What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. We stayed here recently to meet family. From the moment of our arrival we had a wonderful experience. The rooms were excellent, the food was fantastic. The staff were the the most friendly, helpful and attentive group of people I have ever met. The special effort made to organize a special family function at short notice was exceptional and greatly appreciated. I was unable to find fault with any aspect of my stay. I would not hesitate in recommending this establishment to anyone wanting a relaxing enjoyable holiday. Five star plus.

  2. Excellent hotel situated at an excellent location, friendly staff who were attentive and always willing to give a helping hand and superb amenities, including for kids. Just a feedback that the in-room dining could have been better in terms of the quality of food. Will sure to come back if we’re heading back to Kota Kinabalu.

  3. Check in was seamless as I used the app. Over at counter I just needed to get my key and I felt lack of warmth coming from a resort. Have feedback this formally hence please take note. I was left to find my room given the resort is huge, no briefing of my package and suggestions of what i should do to book my island transfer or where to do my 1 hour non motorized activity.

Hotel facilities was great, rooms has hit and misses such as a very blurry tv (though it didn’t really matter as we were out) and not very cold fridge but otherwise we love the room space as we are a family with 2 young kids. Especially love the thoughtful drying rack at balcony and also ample of racks in toilet.

Dinner buffet at cafe tatu was great, breakfast buffet spread was nice just that it’s the same everyday. There is a great kids corner breakfast for little children which was thoughtful. Coffee machine needs a little improvement as it’s dispensing slowly and a long queue for it.

The ice cream bar was awesome and level of sweetness from the ice cream sandwich my kids ordered was really great. Less sweet is really more! Slides were great, baby pool was less chlorinated and great bigger pool for adults.

I would recommend coming back surely if not for the lovely sunset view.

  4. A resort that truly deserves its 5 stars.
You get both sea and Mountain View at once!

Love their poolside and sunset bar view, really astonishing!

Room is very comfortable and well maintained.
The service crew is really accommodating our requests. Kudos to the team!

Horizon lounge is only reserved for club members.
    Overall, the food is good!

Our room allows us to have the Kinabalu Mountain View, truly amazing.
    Would totally recommended.

  5. The hotel is a very comfy stay. The room was big, quiet and had very good view. All the staffs were very polite and liked to greet us every time we walk past them. The breakfast buffet was great, with good variety of food options. And the hotel is near to the beach.

Deserves my 5 star, though not the best hotel I’ve been to. Very clean and tidy in both common areas and room. Rooms come with a large balcony with an amazing view. Large compound a lot to explore just wished they had a better designed pool. Ordered extra bed, extra breakfast pass came with! Overall a great experience.

There for a work trip. The rooms seen age but is still well taken care. The environment and ambience of the surroundings exudes resort feel and relaxing for morning or night walk. Clear waters and amazing sunset view. Staff are friendly and great service by them. Buffet breakfast is decent and overlooking the sea view, amazing. Very convenient to go around town in Kota Kinabalu. Close to airport and plenty of food options. E-hailing services are very fast and reasonable to travel around. Hope to revisit if given the opportunity for a leisurely trip instead of work.

Not wheelchair friendly. Lots of stairs and curbs. Also the hotel is at least a 10 minute ride from malls and eateries. However it is a 10 min ride from the airport which is good. Rooms 2/5: had a baby cockroach in it, others had mould/stain on the wall. Bathtub was yellowing and not as clean as expected. Service 3/5: did not replace the only tissue box in the room even though requested. Room service is good. Ferry/boat, transport and sea sports planning services were good. Food 3/5: timings are specific. So if you arrive at odd timings, you may miss out on eating immediately in the hotel. Facilities 3/5: pool has 3 slides the rest no other slides or anything

A sprawling resort that is well managed by the dedicated staff who are prompt with fulfilling requests and enquiries. We booked a three night stay and this is just my second day here and we are happy with our experience. There were no issues with noise and crowded areas though the resort seemed to be active with many foreign guests. Highly recommended for those who want to relax by the sea and enjoy the ambiance and hospitality of a reputable brand.

My family had an enjoyable stay here. Location is convenient and accessible to key areas. Food in the resort was good as well. Suggest to have more activities for older children ie tandem bicycles, karaoke etc.

I have stayed at this hotel for two nights in September 2022, and I had a wonderful experience. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and memorable. One particular event stood out to me – on the day of my departure, I had an early morning flight and needed to leave the hotel before the breakfast service started. However, the staff at the hotel were incredibly thoughtful and arranged for a morning cab to take me to the airport and even packed breakfast for me to take with me. It was an unexpected and appreciated gesture that made my departure so much smoother. Aside from the exceptional service, the hotel itself was very comfortable and clean. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with all the amenities I needed for a pleasant stay. The location was also convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and transportation. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. The staff’s attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond for guests truly sets it apart from other hotels. I would definitely stay here again in the future. A small feedback to make it perfect will be: staffs probably have good heart but they are generally less friendly by their gesture/tone and less expressive compared to other similar hotel, including Hilton KL.

Thoroughly enjoyed this place and would stay again. The staff were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble even from the weirdest requests – they were eager to please. The suite rooms were amazing and lots of space. The tea bar was an absolute delight and so was the lounge. The food was delicious and freshly made even down to the juice where it is juiced made to order. The food were exquisite and beautifully presented. The spa and gym facilities were great – all it needs now is a 24h access! Highly recommend this place. It’s less that 15 minutes from the airport and right in the heart of town.

Went for a short trip and stayed there for 3 nights. The service is good and the location itself is well placed with a few local restaurant nearby and convenient store. Shopping plaza are few minutes drive away as well. The room is space and comfy. All basic utilities are provided in the hotel as well.

Had such an amazing stay here and everyone was extremely nice. The breakfast was amazing, by far one of the best that I have ever had. I got upgraded to a nice one bedroom suite, which really blew my mind by how big it was. Overall my entire stay was AMAZING and i will definitely be coming back to this hotel next time I visit KK!

Stayed here two nights in the king executive room. Left over room service items from previous guest were left outside my room when I arrived at the room. The room allocated to me has two adjoining doors to next rooms on both sides. There were two attempts by one of the neighbour to open the adjoining door and the these doors have very poor sound proofing. Lounge service was excellence although there is room for improvement in food quality. Breakfast spread was ok. There is no private check-in for executive lounge guests. On the positive side, Nigel at concierge is very attentive to the needs of guests.
