What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Really enjoyed our time at this new RV park! Great owners, Lana & Elmer were wonderful. New concrete sites, grass, nice fields with cows & pigs. Nice laundramat with more improvements to come… There is Great birdwatching there! We saw Long billed curlews, Green Jays, White tailed hawk, Kestrels, kestrels everywhere, crested Caraca, western meadowlarks, brown pelicans, & alot more. They have common firepits & nice open spaces…just across the street is Baffin Bay which is pretty good fishing. we will be back there again…very quiet!

  2. We love this quiet, comfortable park. It is our favorite get-away when we want to be near the beach but avoid the noisy boaters and crowds! I love their contactless and convenient check-in process especially during the current pandemic! Our dogs and I love the guest-only beach access and gated natural area with fishing pier and kayak rentals available. It’s a short walk to Loyola Beach which is also quiet and beautiful with birds galore! I don’t know why the other reviewer complained about the stickers, after washing off my shoes at the free fish cleaning station I often walk barefoot back to our spot with not one sticker! These are very friendly and accommodating folks, they even brought me quarters at night when I needed to do laundry and realized I was out of quarters. They also recommended a local restaurant that has the best seafood I’ve ever had on the Gulf!

  3. We have been here two months and love the peace and quiet. Great access to the bay, private pier, private catch and release pond. Most everything one would need is pleasant drive to Kingsville, and if you need more alternatives and tourist attractions, Corpus Christi 50-60 minutes away.

Great seafood is within walking distance, or you just make your own. Nice convenience store, bait shop, and gas .8 miles. Public boat launch, fishing pier, and park less than a mile away.

  4. We are loving the peace and quiet here. Simple living at its best. Laundry room is nice. Pond for catch and release fishing. Access to dock and bay short walking distance. Not fancy. No events but you can attend events held by the larger RV park just down the road.

  5. We stayed here for about 5 months for my husband job and really enjoyed how quiet it is. It’s not overwhelmed with too many people so it’s so peaceful. The owners are so sweet and always replies anytime we need anything. Love that she talks more like she would to a friend than just business. It kept up nicely. The owner and their son also does fishing trips so that’s a nice little bonus if that’s something you’ve been wanting to do!! Would stay again for sure!!

Stay Safe at the Beach: 10 Essential Tips

Here are some safety tips for a holiday at the beach:

  1. Always swim in designated areas. These areas are patrolled by lifeguards who can help you if you get into trouble.
  2. Don’t swim alone. Always have someone with you, especially if you’re not a strong swimmer.
  3. Don’t swim after drinking alcohol. Alcohol can impair your judgment and make it more difficult to swim safely.
  4. Be aware of the tides and currents. Strong currents can quickly pull you out to sea, so it’s important to be aware of them and swim in areas that are protected from strong currents.
  5. Check for rip currents before you go in the water. Rip currents are strong currents that can pull you out to sea. If you see a rip current, swim parallel to the shore to get out of it.
  6. Don’t swim in areas where there are jellyfish or other marine life. Some jellyfish can sting, and others can be dangerous.
  7. Apply sunscreen liberally and often, even on cloudy days. The sun’s rays can be strong even when it’s not sunny, and sunburn can be painful and dangerous.
  8. Wear a hat and sunglasses to protect your face and eyes from the sun.
  9. Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated. It’s easy to get dehydrated in the sun, so make sure you drink plenty of water or other fluids.
  10. Watch your children closely at all times. Children can get into trouble quickly at the beach, so it’s important to watch them closely and keep them within arm’s reach.

Here are some additional tips for staying safe at the beach:

  • Check the weather forecast before you go. If there is a storm coming, it’s best to stay away from the beach.
  • If you are caught in a rip current, don’t panic. Swim parallel to the shore to get out of it.
  • If you see someone who is in trouble, call for help immediately.

By following these tips, you can help ensure a safe and enjoyable holiday at the beach.
