We hired David Williams and his team about a year ago for the closing of our new house build, they were great to work with, very professional, and always easy to contact.

At the same time I was involved in a motor vehicle accident and David took on my file. Once him and his team were involved they took care of everything and kept me informed throughout the whole process.

To say we were satisfied with his work is an understatement. And we wouldn’t hesitate to use their services again.

Thanks David, and to the whole team at O’dea Earle

I called approximately a week and a half ago to get a document notarized. They took my name and number and said someone would call me back. Haven’t received a phone call. Nothing.

I used W. Les Thistle Law in purchasing my Commercial Property and it was the ‘easiest’ most ‘simplest’ experience. They took care of all necessary details and the transition was seamless. They were very courteous, helpful and amiable. I would highly recommend and will use them again in future, no hesitation whatsoever. Kudos!

My spouse recently sold a house through Thistle Law and had several last minute issues; The documents were sent from out of province and the lady dealing with them thought skype would be sufficient for signing then found out 4 days before close that it was not leaving us scrambling to find a Commissioner of Oath and Fedex to send the documents as fast as possible back to NL adding costs. Then on close day it got delayed due to the purchaser and the costs got handed over to us to pay which is unreasonable if the buyer did not have their act together they should pay the cost difference property tax and I suspect the mortgage payment will come out also. I would not recommend using this Law office the communication is lack luster and very vague. The day the house did close was late apparently when they received the funds and did not deposit in my acct until I actually phoned and left a message the next day around 2 pm absolutely unprofessional conduct by a lawyers office. This will be the 5th time I have been involved in selling real estate and have never had this experience.

Top Intellectual Property Lawyer Alternatives in St. John’s

Indigenous intellectual property is a term used in national and international forums to describe intellectual property that is "collectively owned" by various Indigenous peoples, and by extension, their legal rights to protect specific such property. This property includes cultural knowledge of their groups and many aspects of their cultural heritage and knowledge, including that held in oral history. In Australia, the term Indigenous cultural and intellectual property, abbreviated as ICIP, is commonly used.
There have been various efforts made since the late 20th century towards providing some kind of legal protection for indigenous intellectual property in colonized countries, including a number of declarations made by various conventions of Indigenous peoples. The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) was created in 1970 to promote and protect intellectual property across the world by cooperating with countries as well as international organizations. The UN's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), signed by 144 countries in 2007, includes several clauses relating specifically to the protection of intellectual property of Indigenous peoples.
Disputes around indigenous property include several cases involving the Māori people of New Zealand.
