  1. Let’s be honest; we go to Walmart for the low prices, not the atmosphere. While the selection is great at this Walmart, the staff are not always friendly and, as with most Walmarts, can be hard to find when needed. Prices are good (standard for the genre) but don’t go to the garden area in the winter as it looks like a post-apocalyptic wasteland with no staffing or organization.

  3. This Walmart is well stocked and clean. I didn’t need anything but I did see staff around in case I did. I was able to find exactly what I needed and checkout fast, in probably only 5-10 minutes. Self checkout was easy and bags were well stocked. They added a new feature where you can text yourself a receipt, which was kind of shocking but shouldn’t surprise us in this day and age.

  4. Can find so many things here. Never had any issue getting help here. The self checkout scanners are quick. More space to place your bags at self checkout would be nice. Ordering ahead and picking up works great, the people working back there do a great job. Doing returns is simple, no hassle, and frustration free. Only thing I’d like to see improved is more cooperation with local businesses. One example is I don’t see any Pride of Dakota products here, but I do see them at Dan’s Supermarket.

  5. Never ordering delivery from this Walmart again. Drivers are unable to read the directions to enter the building, and have delivered to the wrong address on more then one occasion.
    In addition, never order anything with express. They hire a 3rd party driver, and if this driver in any form messes up. Consider your order lost without a refund.

    This is meat I bought from the south store. I threw the steaks away because my North Dakota fridge magnet stuck to them. It’s all a conspiracy theory huh? OK. Then make up your own mind if you still have one. After this I only bought meat from 3Be Meats, never had a problem again.

    If you love a fabulous selection of plants and earthly love you’ll love that department. The grocery pickup you can’t beat, even if you don’t have kids who really wants to walk around for hours. Very quick, most wait was 10 min. At busiest times.

    I don’t have a problem ever shopping in the main store, but the lady cashier that works fridays at the liquor store of this Walmart normally around 4:30-5:00 is nasty consistently for no reason. She makes everyone feel uncomfortable every time I am in to purchase my beer. She is rude and honestly seems like she wants everyone to leave. I understand having a bad day or shift, but it is EVERY time she is working. My boyfriend stopped in today 06/23/2023 around 4:40 and again, she was so incredibly rude toward him. She made him terribly uncomfortable assuming he smoked by saying “he looks like a smoker”. If she doesn’t enjoy people, she needs to find a different job or be moved to a different department. It’s such an issue I never want to purchase alcohol from this location again

    Have used the south Bismarck auto/tire repair shop a couple times now. Same day. Speedy. Professional. Very fair pricing. Other places in town were 3 days out for a tire repair. Thank you Walmart!!

    Over the top grocery store. They take grocery merchandising two new heights. I kept googling and ogling at the produce section that even had tropical fruits like dragon fruit papayas mangoes pineapples. Then there were the organics. The beverage sections were replete with about everything you could possibly imagine. I had staff approached me and ask if there’s any way they could help me and we engaged a long conversation about their store. Besides being friendly people they were very accommodating with outsiders like me is to where I could tour around Bismarck. This particular store really was impressive it’s like a target a Costco a Walmart and a high-end grocery store all wrapped up into one. Travelers moving through the area would do well to visit the store.

    So I shop here almost daily and my family really enjoys the purple cow hunt for kids but the other as I was checking out I was the only person checking out at the self check when a very unclean bearded employee came up behind me almost to the point of breathing in my ear and stayed there until the card reader said approved after my transaction was approved he said “ok good” and then walked to exit door. On my way out I passed him at the exit and I told him that when the transactions are finished they print receipts and he doesn’t need to hover behind my back to see that the card reader says approved and his response was ” yeah well you know how some people are” this level of inappropriateness makes shopping here unbearable and I hope something is done so me and my family can continue enjoying shopping at cashwise

    I wasn’t very impressed. Unhelpful staff who clearly didn’t feel that they should be there during inclement weather. I passed by the deli and asked the lady behind the counter where the butter is. She was chatting away with a customer and seemed inconvenienced by me. She was middle aged and had short, gray hair and a major attitude. Check-out was a nightmare. The young man who cashed me out didn’t want to be bothered with any of my questions, either. Then two staff members stood there and stared at me instead of helping me bag my groceries and exit. Very weird. This was my first visit and probably my last.

    I have honestly never had a bad experience at the 12th street store. When they ask me if I found everything I was looking for and if I answered with I could not find a certain item,the cashiers would walk with me to find it. Keep up the good people!

    Bought some breaded chicken some potato salad with macaroni salad and found a long hair in my macaroni salad after I had already eaten some, 🤮nasty. That’s money well spent and wasted and will never get back. Completely done and over with my food I just bought and won’t be buying from them again. 🤮 I was kinda turned off from their deli food along with their bakery after seeing flys flying around inside the donut case a few years back not once but twice. Completely have no health food safety standards. No wonder why people call it trash wise.
