  Hector has the best fades in LA period! I’ve tried barbers in West LA, I’ve tried barbers in DTLA, and I ended up coming back to Hector. Be sure to book an appointment – the wait times can get a bit long.

  I first went to him because I lived in the neighborhood, but now I drive a out from downtown because he’s the best. His haircuts take time, but that’s because he’s an artist. He takes the time to ensure that every hair is the right length. He treats each person as a new canvas – this isn’t a job, it’s a passion and you can see it in the quality of his work.

  At the end of it, he treats you to a back massage. He’s been doing this since the beginning. He had a single chair in the corner of a greek shop on USC campus. Then he got another chair. And then another. And now he’s got a bus and he’s always fully booked.

  Jackie gave me the best haircut of my life. Right away she noticed everyone else had been doing it wrong and then people kept doing it that way. She fixed it and now I don’t use product because it just falls perfectly. I will book Jackie at Shorty’s every time now.

  I was on holiday in LA and received the worst haircut I have ever got in this barbershop.. it was cut by a girl with very short hair and tattoos, I asked for a mid fade with nothing off the top as I wanted to keep the length and cropped look, she went far to high with the clippers on either side, completely changing the shape of my head, my crown was also completely cut off with the clippers which is something that no barber should do.. I wasn’t charged for this haircut but was just very disappointed as I was on holiday and thought I would get a nice haircut in a barbers in LA, I’m sure not all the barbers are the same in this shop – this is just my unfortunate experience.

  I stumbled upon this location when searching for a new barbershop on Instagram. I went down the rabbit hole and found that most (or all) of the barbers have Social media to see their work!

  The location is very nice, clean and “hip”
  I recommend parking in the structure literally across from their shop.

  Booking my appointment was super easy and convenient on their online booking system. You can choose the service along with any barber (if you have a preference)

  I booked with Gio based on the cuts I saw on his Instagram. He did a fantastic job cleaning up my mop and I really appreciated that he asked questions along the way instead of some barbers who just ask what you want and then hack away. He made sure to deliver quality. I will 100% be going back to Gio from now on.

  Travelled over 2 hours to this location because I’d seen such good reviews. Had an appointment with Randy. Explained in complete detail what I wanted, showed him 4 pictures, and we decided on the game plan together. However, by the time he was done, I was nearly bald.

  He then gave me the advice, “you should grow your hair long and then we can work from there to get the look you wanted”. What the..? I came in with my hair long buddy. Now I have to wait about 3 months before I can get a haircut again. Seriously disappointed.

  Absolute ROCK STAR — that’s how I have to describe Eddie from Manly & Sons Barber Co. His relaxed demeanor immediately put me at ease, he played the best old school soul & early R&B and he is a consummate pro. I’ve had straight razor shaves all over the world, and Eddie in a superb hair & beard artist. The old Ukrainian barbers in Brooklyn would be mad to read this, but this young gent would rival any of them! I felt like a million dollars leaving. He even calmly dealt with a couple of employees (other stylists) who were having a conflict. They made me a little nervous since I was about to get a straight razor shave — hahah. It is L.A. and I didn’t now how the conflict would resolve. But Eddie quickly calmed them down, got them back to their duties & got right to the work to make me look less like a mountain gorilla when I walked in & more like a suave, sharply-shorn human! Hahah. Exceptional abilities & an accomplished Maestro!
