot of beach chairs. We loved the pool, game room, and gathering space.11 months agoVery lovely spot, in a great location. Friends of my rented the entire resort for a 50th Birthday party. Rooms were nice, but could have used a ceiling fan in the room. Decor is nice, parking is adequate. Loved it.4 years agoOur stay was wonderful. The place was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The beds were great, the location was convenient and felt like a neighborhood more than a tourist spot, and yet was only a two minute walk to the beach. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, and the pool was well-heated, clean, and not overly chlorinated. The outside game and BBQ area was a great place for the kids, and even the laundry room was nice. Brad, the owner, was super-helpful, friendly, and always available, and helped make our stay a comfortable one. Definitely a place we’d be happy to visit again.

2 months agoAmazing Time! This property was excellent! Very clean, comfortable, and came equiped with everything we needed. The location was perfect and Greg the home owner was great! Communication was very clear and he was attentive to the questions we had. Check in was so easy as well. My husband and i would definitely stay here again! Thanks again Greg!a year agoWhat a wonderful place for our anniversary. We stayed in “Lizard Landing”, a studio style apartment right across the street from the beach. Great food is across the street and just down the road. I grew up in Clearwater and have stayed in MANY places local. We’ve lived in TN for 26 years and researched places to see what new and WHAT A GEM. They were so accommodating and we feel so BLESSED to have found this place. We will be returning here for years (with friends 😜) They have everything you need washer and dryer (with detergent), microwave, full sized coffee pot and Kuerig, kitchen sink, full sized fridge, beach towels, etca year agoStaying here for our 30th wedding anniversary has been absolutely wonderful. The house is in a great location. Greg is a super nice guy and made us feel welcome.3 years agoWhat a great place to stay!! The Laughing Lizard is quaint and clean with easy beach access. The beach is beautiful and not overcrowded. Great restaurants of all types are nearby. The front porch is a wonderfully relaxing place to start or end your day. There is a jet spa, beach umbrellas and chairs available for your use. I would recommend this property to anybody that wants to enjoy “real” Florida beauty.5 years agoWe were a group of 9 in town for a retreat, California, Texas, Georgia and us “locals.” The Laughing Lizard was the perfect place to land! Greg was an excellent host, communicative (even though he and his wife were out of town on their own getaway!) during the planning and reservation process. Part of the group came in early and, upon arrival, they had homemade truffles (best ever!!) in the refrigerator waiting for them! We stayed in the Lizard’s Lair, the main house, that consists of 4 bedrooms/4 baths on 3 levels..all baths ensuite and an in house elevator to take you (and your stuff!) from ground level up! Well stocked kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals and, with all of us working around the kitchen,…the space to do so as well! The beach is right across the street and the street is easy to cross. You can walk wherever you want to…multiple restaurants, the best French cafe, grab a cocktail…whatever you want to do, the Laughing Lizard is perfectly situated to take advantage of all the area has to offer. This will be your favorite beach place to return to year after year. It is now mine and, our group is looking forward to returning again in the near future!!

I don’t think I can express how happy I am that we chose to stay at Home2 Suites. From start to finish my expectations have been exceeded. Every single interaction I have had with the staff has it only been pleasant but personable. If I needed anything, they took care of it right away. The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. My daughter slept on the pull out sofa and said that was comfortable as well! They had a great selection of snacks and frozen meals in case we had needed something quick. The complimentary breakfast had great choices. The waffles and the oatmeal were fantastic. The pool was heated and a great size. Most of the time, we had the pool to ourselves, which was a lot of fun! Again, I can’t express how happy we were with our visit here. It was our first family vacation in 4 years and Home2 helped make it an awesome one!
This was my first stay at this location. I must say everything was AMAZING. The staff was very welcoming especially David and Catherine. Regardless of what time it was David was always smiling, always pleasant and engaged in conversation. Catherine was very pleasant and helpful as well. I will definitely be back! Thank you to David and his staff!!
Staff was very friendly!! The breakfast was delicious as well and many options. We brought our pup to stay with us and the hotel was extremely dog friendly. The room we stayed in was a suite and perfect for our family of 5 (the pup is the fifth member). Plenty of drawer space and the kitchen was immaculate! Even had a dishwasher.
My family and I stayed here for a week while on vacation and the hotel is great but the staff is AMAZING!!! Some of the friendliest staff I have ever met at a hotel. I asked if there was almond milk because I am vegan and though they didn’t have it at the time David at the front desk went the extra mile and made sure they had it available the next day and the rest of my stay. The ladies working the breakfast area were extremely kind and accommodating and the other front desk people were very kind and patient. The cleaning ladies and gentle men were very friendly and always said hi with a smile on their faces and were helpful with whatever we needed. I can’t say enough about this place and the AWESOME staff!! The room was huge also!! Thank you so much for making my family feel at home for this week of vacation!!!
The only and huge compliant is the pool, which was closed for a whole week. I understand emergency maintenance problems, but it doesn’t take a whole week to fix a problem.. If I were the manager, I would have spent a little to expedite the repaire in a day or two. Several kids were sitting in the lobby every evening playing on the computers because the pool was closed.
Clean and spacious rooms. Good breakfast variety. Room-service was awesome.
