The Amica Mutual Pavilion (originally Providence Civic Center and formerly Dunkin' Donuts Center ("The Dunk")) is an indoor arena located in downtown Providence, Rhode Island. It was built in 1972, as a home court for the Providence College Friars men's basketball program, due to the high demand for tickets to their games in Alumni Hall, as well as for a home arena for the then–Providence Reds, who played in the nearly 50-year-old Rhode Island Auditorium. Current tenants include the Providence Bruins ice hockey team, of the American Hockey League (AHL) and the Providence College Friars men's basketball team, of the Big East Conference. The center is operated by the Rhode Island Convention Center Authority, which also operates the Rhode Island Convention Center and Veterans Memorial Auditorium.

What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. The doughnuts are always delicious. And this was my first time having the avocado toast. It was delicious! I’ll be back just for that! But I gave them three stars because they got the drink orders wrong. And we had to go back in to get them fixed and it took just as long as the first time to get them fixed. So it’s like waiting twice for your one order. We ate almost all our food before we had our drinks. (Sorry ate all the doughnuts before we got to the other food and photos!)

  2. I grew up in New England, land of DD. And I can honestly say this might be the best I’ve been to. The woman who runs this place is amazing and efficient. Our orders were right every time, (if you frequent DD, you understand that the risk of a wrong order is part of the charm), and everything was great.

  3. I order coffee from this location, almost everyday. The stuff is really amazing and they are so helpful and kind, however, Whenever I order online/mobile and I come to pick it up within 4to 6 minutes. I find my drink warm, not hot. I always ask to do extra hot.

  4. I’m all for staff enjoying their work with friendly banter, laughter, and all but not to where it interferes with the actual job. Waited over 15 minutes for a lemon loaf after an initial 10 minutes for a cold brew. I had asked multiple times and they were beyond lost. Until the final time that I was upset asking one final time it magically appeared within seconds. There needs to be some type of management present to keep them running.
