The poutine is exquisite, 3 sprouts of sauce and I don’t know how many extras such as “smoked meat”. Have you ever had smoked meat poutine with pepper sauce? This is the pinnacle of poutine in my opinion 🤩

I have had a file with them since the spring which was supposed to take only 1 month to be resolved and I am still waiting to know where my file is. I call and leave messages and still no return call. Very bad service.

For this very welcome service. A serious welcome is true but also for everyone. Subsequently, impeccable service, the lawyers are competent and the secretaries are just as competent. Clear and precise instructions. Thank you. Stephane.

Never on time for the appointment. Lack of staff at reception. Lack of smile. But then pass the door, the service is fine.

What’s the point of legal aid if you can’t access it to defend yourself even if you’re a victim?

I’m glad I was at least able to ask questions and I got some advice that will help me and enlighten me.

Being my first real estate transaction, I didn’t know exactly when to expect the documents to return. I made the mistake of waiting too long to follow up with the city directly (no news from the notary for the documents we were waiting for.) For a few days delay the costs were minimal, but the response when calling the notary was: “we are short of staff”. I wasn’t expecting much of an apology, but a modicum of apology and politeness would be nice. It would also be good to warn of additional delays before it is too late. We chose the cheapest notary, but I do not recommend.

My notary for 20 years and several transactions. Always ready to answer my questions, very patient. I wouldn’t want to deal with anyone else.

Disappointed with the experience and the service received… If this is your first time with the notary I do not recommend it because it is very very hasty and difficult to understand. Then, we had to restart it to get the deed of sale, otherwise it would drag on… Finally, I had asked for a note to be added for a distribution of the cost between the people concerned and that did not happen. been done… Really disappointing and it was all in all quite important. I simply won’t go back. Otherwise, the staff is still nice.

Top Notary Public Services Alternatives in Saint-Hyacinthe

A notary public (a.k.a. notary or public notary; pl. notaries public) of the common law is a public officer constituted by law to serve the public in non-contentious matters usually concerned with general financial transactions, estates, deeds, powers-of-attorney, and foreign and international business. A notary's main functions are to validate the signature of a person (for purposes of signing a document); administer oaths and affirmations; take affidavits and statutory declarations, including from witnesses; authenticate the execution of certain classes of documents; take acknowledgments (e.g., of deeds and other conveyances); provide notice of foreign drafts; provide exemplifications and notarial copies; and, to perform certain other official acts depending on the jurisdiction. Such transactions are known as notarial acts, or more commonly, notarizations. The term notary public only refers to common-law notaries and should not be confused with civil-law notaries. With the exceptions of Louisiana, Puerto Rico, Quebec (whose private law is based on civil law), and British Columbia (whose notarial tradition stems from scrivener notary practice), a notary public in the rest of the United States and most of Canada has powers that are far more limited than those of civil-law or other common-law notaries, both of whom are qualified lawyers admitted to the bar: such notaries may be referred to as notaries-at-law or lawyer notaries. Therefore, at common law, notarial service is distinctly different from the practice of law, and giving legal advice and preparing legal instruments is forbidden to lay notaries such as those appointed throughout most of the United States. Despite these distinctions, lawyers in the United States may apply to become notaries, and this class of notary is allowed to provide legal advice, such as determining the type of act required (affidavit, acknowledgment, etc.).
