2 months agoWe love shopping at aldi. There’s something different about this store whether is the food or the layout of how they set it up, we often end up buying more than what we need !6 months agoOur first time in this location – Navajo St., El cajon CA, and it was a great discovery. By the hodge podge of items on the shelves – trying to make sense of where it’s categorized, grouped together or simply a flow of choices, possibly sorted by breakfast dry items, baking, dressings, etc. I found myself going in circles in the isles. I’ll get my bearings as I come here next time & get to know their system. Some items indeed are cheaper than the big W. Found some good dark chocolate selections at very good prices (under $3 & delicious, authentic, rich dark chocolate.) Check out the meat section and you’ll be amazed at the very competitive prices. We went in to look for chocolates, and rang out at $120 worth of groceries & finds. A great concept of affordability! A new location closer to our home is about to open – Fletcher Pky Mall/ Magnolia, El Cajon area. As long as I’m not racially profiled again, perfect store7 months agoWhat an adventure!Aldi has great store brand products at excellent prices, like a pint of chocolate peanut butter ice cream is $1.99. It’s just as good as the name brand product. And who can turn down ribbons of peanut butter and velvety chocolate ice cream?! Or, a smallish bag of jalapeños is only 59 cents!
That said, there were other things I felt were too expensive, but they were primarily recognized name brand products. I can find these somewhere else.
The only “issue” I had was that there wasn’t a specific section for clearance items. These were scattered among the regular-price items. I’m one of those crazy ladies who enjoys the hunt through those sections to see if I can find a gem of a steal. Nonetheless, the clearance items I did see were crazy good!
The parking lot is huge, as they are the biggest store in the strip. Four disabled parking spots are available in front of the store.

11 months agoThe condition of the store and entry way is surprising for how hard everyone at this location works. I imagine keeping the shelves stock and ringing customers up are the major priorities, but keeping the store clean should also be a top priority. Hopefully this is a temporary issue because otherwise I love the variety and great prices.

in the last weekA good location I stop by after work and need to pick something up for dinner. Self check out available here. I chuckled at the fact that as soon as you enter it’s the cookies and wine items. You have to walk all the way to the end for the veggies and produce. Wife and I enjoy shopping at this aldi and the one on navajo roada month agoI love going to this store. Here you are paying for the item and not some name brand. If you have to have banner brand items then this store is not for you. They have great prices on fresh produce, meat and organic items.a month agoAldi is a great place to get common things at cheaper prices. It’s also a great place to find fun and unique items that don’t stay in stock very long. I’m not happy about the addition of self check and taking away the registers with a cashier.a year agoWe have been grocery shoppinh at Aldi for almost 3 years now. My wife really likes it, the place is well maintained, and there is always good stuff available. Every now and then we do curbside pick like this time and we love it honestly. It is very convenient since my wife is pregnant at this time. The customer service is great and the cashiers work really fast. Overall, a solid place for grocery shopping.

I like this store a lot and I am highly satisfied with my experience. I spent about $23 but and came out with two full bags. I remember feeling a sense of well being as I was leaving. There was a comfortable employee presence and I noticed the cleanliness of the place and the variety was abundant. There was nearly everything you would get at any other store but in a store brand version but not poor generic quality everything was really cheap but I can say that if it was not just as good as the mainstream brands it was even better in my opinion. I came across this place unintentionally. I was coming back from the Chula Vista junkyard and I was thirsty so I stopped at the first market I seen and I am impressed. Definitely recommend and definitely plan on revisiting in the near future. I will update after my next visit if anything should change.
Fast small lines. Fantastic prices and great products. Only thing is if you want to pay cash you get a demerit and can not use the self checkouts so you have to stand in line
Prices are good. I feel like i spend about $30 per bag of groceries. Compare to nearly $100 a bag worth of groceries most places. Just wish they had a little more variety. I still find a lot of good stuff though.
Everything inside the store is great. But there is always a homeless guy outside with his dog by the shopping carts smoking. I have two babies so that is very inconvenient. Every time we are there we have to go around the guy so my babies dont smell all the smoke.
I was able to purchase what I came for. As always, the store is crowded. I am thankful for the self checkouts but I suggest keeping cleaning supplies handy so I can sanitize the checkout station I use, in particular where I am required to place my scanned items.
