4 weeks agoBuyers beware: DO NOT USE ONLINE PICKUP!! I’m only giving 1 star because there’s not an option to review with zero stars. Just experienced some of the worst customer service ever with the online pickup service at Kroger Short Pump (11895 W Broad St, Richmond, VA 23233). Their Pickup department is so poorly staffed and/or incompetent that it took 2 trips to the store to receive my order and that only happened after their customer service tracked down the manager (Craig) to finally hand over my order. I truly don’t understand why a manager couldn’t have done that the first time I showed up, but I could have overlooked that had Craig not been the least empathetic person I’ve ever met. He actually told me the whole issue was my fault because I showed up “right before closing”, when in fact I arrived at 8:35pm, for an order with a pickup window of 8-9pm. This is one of the lousiest “convenience” services I’ve ever experienced and I certainly won’t be using it again and if you don’t want to lose more customers I’d suggest you figure out how to staff your stores properly, get yourselves organized, and hire people who at least act like they care about your customers.2 years agoThis Kroger at 11895 W. Broad Street has a lot to offer. The store is huge and likely offers almost every type of food and beverage most of us would ever eat. Today there was even a wine or beer tasting happening in the wine department! It looked like a little bar within a grocery store. Thankfully, I found all the health food items I needed in other departments. Two different staff people were very helpful during my visit here. 3 months agoI wish there would have been a sign that you must purchase your bags. I looked and did not see a single one. I walked out. Not very communicative when you only tell people about it when they check out. I left an entire cart of groceries and went to Publix. I do not pay for plastic bags at Cary Street nor Willow Lawn Krogers. I do not mind paying, but be honest and tell people about it. Not a very transparent and honest way to conduct business.

2 months agoWas grabbing some soda for my dad and was also starving after loading two motorcycles into a buddy’s truck and not eating all day. My friend advised me that the food counter would be a good idea on the way. Got two little $7 meals from Bob, who was the friendliest and most helpful Kroger employee I think I’ve ever met. I am leaving this review entirely because Bob was awesome. Thank you Bob!in the last weekUnfortunately, the Kroger pick up here has been terrible. This time they were “out of stock” of coffee, onions, and milk, with no substitutions. It’s funny though, because when we walked in the store we were able to purchase the exact ones we had on our order. I have children and Kroger pick up use to be a lifesaver. Now, I think I’ll have to try a different store.2 months agoI am appalled at my experience around 8:20 this evening. I waited 40 minutes in line at the deli. After 5+ people gave up and walked away, I went to get the manager. The manager was unwilling or unable to assist. There were multiple associates nearby just standing around as well.I am a loyal Kroger customer, and I have never experienced such poor customer service at one of your stores. The associate should have called for assistance long before the line became so long, and the manager should have stepped in to help out.
2 weeks agoKroger Staplesmill has the worst parking lot. The wait in line today was a bit much . The store is big . The staff today was efficient and nice in self check out . I think her name started with a Z. Thanks Miss Za month agoThis location is fading fast. It has a foul odor that greets you as you enter. Most days more self checkout than real cashiers The best thing to do is bring your own shopping cart as you come in.

Not sure what’s going on but the store isn’t very poor condition as of late. Might be a staffing issue. I know prices have gone up everywhere, but this Kroger was extremely expensive. Staff was pretty disengaged with customers. And it didn’t seem like they were set up for business on a Sunday morning. They were only a couple of apartments that looked relatively decent produce and the floral department. All other departments Bakery, a d Deli in particularly. The interior the store grocery Dairy, frozen food, all half empty shelves, and look like they were in need of a good stocking.
Nice prices that fits the budget. Found 99% of the stuff that was looking for.
I love this location!! Neat, clean, well stocked. All the staff are always so eager to help. I want to give a BIG shout to Sean in the Meat and Fish Department. I had a special request and although he could have insisted I pick from items on display, he took the time to dig through the freezer and cut me a custom size piece of fish. You can tell he loves his job. Always smiling, happy to help. Thanks Sean, the fish was delicious!!! Recommend this location to everyone.
Most organized Kroger, after they all changed the aisles it became impossible to find anything but this store is different. Just put all kinds of sauce, condiments, dressings and stuff in the same aisle. It’s not that difficult!
Line on a weeknight for self checkout 30 people deep. Blocking the aisles. Had 2 items. When I went to customer service to complain about no cashiers, was told by management. “No one wants a job. Do you want to apply?” Um..no. I just wont come here again. Second time for this. No more.
