What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. We enjoyed this place the view is nice and the place was quick with service. We started with the baked oyster which was the best I’ve ever had and also we tried the escargot for the first time and It was very good. I didn’t think it would taste like it did sort of meaty like calamari. We did not sample any wine because we wanted sweet red and they didn’t have any at the time. For the main course we had trout and salmon. The salmon was great the trout was also good on it own I just didn’t like it a lot. They served us popcorn which was new, we didn’t bother it at all. So overall I am so glad we tried this place!

  2. First time at this location. Definitely recommend making reservations. Food was satisfying and booze were delicious. The beans that come with the shrimp Tacos were my favorite. They were so tasty that I added them to the tacos. Staff was pleasant and attentive.

  3. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty packed. We made a reservation but they were running behind which was OK. The food was really good. I enjoyed the Salmon, Fried Shrimp as well as the pastries and the Tuna with watermelon (weird right? But it was refreshing and really good).

  4. It took a few moments to get seated even with a reservation, but once we got seated the experience was 10/10.

Our waiter was excellent on suggestions and the food was fantastic! I forgot the name of the champagne we got but it was sweet with hints of apricot, beautiful bottle as well. We got the spicy shrimp (excellent choice) and duck fries for appetizers. Honestly that was so much food within itself!!

For the entree I got the heirloom tomato dish. The water described it as “interesting” and I would agree lol, but it was very good to try!

  5. an amazing experience every time i come! food and drinks are always delicious and use the freshest ingredients.
the servers really go above & beyond for a classy dining experience.

if you don’t like garlic, be wary of the ratatouille — delicious with the crusted bread but had strong garlic flavours

Wonderful! From the food to the waiters we had fun. I was very happy with how the staff was friendly and chatted with us while the team in the kitchen impressed us with the dishes. The halibut had slightly too much salt but I won’t fault them as it was still awesome. We will absolutely return

It was our first time at this restaurant, and we decided to celebrate my sister’s birthday here. We had a fantastic time, even though, the place was packed. We went on a Sunday and they had live music. It was a wonderful experience. The food was fabulous!! We tried escargots for the first time, and were delicious! Can’t wait to go back!

Lovely spot for fine dining and French cuisine. Celebrated my friend’s birthday and we were treated to live music outside. It was such a lovely vibe. The food was okay- a bit under seasoned for my taste and the prices are on the high end with small portions. The servers were friendly and patient.

This was a very nice restaurant. Our server Tony was great. We started with the rose all day punch which was great, the more the berries melt the better. This was followed by the brie appetizer, also outstanding. I got the French toast and my friend got the crab cake Benedict. We both agreed the French toast was on par with our other items, fantastic. However, she wasn’t the biggest fan of the crab cakes. She mentioned it lack a touch of seasoning and one egg was over cooked. These were small issues and we both would love to come back.

The atmosphere here is very lively with outdoor seating and live unique easy listening music. We got a house salad, charred octopus, escargot, and beef bourguignon. They were all unique and delicious. Oh, did I mention it was my birthday? My husband waited for the waiter but he hadn’t come back to check up on us. So he asked the host if they do anything special for my birthday, and the host said they do. She told our waiter and the waiter came with the firework cake. It was all wonderful until my husband noticed they charged him for the cake. I mean either you do something for my birthday or you don’t, but you shouldn’t charge me for something I didn’t even get a chance to pick. Anyway, we would want to come back to try other stuffs and maybe the outdoor area.

There is plenty of indoor and outdoor space and the staff is nice and friendly. The food was ready fast enough, although they forgot the order of one of us. The food is just La Madelin food, I suppose; not a wow but not too bad either. I am not a big fan of their menu in general because of very limited options and the prices are a little on the expensive side, given the amount and quality of the food. However, my biggest negative comment about this particular location is the furniture there! The tables and chairs are well worn out and discolored with age and many tables are wobbly which makes it very hard to use. There was also a leak where we were initially sitting, so we had to change tables. I wish I could give them a four star at least, but I think three starts is pretty fair for the current condition of this restaurant.

we visit la madeleine frequently and we like the caesar salad, especially me (that’s why we went), but in this place it seems that I have been served leftovers (in other places: westheimer/san felipe/610 is very good ), no cheese , served as if it were what was left of another dish and disgusting, too bad because really for special events we usually go to the Madeleine but we are VERY unhappy.

The staff is extremely helpful and gracious. They all welcomed us and were patient while taking our orders. The lady repeated our order correctly. The food was just warm when we got it. The chicken crepe didn’t look very fresh. Although, we did love the other food we ordered, including the cheese sandwich and tomato basil soup. Definitely recommend it for a quick brunch or a lunch place.

I would love to give this place 5 stars, but as other reviews have stated. The chairs are uncomfortable and there’s a lot of odors towards the restrooms that permeate through half of the restaurant. With that said the staff is amazing, the the food serving size + taste is great.

I had a great time in having breadfast in your place. Celia is a huge asset to the restaurant and deserves much kudos. We will definitely be back soon!! This location is my favorite spot for having the great experience of French cuisine.
