  1. Very nice. So many volunteers keeping the animals. Clean viewing rooms. Very kind staff. I rescued a Maltipoo there 12/days ago. When we picked him up, they had him completely groomed. It was a happy day for us and Charlie!

  2. I have visited 3 different shelters over the past 2 weeks. My friend wanted a dog. Friends of the Valley was the best shelter by far!!! The animals seemed cared for, the staff was friendly and eager to get their animals adopted. It was, by FAR! THE CLEANEST, BEST CARED FOR SHELTER!! there was a sense of hope, which was very lacking from the other places. I would recommend getting a pet from here. The other places made me cry, so I would recommend you always get shelter pets.

  3. I’ve visited this shelter many times over the last few months, and we finally decided to adopt a dog this month. The staff was incredible with accommodating our visits with our dog, answering our questions, providing as many details about him as possible, and more.

    We also noticed how excited our dog was to see the shelter staff when they took him out for us. He was clearly well taken care of during his time there. I’m glad to know he had a good temporary home. Our adoption process went smoothly, and now we’re settling in with our amazing new pet.

    I’m still shocked at how well behaved our dog is after being a stray and spending some time in the shelter. He’s amazing, and I’m so happy that we decided to adopt with AFV.

  4. The staff is always friendly and the facility clean. Always putting on events to get the animals adopted. It was puppy palooza today but I went in to adopt a cat. There were minimal cats, which I great, I was able to find the sweetest 3 year old.

  5. Within the last two years, I’ve adopted two beautiful dogs from here that have brought our family so much joy!! Both these beautiful furbabies were abandoned, and in the shelter for several weeks, seemingly well cared for before we rescued them both. Both adoption experiences were positive and easy. The staff, volunteers and walkers really show care for the animals there. Also this is the cleanest and most well maintained animal shelter I have ever walked into! I try to donate anything I can to them from towels to blankets to treats.

    I went here on December 14th to adopt my American bulldog after having to put my other American bulldog down on December 10 and I can’t say enough about how helpful those folks were in helping me to find the best replacement for Mickey. I’m happy and he’s happy to be together. I would recommend this place to everyone that’s looking for that special friend. I found him through American bulldog rescue which led me to Ramona humane society. They have lots of animals that need a forever home at their place that would make you as happy as me and max are. I would recommend these folks to anyone who needs a pet that will love you like no human ever could

    Where to begin…for starters the staff could care less about you or your animals. My English Bulldog was stolen for a month nearly and was brought to them this week by some person saying he was shot in the head. I found out yesterday that he was there frantically I go first thing at 8am and the staff were SO INSENSITIVE AND NOT HELPFUL. They told me he was adopted out yesterday and there’s nothing they could do for me. They gave no regards for my tears, service animal paperwork, or pictures. The large heavy set girl told me not to wait around basically because he was already neutered and long gone. How evil. I pray they never have to experience this pain my family is in.

    My husband and I went to find a companion friend for our Benny, a German shepherd 7 year old male dog. We found a 2 year old Cane Corso female dog and brought her home with us, and we couldn’t be happier. Instant friends, and we love seeing them together playing and running. Ramona Humane Society were really helpful, and they were sad knowing she was leaving because of the fact that she had been there seens pups. We are a family of 4 now, and we couldn’t be happier.

    Great experience arrived for the scheduled appointment, brought the pup out right away to an enclosed area. Answered questions and concerns I had; decided to adopt. Brought paperwork to me filled it out paid the fees and pick up the puppy after she’s spayed. Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Ephiny has been fantastic addition to the family.

    They only had 1 wire crate in the size I needed on the shelf, and it was an opened box. Could not find anyone to help me get it down and place it in my cart. However. I received excellent customer service from the cashier, she told me she would give me a discount for the open box which she did, and offered to get some help to put it in my car.

    Grooming Department. Booked an appointment for 8am in the morning. Show up with my old disabled dog and wait for 30 minutes to check in. Get to the front and try to check in for my appointment that was verified multiple times the day before and they tell me that I wasn’t on the schedule. I ask if they can squeeze me in because it’s their fault for making such a big mistake and wasting my time. They tell me no to come back another day. I told I was going to give them a 1 star review and they acknowledged that was fine and they don’t care. Never returning. Lost me as a customer for life.

    My first time here for grooming. They did a good job grooming my dog………but he got fleas from there. My dog is an only pet and I rarely have guests. This is the first time since I got him that he’s had fleas just over eight years.

    We have worked with Eileen T. All throughout our dog training experience and it has been absolutely amazing! She is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely cares about helping you and your dog meet the goals you set! Our dog has gone from being anxious and reactive to qualifying for the therapy dog program and it’s all thanks to the help and guidance of Eileen! I recommended her to everyone I know that is looking to do dog training! She is the best!
