  I have a brain injury. The reason I share this is I tried to book appointment for Tuesday, Monday night on line, but couldn’t figure it out (not because it’s difficult, it’s just beyond my abilities). Tech is a big challenge for me.

  I went Tuesday as a walk-in. Dameon in short order got me in the chair and squared away my cluster**** of overgrown hair. I walked out of there super happy with the cut and Dameon set me up with a standing monthly appointment on his phone. Nice old school service and atmosphere, very reasonable professional cost.   A lot of Albany barbers aren’t great honestly. These guys though are better than most barbers that I’ve been to in the city. Daemon is an incredible barber I had him. Slightly more expensive than other places but you get the best of the best here and a really cool shop with a lot of history. Don’t go anywhere else for your fade, let these guys get you right!

  This is the best barbershop in Albany! I’ve used several of the barbers for myself and my two boys. Every cut is custom and perfectly done. They’re professional and fun! When I wait for my boys cut I have even had a beer. The only barbershop I’ll ever use in the capital region.

  Duke has been cutting my hair and my son’s hair for over 7 years now, and we never had a bad experience. Duke’s is an outstanding barber shop and has some truly talented barbers. Duke’s is a classic barbershop vibe…..the place is super clean and has a great atmosphere…..the hot towel shave is the best. Duke is great at his craft of barbering and is a true professional. The barbers are knowledgeable and up with the current trends in hairstyles. By far, Duke’s is the best barber shop in town.

  Been going to Duke’s for 7 years, never disappointed! I moved away from Albany but still make the 50 mile drive down to get my cut. The shop is very clean and has that traditional barbershop vibe. They also carry a few different brands of hair products and beard oils (including one they make themselves). My best friend and I both got our “wedding haircuts” here with our groomsmen, so that should say everything. 10 star rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️

  Don cuts my hair every two weeks, love the shop and the cut. Great atmosphere. Duke runs the shop like a professional, I would trust any of the barbers there to cut my hair. Very picky and have tried a lot of spots, by far the best.

  Just got my first cut from Rocco and couldn’t be happier; it looks amazing. Moving to a new place and finding a new barber is nerve wracking as you never know what you’re going to get, but based on the photos on Duke’s website I was pretty sure I was in for a great cut. Couldn’t be more satisfied!

  I get coffee next door. The owner is always super nice, let’s me use the bathroom after coffee lol. So I decided to give the barber shop a try. I’ve shaved my own head for the past 20 years, but I wanted to go skin-bald. The barber who I cut my hair didn’t say much. He used close cut buzzers all the way down, but no straight razor to my surprise. I assumed he’s the expert and said thanks and gave a $10 tip. I get home and start rubbing my newly bald head, and there are parts that are skin, and parts that are fuzzy. It’s quite patchy. I could tell the barber rushed through the job. He didn’t look closely. He didn’t make sure it was thorough. And again, didn’t say much of anything at all. 5 stars for the friendly owner. 1 star for the barber experience. Average them out – 3 stars.

  Love bricks barbershop. All the men in my family come here. Love Jay he has been cutting my sons hair for awhile. The music is upbeat and conversations that go on in there are either funny, inspirational or about sports. Nice welcoming place. Sometimes there is a lonnnggg wait….Usually weekends but it’s worth staying!

  What other have mentioned about this place is quite accurate.The barbers don’t acknowledge you even if you’re waiting for hours to get a cut. They’ll let people skip in front of you and take hours to finish a cut because they just talk too much.
