Nina Parker is the best2 months agoGreat sales! Huge selection! The toys r us section has stuff I haven’t seen anywhere else. The backstage section is very affordable but name brand items with decent quality. The finish line in Macy’s has better stuff then the regular finish line store. The perfume selection is great for women and men. The jewelry is nice too! The mattress on the top floor are GREAT!a year agoWorst Macys that I’ve EVER been too. So disgusting and dirty. Hard to even shop around. Clothes are just thrown everywhere. I would be embarrassed to work here. Management should be fired.a week agoI came here looking for a cocktail dress. Wide selection of dresses and price ranges. Found the perfect dress. The line was terrible. I was third in line and waited about 45 minutes. Cashiers were extremely slow. It was irritating.

a month agoNot really sure how this place stays in business. Such a large building with tons of overhead costs. Things are not exactly cheap either. Only part going for them is the nice arch and history.8 months agoThe Macy’s in Orland was a total disappointment. Filthy dirty mess. Disgusting! Every stall, the floors in the store, the clothes on the floor. Kids running and stepping all over them. My mom can’t see well and I wouldn’t let her use the restroom. Have to say, our cashier was a delight! NOT a high end department store but paid alot. I would have left if it wasn’t for my mom. Will not go back. Miss Marshall Fields!4 months agoCheryl at the shoe department is so a sweet and patient with her customers. Me being a plus size women, the aren’t many options out there for wide feet. She made sure I was tried on the shoes and walk in them to make sure I had the right purchase. She took her time and made me feel respected and not judged. Will definitely go back and look for her whenever I am ready for new shoes. Thank you so much Cheryl you are a great person to work for Macy’s.a month agoIt is junky to me….washroom could use some updating.4 weeks agoI left my shopping bag at Macys yesterday. Didn’t realize it until later that evening. HUGE shoutout to Karen and Denise! Not only did they find my bag, they made several phone calls contacting me that they had it. THANK YOU SO MUCH, Ladies!

The retail aesthetics we’re beautiful, however there a were few empty display windows on both Wabash and State Street side…to my dismay. Macys is beautiful but it does not compare to the grandeur that was once Marshall Field’s & Co., my old employer back in the 80s.
On a positive note, I was very pleased to see that the old Walnut Room has reopened for specialty brunches, special events and wedding packages 💐
Update: Today I signed up for a Macy’s credit card and spent 6 hours here, on only 2 floors. This store has everything imaginable. Third floor women’s is full of the most beautiful dresses I’ve ever seen. And many great sales for Father’s Day weekend coming up.
Amazing store!! An entire city block. You will need many many trips here to fully enjoy what Macy’s has to offer. Today it was pre- black Friday specials/prices. I found several items, and with a Macy’s charge an extra 20 percent off. Unfortunately I don’t have a Macy’s credit card, but it was still a good deal!
I had a wardrobe malfunction whereas I needed a dress asap. The staff in Macy’s was amazing. They pointed me in the right direction and checked me out very quickly. Did I mention the dress was on sale?! $50!
almost an entire block of retail with gothic/ornate columns and tile ceilings, where you can find something for everyone. there is a restaurant up on the top floor and during winter holidays have pretty decorations up.
lower level has their ‘rack equivalent backstage goods’, food court, bookstore, and most importantly is connected to the pedway which is great during the storms/bad weather.
visitors should check this place out and try not to get lost!
Overall a unique visit for experiencing such a large department store. I kinda got whiplash going from floor to floor though. Some are clean and lavish while others look quite dated!
