What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. My husband and I went to this store to look at and purchase artificial grass. A lot of the stuff they offered online was either not in stock or we couldn’t purchase online. It was pretty busy at this location and usually is because of the other stores in the strip mall. Since I had already done quite a bit of research online I knew which area of the store we needed to go to and they didn’t have a lot to choose from, however they did have a few of the artificial, pet friendly turf we were looking for. I asked a salesperson for help in that department and they did send someone over. The gentleman that helped us was actually clocking out for the day, however he told us that because he wasn’t sure who would be able to help us that he would quickly get permission from his supervisor to stay over so he could help us with our questions and product selection. He was great!! He answered all questions so that it made it easier to make our final selection. Because he needed help rolling out this heavy artificial grass, he quickly disappeared and then reappeared with a co-worker to assist him in rolling out, measuring and wrapping plastic around our selection. We made a few more purchases but I just had to let you know that this gentleman back in the garden department was absolutely wonderful. He didn’t have to go the extra mile and do what he did. Most people would walk on by and not give it a second thought, but he really helped us that day and we greatly appreciated it and love our new grass!!

  2. what can i say it’s always fun to go to this store i get caught up with the tool section and imagine everthing i can build and create with some of the tools not mention they have tool sales and deals most of the year . they also have things to start a small business like a power washer business or a gardening business as well as a auto detailing basically everthing for the d.i.y person or the hard working people all in a single place

  3. When i l got a long piece of steel, it apparently didn’t have a barcode on it that I wish I would have checked before getting to the cashier bcuz they then asked me to go get another one for them to scan, shouldn’t they have had an employee go grab that other one, it isn’t my fault that the barcode was removed. But other than that it was an ok visit, it was very lonely, but it was Monday at like 7:00pm..

  4. This is likely the worst Home Depot location You’re going to find anywhere. The entire store is messy, disorganized and poorly stocked. Some customers can get an employee to personally assist them with their entire shopping experience while other customers (like myself) cannot even get a simple yes or no question answered. This Home Depot has the smallest parking lot of any other business this size in Bakersfield. Rather than making the limited parking available to their paying customers, they allow countless day laborers and street vendors to commandeer the majority of their parking lot blocking access to their business. From now on, I will just drive the extra distance and shop elsewhere.

  5. Not my favorite depot. But its closest to me. I avoid the solar reps best I can.they are very annoying. I don’t expect much help from the associates. I get what I need and get out. It also has a very questionable parking lot.

Melvin, an employee was stocking shelves when I approached him with some questions. Unlike many employees, (at many different businesses) Melvin turned to with a smile on his face instead of looking like I was slowing him down and answered each question on top of checking to see if the items I wanted were in stock. There were a couple of things that weren’t. Melvin then told me that since I had already put them in my online shopping cart that I could easily go to the service desk and that they’d be happy to help me place the order for them. I did not place the order that day, (I did from home) and thanks to Melvin I did pick up (that day) an item that held me over until my order arrived and I’m one happy camper. 😁👍

Great hardware store overall with most everything you need! Prices are good but you should know a thing two about what you’re DIYing, staff is friendly but it is not their job to give expert advice. If you need it you can get a little more help but have to pay a little more at the competitors’.

At 3:30pm today I just the worst experience with Home Depot staff. Needed to pickup several items and a staff member was in a lift. I ask him if he was going to be done in the next 5 to 10 minutes. He looked at me and said, much longer. Can I grab these item, reply, no. I ask a person at the service desk and they were not interested in getting that items. No more Home Depot , back to Lowe’s.

I always thought I preferred Home Depot over Lowe’s for some reason. But lately, every time i end up at HD I’m sorely disappointed or completely aggravated by the complete lack of organization and options. Even worse the difficulty locating what they do offer at times. Maybe its just Bakersfield stores, or Eastside Bakersfield store. 3 ⭐s is benefit of the doubt really. Your welcome HD.

Unfortunately I Have To Say I Had A Terrible Experience Just Now With A Manager He Found It Upon Himself To Eruptly Yell Across The Store To Get My Attention As A Walked To An Aisle Were I Had Been Earlier In The Day With The Items I Had Purchased Still In The Bag Due To Getting The Wrong Dimensions And Was Going To Get The Correct Sizes Before Going To Exchange The Items Considering The Aisle Was On The Way To The Exchange Counter, He Then Proceeded To Follow Me To The Aisle And Stand Feet From Me While I Got The Correct Parts When I Asked “Are You Going To Watch Me Shop?” He Said Yes, As If Profiling Me I Asked Him To Please To Leave Me Alone And Let Shop He Refused To And Waited And Follwed Me To The Counter Were I Was Going To Exchange The Items And Then There Continue To Taunt Me In Front Of Employees And Customers This Is Something That Will Be Addressed To His District Manager Been A Customer For Many Years I Never Experienced Anything Like This And I Understand There Is Protocols That Loss Prevention Takes However There Is Also Boundaries And There Is Many That This Manager Took That Were Uncall For And He Should Be Disciplined The Level Of Disrespect And Talking Upon Calling On My Children That Were Not Even There And The Level Of Harassment Should Have Home Depot Considering What Kind Of Individuals Work And Represent Them As Their Employees.
