Friendly staff, attentive and want to help. I have been to this location many times. Very convenient and I’m willing to pay more for that convenience. However, it’s very difficult to support local when the stores shelves are always bare. The last three attempts they have been out of what I need. This time yard waste bags.. staple of a hardware/ace store. Second time in two weeks. Always same response. Ordering issues or waiting on an order. I have visited both ace hardwares in MT Pleasant and in west Ashley.. they are always overly stocked. Hard to blame ordering issues when this location is the only one with that problem… if you don’t re-invest in your business it WILL fail no matter how good staff and location are. Two stars are for staff. They want to help but can’t if they are out of everything.
Very small store, but the staff that was there was trying to help as best they can to locate products. They made sure to comment that the store would be getting a lot more items restocked soon to try and garner repeat business
Just shut this place down. Inventory has been dwindling for the past year and now this store has almost nothing to sell. Sell it to someone who actually wants to succeed, I would love to have access to a hardware store without having to get on the highway. My last time there was the last time I’ll waste my time, Lowe’s or Home Depot are farther but they’ll actually have something on the shelves.
Went today after hearing it’s under new ownership. Definitely night and day from the last few visits. Much friendlier and more helpful atmosphere. The paint section is getting stocked again. They had everything I needed today. Happy I can start supporting local again.
Not worth the drive. The website regularly shows items “available for pickup today!” At the Clements Ferry location but when you arrive you are greeted with empty shelves. The staff is not like your typical Ace staff. It’s mostly kids and they couldn’t care less. Save yourself the time and drive to the Ace on 17 or one of the big chains.
