What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Modest but homey uptown location. Too bad TJ’s quit carrying Chambord, but a plus I guess that they even have a full liquor & extensive wine selection (if you’re into that – I only got the Chambord, & only to top Ben & Jerry’s – which TJ’s doesn’t carry, not a prob). Hope they bring back the daily coffee sampling too, but I guess summer ’23 is still too COVID-adjacent.

Could do without the dumb code locks on the bathrooms (the TJ’s off Paseo del Norte doesn’t do this), AND the staff secondhand smoke on the east outside where you park. Other than that – staff always helpful. Stock up on seasonal items/specialities you like quick, they WILL sell out not-to-return before you’re ready.

  2. I just really love this store! The employees are always so nice and friendly and it’s just a really nice place to shop because of that. They also have cool plants for great prices! You can tell they treat the employees good because they always seem happy, and in turn that makes the customers happy. ❤️

  3. Hands down to the best trader joe in town. This is my favorite one and the staff is always friendly and courteous. Store is always kept tidy and clean. So much selection for great prices. Security is also in place to make you feel safe.

  4. Always a great trip at Trader Joe’s, as they always have great produce, veggies, and treats! This trip yielded Spaghetti Squash, Queen Anne Squash, Honey Crisp Apples, pot stickers, pasta sauces, cheeses, tea, cocoa, and a couple bottles of exclusive adult beverages. This store is always clean and provides excellent customer service. My cashier was Daniel, and he was very, very kind!

  5. Lots of interesting food and mostly happy people there. The building was cold due to open freezer bins. Wear a sweater or light jacket. Cash registers are close together, a little crowded. Parking lot needs to be bigger. We have to grocery shop at 3 different company stores.

We always have a good time shopping at Trader Joe’s. We love stopping to smell the flowers by the front doors, and might buy some for home. The produce is arranged in fresh, colorful rows, dazzling the eyes. We picked up some kale and peppers. We looked for some holiday cookies that we enjoyed at Thanksgiving, but they were already out of season. Dang! Should have stocked up!

We picked up other items for our dinner tonight (12/31/22), and also bought some wonderful cards at 99¢ each for upcoming birthdays and for a recent death amongst our friends. Gift cards were by the register, and we couldn’t resist getting a couple for family, to thank them for hosting us over the holidays. All of the employees were helpful and friendly!

Finally got back to Trader Joe’s after far too long! Filled 4 bags full up with all kinds of great stuff for under $200, from frozen prepared food to marinated meat to fresh veggies. Topped off with dark chocolate bars and a bouquet. Just wish there was a store closer to my home. I think Albuquerque could support at least two more!

Absolutely my favorite grocery store in the area. Clean, well organized, and well stocked. Plenty of tasty produce, cheeses, dips, wines and other adult beverages, plus the basic staples and cleaning supplies at competitive prices.

If you’re looking for the latest brand name thing that advertisements say you just must have, this in not the store for you; however if you’re seeking quality, private label items that offer budget friendliness, this is the place.

Specialty diet considerations are easy to shop for as gluten free, dairy free, and organics are well marked on the private label goodness you’ll find at TJs.

The friendly staff rounds out the shopping experience.

Trader Joe’s is one of the coolest places to shop. They have great items and a fairly reasonable price.

I love all of their Tea selection, they have really great prices on vitamins and supplements AND their fresh produce and flower selection is top-notch.

The Staff is very easy-going and friendly.

The only beef I ever have with this location is that it is insanely busy in the parking lot and inside of the store. I don’t know if it’s the part of town this TJ’s is located, but sometimes the clientele can be a bit not-as-polite (shall we say). This isn’t the store’s fault, but perhaps some rearranging of the store or displays to make the traffic flow easier would be an improvement.

UPDATE: Holy smokes this parking lot is way too busy. I wish it had wider lanes and an easier inlet/outlet to the main roads.

    Great products and produce.

In June 2023, we got the sfogliatella pastry (frozen, bake at home), and they were excellent and tasted like the ones I had in Napoli, Italy. Unfortunately they were for a limited time, so hoping they will have them again in the future. In late September 2023, we tried the new double chocolate croissants (also frozen, bake at home). If you love chocolate and pastry, don’t miss those as they are also for a limited time!

Finally!! A place in Albuquerque that sells turkey pieces that is not smoked. Also, I can buy frog legs and a plethora of other meats.

This was my second purchase of Keller’s grass fed beef. It’s super tasty, well packaged, and cut and packaged to my request. We eat a very low carb diet, and keeping a supply of beef around is convenient. Great customer service, I placed my order via email.

I am truly fortunate to have Keller’s right around the corner from where I work. I love their premium selection of, well everything. My favorite is their deli..chili olives, triple cream Brie that will make you weep and meat 🥩 that is choice cut from the gods. Steak so good that I dare not digress. The staff is ALWAYS super helpful and friendly too. They’re small but really one of the best grocers I’ve ever experienced.

The filet we bought today was tough and one of the worst my husband and I have ever had. The New York strip in the other hand was tender and lovely. The staff they have are really nice people and they are lucky to have them! Great assortment of sausages and sauces.

Watched the butcher walk out, never change gloves or wash his hands, and grabbed pork chops. Then proceeded to grab steaks with the same gloves. As we were walking away, saw him grab chicken for another customer with the same gloves!!!!!! After bringing it up to the manager, was told that he would exchange the meat, and I overheard him tell that butcher, don’t worry about it he’ll be happy with this. If he’s comfortable doing that in front of customers, I can only imagine what he’s doing behind the scene. Threw away the meat afterward. Did not feel comfortable proceeding to eat it. Spoke to the owner Mike and he took my concerns with a grain of salt. Refused to listen, and took everything personal and hung up on me. No wonder why the butchers do whatever they want back there.
