  1. It was quick and easy to arrange an appointment—I submitted a request online that was quickly followed up on and confirmed via phone. On the day-of, I received a reminder text and phone call to notify me when their employee was ~30 min away. The text also included the name and photo of the employee who would be assisting me. Sam helped me out with fixing a valve problem on my sink, and was friendly, professional, and efficient. He was up-front about the cost and was transparent with my options. Very happy with the service overall!

  2. I did my homework before getting my 40 year old boiler replaced. I got bids from multiple contractors, did a slew of internet searches and finally landed on Minneapolis St. Paul Plumbing as my installers. After multiple conversations with Nick Bender, I ended up with a combination high efficiency boiler & hot water heater for a reasonable price. Installation took less than a day and was accomplished with professionalism, a willingness to explain the new boiler nuances to me and to keep my home clean despite the mess of removal.   3. Very friendly, informative, punctual, knowledgeable. All the staff that came to the house were friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and awesome with my pets. They even came up with a more strategic plan to move my water heater over to give me more room while replacing my furnace and air conditioner. Management-keep your staff, they are good at their jobs!!!

  5. We had a small leak, but in a difficult spot to fix. Nick did a great job discussing what he needed to do and was up front about the pricing. He finished quickly and was very professional. Plumbing is never cheap but Nick did a great job that was done right!

    Came out Saturday afternoon when called midday. Spent 4 hours to get sewer working. Then set everything up for replacing sewer line to city. Done by Tuesday afternoon. I am very satisfied.

    My drain in my laundry room backup and I had water all over the laundry room floor plus I could but flush the toilets. I called Roto Rooter after talking to other company’s who either would not come to a town home, or could not come out today. The person I talked to on the phone was so nice and told me someone would be out in 30 to 45 minutes. True to his word Adam the service tech came in 45 minutes. Adam was so nice and did a GREAT JOB. He got the drain unclogged but felt that they my be a issue with the drain structure. They are going to send someone with a camera to scope out the mainline. I am very satisfied with the service from start to finish. Thank you Carol Aldrich

    Andrew arrived promptly as promised. He did an excellent job of cleaning out my sewer drains and cleaned up afterwards. I was informed about all charges prior to starting the job. More than one drain line was clogged which cost just a little bit more. Andrew kept me completely updated to the additional cost. Great work!! Will call again when needed. Highly recommend!

    Roto-Rooter staff very efficient in making an appointment. Liked the updates on plumber’s arrival. Andrew was very helpful in his explanations on what he will do to unclog the bathtub drain and up front with cost. Did a very thorough job and checked his work 3 times.     Our experience with Rascher was excellent. Getting an appointment was quick and Ed arrived on time. Ed evaluated the problem we had with our baseboard heat and knew exactly how to fix it. The repair was done to our satisfaction. We also mentioned a plumbing problem we had with a vintage water fixture. He called a co-worker who delivered the necessary parts and now that long term problem is fixed too! We would definitely use Rascher again. Plus Ed was a polite and nice guy!

    After using rauscher over the past year for various services and spending thousands of dollars my dad and I are unhappy with our experience dealing with this company. During our first visit they sent a plumber with an obvious body odor problem. For what they are charging personal hygiene should be a given and it was so strong it took me over 30min to air our home out. When I mentioned this to Dave he didn’t seem receptive to that feedback and from that point on has been cold in our interactions. Second, they bill you by the minute including the time it takes for them to total up the bill and the time it takes to fill out the check. If they did excellent work this wouldn’t be a big issue but during our latest service call the plumber we had missed a leak with our sink pipes while installing a new garbage disposal. He forgot the new toilet seat and had to waste time calling the office to send out a replacement. He also left a dirty bucket filled with dirty water in our home for us to deal with. Be advised if you choose a toilet or any fixtures from Ferguson and use Rauscher to install Rauscher significantly marks up the cost. Also be advised that their hourly rate increases every May which they don’t disclose on their website or during scheduling calls. Dave has been unpleasant to deal with, his arrogance and scheduling mistake caused a delay in our service and stress. Instead of being apologetic and offering a discount due to his mistake he acted cold and indifferent and like it was our problem for not wanting to use the plumber he sent instead of the one we had requested. The last guy they sent out to seal the sink pipe didn’t fix the leak. Whatever paste he used to seal it is easily wiped off, he didn’t do the bottom rim just the top leaving water dripping through onto the area below the sink. He never recommended replacing that pipe piece or communicated options to us before he left. We will never use them again and they didn’t fix the the sink drip they most likely created during the garbage disposal install. First 2 photos are of it leaking after they said it was fixed third photo is before they came out to fix it.

    Tim was amazing! We’ve had weak water pressure in our shower for a couple months and finally got around to getting it fixed. Rascher had the most competitive pricing, and great reviews, so we decided to give them a try. Tim was able to get the job done with minimal impact to the walls. (Another place had said they’d need to remove large sections of wall in both bathrooms, including tiles. Tim used a small space and taped the drywall back in place so we can patch it up ourselves, rather than calling in another service!) After fixing all the pipes and shower, he checked our other faucets and managed to fix the pressure in them too! We always assumed we’d just have poor water pressure because our house is over 100 years old, but it’s amazing now! I’ve never been so excited about a shower or to have my husband do the dishes!! They also didn’t make us feel pressured into anything, which I appreciated. We will absolutely use them again!!

    Rascher replaced an old concrete laundry tub and reworked the plumbing in my laundry room to include a new standpipe and water hook up for the washer. It was a big job, and Jason and Caleb did great. I worked with Joe initially on estimates and advice about the job, and he was always so helpful and responsive. The results came out better than I expected, and I couldn’t be happier!

    Rascher Plumbing and Heating did an amazing job on a tricky 100 year old galvanized water line running out to our garden hose. Matt was punctual, knowledgeable and extremely conscientious about the work, and Jennifer was responsive in scheduling and ensuring I knew up front what to expect. Matt replaced a galvanized water line that was hidden in the ceiling behind ducting and very hard to get to – and he was done in less than three hours and all cleaned up. Because I was picky about where the shutoff valve would be located, Matt came back out the following day and graciously changed the location of the shutoff valve, for which he did not charge anything extra. Throughout the whole experience, I found Rascher plumbing to be an excellent shop and very knowledgeable and considerate. I would highly recommend working with them for any water or HVAC jobs – especially in these old St Paul houses that have lots of quirks. Many thanks to Rascher Plumbing and Heating!
