  1. 10/10!!! Staff is AMAZING!!!! Just picked up my Lucy from her Spay Surgery. The surgeon and staff fell immediately in Love with her. They made sure she was comfortable & the facility was very clean. A huge and wonderful Shout out to Charleston Humane Society who were both affordable compared to $900 for this surgery and only charge 1/3 price plus they were just as nice as they could be to us. Which is rare these days but so appreciated 💙 I recommend to anyone seeking spay/neuter or adoption to DO SO HERE!!!

  2. We adopted our dog, Timber, last year from the Charleston Animal Society (CAS). He was found alone on the side of the road at only 3 weeks old. CAS took him in and fostered him until he was ready for adoption.
    He became sick the day after we brought him home. They were amazing and instantly brought him into their clinic and evaluated him, gave him fluids, and medicine to help him recover. We noticed when he was a little older that he had some fear anxiety and aggression. I called and they recommended a wonderful behaviorist/trainer that came to our home to evaluate him. We were able to work with her to help him overcome his fears and become a great family dog.
    They are a wonderful part of our community and truly care for the animals.

  3. They were helpful at first they put the cat to sleep without even looking at I understand they’ve got a lot of animals coming through the way they went about it was just not right other than that they were great

  4. I recently inquired about spaying my dog through my vet and they quoted me $800 since my dog is over 7. I researched around and came across the Animal Society. From start to finish, everything was great.

    The booking process is very easy. All you do is add your dog’s details to their form, and select the best date that fits your needs. Once you have done that, they quickly follow up with an approval/denial to your request. Once approved, they send a detailed list of things you may need before coming in. I got my girl’s blood drawn at my local vet and took the results and her vaccination history with me.

    I arrived at 7:30 am to drop her off and from the moment you walk in, everyone is very sweet. They could tell I was nervous and assured me everything would be okay and they would update me when she was out of surgery. They called me around 11:15 and told me I could pick her up 12:30ish-1 so they had time to monitor. I noticed while she was under anesthesia, they also trimmed her nails. This was very much appreciated, as my husky isn’t receptive to us doing it while she’s awake.

    We’re on day 3 and my girl seems to be doing great. If you’re looking for affordable means to spay/neuter your animal.. this is the place! They also do adoptions. Thank you so much to everyone who helped with my dog. ❤️

  5. I adopted Max in a very hard time in my life. He has brought me so much joy, and happiness while I was going through cancer treatment.

    I really like going to PetSmart! They have a wide variety of everything you need for your pet, from food to clothing toys, medications you name it they probably have it. The staff is super friendly and extremely helpful. And the best part is bringing your pet inside with you…. From dogs to goats they are always welcome 🤗

    Thank you to Donna in grooming! She was able to finish my same day, walk in service quickly and thoroughly explained all my options. We went with the “paw-dicure” package. She also informed me on which combs/brushes are best for my dog’s coat. Very friendly!

    In line too long and ended up putting what I was going to buy back on the shelf, and then left. One register open, and the cashier was super friendly and nice, but he was taking a long time to close transactions, seemed unaware the line was backed up so far, greeting arriving customers and chatting it up with them, etc… Not trying to be picky and we like shopping there, we just didn’t have time to wait that long today.

    Get crickets for my gecko there all the time, the people are like family. The fish are. Hit or miss…. Bought 10 neon tetras and ended up with one, of course they have that bring the dead back and you get a free one but who is going to find that in a 30 gallon heavily planet tank? No one is who.. snails attack the bodies, the filter intake. Does a number on them, shrimp Eat them…. Anyways. Good clean store, Friendly and knowledgeable people , decent stock, decent prices, seeing something’s always on sale! I love it, I’d highly recommend

    Brandi was not very helpful or friendly. I still needed fish which I waited for 10 minutes by the fish tanks and no one ever came by. They should have a button to call the employees over there. I had to walk away from the register and get a different item, and she had thrown my bag of cat food on the floor very disrespectful and then was rushing me to pay after she sent my son back to the fish tank when she knew I was paying for the fish as well

    Last week my mother and I went to Petco to look for a new bird cage for her cockatiel Angel. We met Clayton who would check us out, he went over the benefits of being on a membership plan through them. Clayton went over everything in depth with my mother and I appreciate his patience and understanding with a few questions she had. Recently my mom was diagnosed with colon cancer after her surgery a few weeks ago and during this moment everything is new to her and to have him take his time meant a lot. You knew never what someone is going through and how you treat or speak to someone says a lot. As someone who works in the financial world I value members who come into our financial center or come into my office. To talk with our members and help them understand everything says a lot about your character and this is why I thank Clayton. I have been a member with Petsmart/ Banifield for years and now Petco just gain our membership. Obrigada 👍 Clayton for your patience always remember someone will notice you.

    Honestly. So disappointed. Every single time we come to buy fish we get belittled to the point where we just leave. I understand “helping” customers understand and set up their rank for success but they are way too aggressive. Usually it doesn’t bother us. Recently I wanted to set up a specific type of tank with specific fish. I asked for help in getting it set up and what I would need. The employee made it seem impossible and wouldn’t help until we asked 4 times. And they literally will not sell you fish unless you have everything THEY suggest. Not a way to upsale or help. Great way to lose money and customers that come a lot though.

    Adorable Pet’s! Expensive, but the animals are super adorable, and I found everything I needed, but it’s much cheaper at PetSmart I wouldn’t recommend a ferret because they are very aggressive, but they are cute!
