This is the first time I’ve used their drive thru , and except for the time delay , I am impressed with the selection and friendliness. I ordered the Meatloaf “Stacker” sandwich and it’s basically an open faced sandwich which was very filling and very tasty. The only reason for 4 stars is the long wait.
This is the cleanest restaurant I’ve ever been in.
While in Grand Rapids I had to enjoy a breakfast stop, and I chose Russ’ Restaurant for that meal. Parking was a Plenty. Once inside I was amazed at how clean this place is!
The waitress Terri was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We placed our order, and waited for about 20 minutes for our food order. Coffee was topped off more than once during the wait for food. Food came out and everything looked great. I had the Eggs Benedict and found the food to be delicious. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meals.
I would highly recommend you visit this establishment. I cannot imagine anyone would be unhappy.

Yesterday I ordered from Russ’ Restaurant for the first time. We had Russ’ ‘Famous’ Hand Battered Onion Rings, Double Cheeseburgers, and Carrot Cake.
I’m always a bit leery when someone describes their product as famous but in this case I think it was justified; these were one of the two best orders of onion rings I’ve ever had in my life. Hand cut, crisp, and deliciously battered, I’m looking forward to having them again.
Their carrot cake was incredible, moist, firm, well spiced with a tasty cream cheese icing. It was one of the best tasting pieces of carrot cake, other than homemade, that it’s been my pleasure to devour.
The burgers however were a totally different story. I had requested they not be overcooked and mentioned I like my Burgers pink inside. What I got was totally overdone burgers without a trace of pink or any juiciness. For this reason I have to give Russ’ Restaurant three stars and instead of the five that the onion rings and carrot cake were leading up to. Future orders will have to have something else as the entree because the burgers were totally disappointing.
I don’t dine in. I do the drive-through. Each time I’ve gone through the service has been speedy. The woman who brings me my food is always friendly. And the food has always been good. I’ve gotten a slice of carrot cake, and it’s the best. I also get the turkey salad. It’s maybe a tad pricey for $13, but fairly, they do give you a nice large serving. The young man that takes my order cld be friendlier but overall I love this place and the food hasn’t disappointed.
For a super not busy day, it sure took forever for our waitress to come to us. A good 20 minutes and there were at least 2 waitresses and 3 other tables. She was very vague and robot like. Not friendly at all, got irritated when I didn’t understand something she was saying. Great on the refills though. Food was delicious. Do better next time yall. An apology goes a LONG way.
