What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. 10/10 would recommend! Immaculate clean property, beds were comfy, and a really nice pool! Location sells itself, walking distance to bank, Walgreens, and of course Del Taco! Great job management

  2. There was black mold in our room. We have never stayed at a Ramada (and never will again). When we first tried to check in the man at the front was so rude. Once we were checked in while in the room I saw a large patch or black on the wall under the bathroom counter. Upon closer look – tons of black mold; that room should not be in operation and if that’s how much was in plain sight I don’t want to know how much is hidden.

We packed and left immediately as black mold exposure can trigger serious illnesses. They did give us a full refund, but I was so disappointed to see that the manager did not seemed surprised or even apologies. If you stay here, check your room first!

  3. Great little gem close to the beach. ALL of the staff here is amazing, especially Sarah at the front desk who quickly took care of an issue we had. The pool is well maintained and the room was clean and comfy. We will absolutely come back!

  4. The rooms are large and clean , and so the grounds . The only inconvenience is that the pool is closing at 9 pm . In my opinion that is to early , 10 pm will be more convenient as most people are there for vacation. Another aspect is that I was charged $25 pet fee for my small Maltese , which was double than the agent told me at the time of reservation . I was told $25 / every 2 nights . Otherwise we had good time .

  5. Pros
    Good location

Rooms are good size and pretty clean

Rooms have mini fridge and microwave

    Bed was comfortable

Front desk was responsive to requests

Fairly reasonable rates for the location.

    Cons
    Pool closes relatively early 9pm

Only 1 ice location and it can be a fairly long walk depending on where your room is.

Housekeeping will only clean your room after 3 nights. I don’t remember this being mentioned at all on website. Seems pretty ridiculous. Our room was a mess by that time.

Sofa bed in the suites not very comfortable and the AC unit will freeze the part of the room in front but takes quite awhile to reach the further room section

They refuse to check anyone in prior to 3pm. We arrived at 130 but were told we had to come back after 3.

No free or continental breakfast at all

There are many ways to find an Airbnb near you in US cities. Here are a few of the best ways:

  • Use the Airbnb website or app. This is the most obvious way to find an Airbnb, and it’s also the easiest. Simply enter your desired location and dates, and you’ll be presented with a list of available Airbnbs. You can filter the results by price, number of bedrooms, amenities, and other factors.
  • Use a third-party website or app. There are a number of third-party websites and apps that list Airbnbs. These websites can be a good way to find Airbnbs that aren’t listed on the Airbnb website, or to compare prices from different sources. Some popular third-party websites and apps include:
    • VRBO: Vacation Rental By Owner
    • HomeAway: HomeAway
    • Booking.com: Booking.com
    • Expedia: Expedia
  • Ask your friends or family. If you know someone who has stayed in an Airbnb, they may be able to recommend a good one for you. They may also be able to give you some insider tips on how to get the best deal.
  • Search social media. There are a number of social media groups and forums where people post about their Airbnb experiences. These can be a good way to get honest feedback from other travelers.
  • Attend a local travel fair. Many cities host travel fairs where you can meet with Airbnb hosts and learn more about their properties. This can be a great way to find an Airbnb that’s perfect for your needs.

Once you’ve found a few Airbnbs that you’re interested in, be sure to read the reviews carefully. This will give you a good idea of what other guests have experienced. You should also contact the host with any questions you have.

Solidly comfortable. Large rooms with separate office and/or pantry areas, slightly dated. Clean and very comfortable bed. All the normal amenities to include a complimentary razor, toothbrush, and toothpaste. Complimentary breakfast was basic but some items can be requested, i.e. almond milk. AC did not work in my initial room but I was given a new room with no issues. Good cable, good wifi, could stay a few weeks if needed. Front desk has everything from shaving kits to charging cords.

Great place for the price. Pool was heated. Room was clean. Lots of regular instant coffee for my morning wake up. Only downside, the AC was LOUD!!!! I like the room very cool and there Wes something wrong with the unit. I had to put white noise on to cover the sound.

Pretty big room and very clean for a decent price; mini fridge, microwave, reclining chair, tons of toiletries (even a tips which I always forget) and long bathtub We have stayed here and walked to the fair in the summer, it’s right next to the fairgrounds There is more parking underground but be careful the pavement bricks can get pretty slippery when it rains king size bed with tons of pillows for some reason Complimentary snacks and water in the room Breakfast is in the dining room only Nice staff and clean pool Neither of our rooms have smelled like cigarettes so that is awesome

The place definitely has no privacy. Loud and you can hear your neighbor not comfy but travel agency from work gotten room. Just seemed not as comfortable as Best Westerns I’ve stayed. Also hot tub and gym not really good.

Easy location to get to although no views to speak of. Staff was pleasant. They send a text to check in with you following check in which was a nice touch. Cookies and coffee out through out the day. Room was clean and comfortable. Beds and pillows were so comfy!! Room was spacious enough for our needs. They only have a pool which I’m not sure was heated which was a small bummer for the kids. We did not eat breakfast there so cannot speak to that but overall was a decent stay.

I’m going back with another reservation. Super clean, modern, and comfortable.

UPDATE REVIEW: We visited again for our 4th time. I am slightly disappointed this time around.

Holiday Inn Express was fully booked Friday and Saturday night for the weekend of June 23.

Apparently, when guests bring multiple vehicles and/or have visitors, the parking overflows, and folks decide to double park and park illegally.

We were blocked from exiting the hotel at one side exit, as a vehicle blocks the entire exit. Additionally, the passenger was sick and left an organic calling card in the doorway. When I spoke to management, they stated they were aware, but being the cars did not have a permit, they didn’t know who to contact. Yes, it was extremely dangerous, considering this was an emergency exit.

Still, an excellent hotel and friendly staff.

Horrible experience. Avoid this hotel at all costs!

This was one of the most affordable options in the area, and it immediately became clear why. The hotel is not in a very nice area. I am only giving the location two stars because it wasn’t located next to an industrial park or something like that. Otherwise the location is pretty bad, and hotel is very tricky to even find from the road.

This might be tolerable if it were possible to park at the hotel, but it is not unless you plan to get back to the hotel in the early evening hours and stay there the rest of the night. They have two tiny parking lots which do not have enough spaces for all guests, so the only option is to try to find a parking spot somewhere in the surrounding neighborhood, hope your car doesn’t get broken into or towed, and walk several blocks. They will apparently allow you to park in the handicapped spot overnight as other reviewers have indicated, however it is not clear whether this will actually prevent you from being fined.

The rooms are dated, although they are decent enough with one huge exception – the hotel sits along a major road, and they have the cheapest imaginable single pane windows that to not appear to close properly. When I got to my room the window was actually broken out, probably from somebody trying to close it tighter! The traffic noise was horrible with the window out, however it is still likely very noisy in the room even with out the broken window (I didn’t bother staying to find out). The beds seemed like they were OK.

The front desk staff was nice and tried to help as best as he could. Obviously wasn’t his fault. The owners of this place obviously don’t care one bit for their guests’ experience.

    DO NOT STAY HERE!

I can’t say enough about the Holiday Inn express in Costa Mesa. We feel like we are at home. the breakfast in the morning is a perfect start to our day. The lovely lady who worked in the kitchen was so efficient and kept the place immaculate. I can’t say the same for the weekend staff in the kitchen. I stay here every year when I visit my grandchildren it’s the best value for the money

Alex, Amanda and Jesse were the absolute best, their housekeepers are also super friendly and are extremely polite. A beautiful location and a wonderful IHG hotel. This location was stunning, clean, and beautiful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone! Its in the center of a great food hub and getting delivery and taxi rides from this location is super quick and easy! One of the smoothest check ins and check outs ive had, and overall a great experience. Please stay here if you have the time to have a wonderful stay :))))
