Did I stress friendly and welcoming atmosphere?!By Tricia W (a year ago)This is an independent living retirement home and each resident has their own apartment which includes a separate private bath, small kitchenette with a fridge and microwave. There is also a sitting area connected to the bedroom which gives each resident their own private space. The place has recently been remodeled and is beautiful. To reach the home you drive down tree lined streets with mods hanging off of every tree, it is very Savannah. The feeling continues inside with an open atrium, large dining room with a personal chef and numerous sitting rooms for fun, arts and crafts, group exercise, social gatherings or just watching TV. The staff is very caring and very to know each resident very well. It is Place you feel good about moving an elderly relative into a well as visiting a resident.By Donna Herfurth (6 years ago)My Mom stayed here for several years. This place has gone downhill every year. We recently moved her because she was so unhappy. The Manager at this location doesn’t care & needs to find a new career path!! She’s rude and doesn’t want to make things better. It’s sad. This location needs new Management. The community is a great value for the price, there aren’t any big buy in fees or long term leases…the staff works hard every to keep residents safe and happy…my Dad feels at home here…By Shelby Miller (3 years ago)I hate going into assisted living communities or rehabilitation centers or the like and I smell old odors or urination. I did not have that feeling at all here at River’s Edge. I liked hearing the announcements of the different activities that were going on and the apartment size for the small apartment was very large. The Social at Savannah really helped us out after our mother had a stroke. The staff was great in helping us deal with her insurance issues and they were very attentive to her problems. Through all the emotions they were encouraging and empathetic. We wouldn’t do anything different and we would use their services again.
The Social at Savannah is a community for all stages of care from Independent Living to Assisted Living, and Memory Care. Residents can transition into a different level as they need it. The staff at The Social are pleasant, friendly, caring and compassionate. I get the sense of not only the great features of this facility but the well-being of every residents in their need for safety, healthy lifestyle and happiness.
There are not enough words to describe the incredible environment, passionate care team and leadership at Social at Savannah. The heartbeat of this community radiates when you walk in the door. I love the variety of activities and opportunities for socialization for older adults here. The energy is contagious and there is no doubt how much the team here LOVES their residents and their families.
I live at the assisted living community at The Social at Savannah. I’ve been here since Nov 19 of 2022. I initially was reluctant to move but I love it here now. The residents are wonderful and employees are tremendous. I really enjoy getting a ride to shopping with all my new friends. I had no idea I would love and appreciate a new place and a new social group at this stage in life. I highly recommend the Social.
My Sister had been a longterm resident at Social @ Savannah since 2019 until her recent passing. She loved her residential situation there & made many friends with other residents living in the independent living facility over that time. Nice place for an older person to call home if they need some over site with a meal plan offered but who otherwise still want to live on their own.
