What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Greenville Humane Society is the best place for a pet parent to come to make sure all of your fur babies are healthy, happy and thrive!
They have flexible hours, a vaccine clinic with walk-in hours, and extremely courteous AND knowledgeable staff. They have the CHEAPEST prices for flea/tick/parasite control and prevention that I have found….and believe me when I tell you I have spent more hours than I would like to admit researching the competition, including buying these items on-line!
The best thing about choosing Greenville Humane Society for your flea/tick protection needs is that you have the option to buy single doses for each pet without a prescription! This means I never have to skip these necessary products because of the related expense.
I have had many dogs and cats through the years and The Greenville Humane Society has always been there to spay/neuter/microchip my beloved pets. I recommend them highly if you are seeking quality, convenient and affordable pet care in a loving, professional environment.
Thanks Greenville Humane Society from me, my family and our pack!

  2. I went here to check on a volunteer application for my son. When I say they have the cutest little pups ever, that is the absolute truth. The kittens are nice too. The adoption fee is reasonable and I love the assistance they provide for the furry guys.

  3. This review is about the adoption process and the services the provide, both occasions are separate.

I adopted two kittens from Greenville Humane Society a year and a half ago. The adoption process was easy, with meet & greet in a private playroom, providing documents for verification, then completion. All of the animals are suggested to be taken to the vet within 15 days which we did but we weren’t followed up. I suggest for wellness checks after a month or 6 months just to make sure the animals are adjusting well.

The animals are well cared for but when we adopted our cats, my orange one had fleas which were in his health documents but he also had worms from fleas which were not noted in his file.

We buy our 3-month fleas/tick prevention medication from them and annual boosters. We also did their microchip here. The price points are affordable and it’s great service.

  4. I highly recommend this facility for spay and neuter services! We adopted a stray kitty that found its way to our home last December, and since we are all allergic to cats, she now lives happily outside on our covered deck.

We knew we needed to get her fixed, but all the vets we called were going to charge around $500. I met a wonderful lady in Greenville who rescues cats, and she recommended the Greenville Humane Society.

I am a huge animal lover, and must admit that I dreaded going to the place I have always imagined to be ‘the dog catcher’s’ house. However, I was pleasantly surprised at what a great facility it is. It looks cheerful, and they offer many services that I was not aware of.

We live almost an hour away, but I wish I lived close enough to volunteer. I highly encourage any animal lover to donate and/or volunteer.

Our cat had her surgery, and she has had an amazing recovery. They also gave her all of her shots, tested her for feline leukemia, and sent us home with pain meds – all for WAY less money than our vet would charge.

    Highly recommend! ❤️

  5. Great bunch of people! We had our most recent rescue spayed. Lucille (Lucy) came out a little Loopy, but when it all wore off, she’s full of life and she healed very quickly. We gave her this baby elephant for being such a good girl. She loves her elephant!

Went searching for frozen blood worms for my mimic saddle puffer fish, Toby. He is a recent addition to my tank. While I was house sitting and then in NY, he stopped eating. I needed to act fast and did not have time to wait for delivery options. They had a decent supply of dry and frozen marine fish foods.

I needed to purchase a dog stroller so I looked online before I drove all the way to the store. It said it was in stock. When I got to the petsmart on woodruff road it was NOT in stock. So while I was in the store I called the one on Laurens Road. I explained what happened and asked if she could check the shelves at that store before I drove over there to have the same thing happen. She told me that she could not look for me because they were short staffed! Very poor customer service in my opinion.

Customer service is always great when employees are not overwhelmed by unreasonable expectations. It’s sad to see retail in such bad shape with incompetent companies paying less and demanding more. 4 stars due to a great product selection and clean store. The complaint I have is long checkout times due to failure by management to adequately staff the front of the store. Sadly, however, this is common workplace practice that won’t change until we as consumers communicate that it must.

We have a dog that has special care needs and a diet is the only place that we go to get her food. The employees always are happy to answer questions address concerns And they seem to truly love the animals that they provide service for.

Today was the first time I’ve been into a Petco . My best friend purchased a Designer dog ( Cavapoo) . And this puppy is spoiled . And by just going to Petco to grab some different puppy food. It turned into the best experience my entire life at any Pet store. Not only did she bring the best customer service in the world . She was the most knowledgeable employee I’ve ever met a pet store . Showing us the best food , to crate, to toys, recommendations of a vet (Petco vet ) , to signing up for the training class. And I love when she stated , “ Why would you feel a dog what you won’t put into your body . So read the ingredients.” It was just an amazing experience. Ayla (Dog Trainer) was the most positive, intellectual, patient , and knowledgeable person at any Petco in America . Because of her, I will be going back . And even the team around her were so patient and full of smiles as well . This has to be the best Petco in the World

The groomer manager was very rude. they treated me and my yorkie very badly. They told me that the appointment that I booked online was not an available appointment for the service I booked after they had confirmed the appointment with me via email and text. They made me move the appointment up and then after I had to pay someone to bring her earlier when I came to get her hours later she was not done and they were very rude about it. They then preceded to tell me they did not ask me to bring her in earlier and I have a voicemail proving that they did. Then he refused to complete her grooming when I asked them to accommodate me for the inconvenience of it all by taking off a percentage of the service. He said he would not give me anything and yelled across the store to the groomer that was working on her to stop and that they would not touch my baby and I could leave. I had to get the store manager Jenny involved and she witnessed this all and agreed to refund me totally. I would like to speak to someone in corporate about this experience. This was our first time booking and I will NEVER return!
