I’m here again for an issue that may take a little more time as long as I am consistent with my visits and do my self-home care as advised by Dr. V. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. Dr. V. is very knowledgeable, professional and provides you with his full attention, concerns and total interest in your recovery and overall well being. He’s efficient with is treatments and friendly. My experience with Downtown Healthcare has been incredible so far. From day one during my initial assessment with my amazing case manager, Josie, I felt so genuinely cared for. She asked me holistic questions and guided me in taking an accurate look at my current health and seeing the potential for healing. I felt so supported in making big decisions around the care that best fit my needs. I’m excited to be receiving treatments, like trigger point injections, shock wave therapy, ozone therapy, etc., while getting adjustments, and utilizing the interactive rehab room and machines. I feel so encouraged to be recovering with such lovely people. Every single person that works there is so kind, positive, and helpful. After a “free consultation” that involved a $50 out of pocket fee for a mandatory X-ray, I met with a case manager named Josie. She and her colleague used a lot of scare tactics and exaggerated claims about what could happen to my health if I don’t proceed with their treatment to pressure me into signing up that same day for a $4,500 plan. They made comments about how good my insurance and credit score were, which felt very slimy and inappropriate. I can’t comment on the quality of treatment here, as I decided to avoid moving forward but I would recommend physical or massage therapy as alternatives. After 19 days of neck pain, with tingling running down my arm to my fingers, I took the advice of a friend and went to Dr. Artichoker’s office. Prior to the visit I had tried a new office chair, new monitor setup, a special neck pillow at night, and several sessions with a physical therapist – nothing worked. I kinda assumed the same would be true for the chiropractor.
I went to my appointment and told them what was going on. They took an X-ray to get a better idea of what was happening. Side note: the X-ray was really cool (and informative). I decided to do some muscle work, the electrode machine thing, an adjustment and this machine that does traction on your neck. This all took maybe 1 hour? 1.5 tops.
Right after, I was feeling sore. I figured it would take more sessions to start feeling relief. BUT! Within a few hours I realized I wasn’t having the sharp pain anymore. By bedtime the pain was entirely gone, and I had my first night of sleep without arm pain and tingling in almost 3 weeks. My mood was improved (pain does funny things to your mood) and I felt great!
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I hope this is helpful to someone who is experiencing pain and trying to get relief. Best wishes to you!

Honestly I have been to a lot of Chiropractors in Denver, and a huge common issue with them is that they will exacerbate any issues in order to sell a “plan” which costs thousands of dollars, this chiropractic office doesn’t do any of that. I have only been in 3 or 4 times and the amount of difference I feel from each visit is 10x the amount of relief I ever got from those horrible expensive plans sold by other doctors. Amazing staff, amazing chiropractors, and they literally find the issue whether it’s muscular or skeletal, highly highly recommend, even if it’s just one visit, it is well worth the try. I had never even heard of ART before this and the simplicity of it and ability to have it done creates immense relief and honestly is just a phenomenal craft to use in chiropractic work. It’s been years since i could stand up straight without massive pain and after 2 treatments all I feel now is tightness, which can be resolved in a short time!
Dr. Lukas is truly amazing; very knowledgeable and educational for someone who is not as familiar with the science of chiropractic methods. It had been a year since I visited the chiropractor and I found myself starting to have sharp pain in my left shoulder/neck area that was hindering my ability to conduct everyday activities at 100%. Upon visiting Dr. Lukas I was operating around 60%. He was able to skillfully use ART techniques as well as gentle adjustments to the affected areas. I immediately felt better with less tension in my shoulders. I scheduled a follow up appointment the following week and upon return I was happy to report I was operating at 85-90% due to this service. I will absolutely continue to see Dr. Lukas for standard adjustments or necessary treatments – highly recommend.
Excellent service here! I’ve been having IT band problems for over 4 weeks before coming here. Since going here I’ve had significant improvements in my IT band! Dr Lucas has been so great and kind on working with me through it all! He used the ART (active release technique) to really help strengthen my IT band, along with a couple lower back adjustments! Overall I am very pleased with the service I received here and would recommend anyone looking for any type of adjustments or rehab muscle strengthening to consider coming here!
