  1. Ever since this Target added self-checkout, they’ve relied solely on it. At most, they open only one regular checkout line if self-checkout gets long. Better off going to the CVS across the street.

    10/7/19 update: this place either needs to solve their self-checkout problem or open up more than one regular cash register

  2. Really? We’ve come to this? Stood there several minutes, waving my hand at the device for staff with keys to come and unlock a $3 bottle of nanproxen. When there’s a whole liquor section near by not locked? Lord have mercy.

  3. It says on the app stuff is available, when you actually look at the aisle its empty. Not just me, 2 Target associates walked me to the aisle and found it empty lol

  4. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUYING FOOD HERE – I had a mouse run in front of me here in the Mexican food aisle. It appears to be living there in the hole at the end of the aisle. I took pictures and let target know. They laughed at me and said I might get a call back (I didn’t get a call back)

  5. The staff was so rude!
    I was at the shelf check out and my receipt wouldn’t print, so it took asking over 5 different employees if they worked they for help… all of them said no until one guys finally helped, only to get sass from him as well.
    I know working retail stinks but….. idk, I love target but NEVER going to the Columbia heights one again.

    This is one of the best Targets in the DMV. It is always stocked and staff is always working on the floor. Additionally, they have accessible ALL-GENDER bathrooms. This is one of my favorite Targets. Target is such a great place! Thanks Cleveland Park staff.

    Small but fairly well provisioned food section, with both snack foods and some home groceries, heavy on the convenience foods. Prices are high but better than other stores in the area. Conveniently open until 11 p.m. on Saturdays, in an area where other stores close at 9 or 10, but it closes earlier on other days of the week. Free parking with store validation. Downside: Service was sparse and heavily dependent on self-service—there were no employees on the floor helping customers, and of three employees around the checkout counter, only one was operating a register, quite lackadaisically.

    Great small format Target in a really accessible part of Cleveland Park (and just steps from the Metro stop). Impressed with their selection of fresh foods. Nice home goods section too. Unique underground store. Really friendly employees! I will certainly be back.

    This is not your normal Taget, everyone. It’s smaller and underground! It’s an amazing find just past the zoo

    Horrible experience!! First thing I noticed was the SMELL – smells like human waste through the whole store. There was not a single human cashier or even a self checkout attendant to fix the machines when 3/5 of them were stuck on ‘someone is on the way to help’ mode. By the time an employee finally came, we had been waiting for 10 minutes and had just gotten to a working register. The employee just walked by and didn’t acknowledge any of the customers or the fact that the registers weren’t working. Whatever. Short staffed and overworked and all that, okay fine. But when I asked where we get the parking validated, the employee vaguely pointed to my right and said ‘press the button twice’ and turned her back to me. When I asked which button, the employee huffed, stomped over, said ‘press the button twice’ with a nasty attitude as they lightly tapped a blue light (that was not a button), then walked away. 0/10 will NEVER go again.
