  2. This place is horrible and they don’t need the business because they turn it down left and right with pathetic excuses. I work in the Louisiana film industry and have been born and raised here my entire life, so we try to give our business to locally owned (mom and pop) type businesses as to help our local economy but unfortunately I will not endorse spending any money at Eddie’s hardware on downman rd as they don’t treat the customer the way a customer should be treated. So it looks like I’m on the hunt for another locally owned and operated business but worst case scenario I will go to a big box store if it comes to it unfortunately.

  4. This is exactly the store you need for any project you want done right. They pride themselves on service, know how and a vast array of everything you need. The big box stores only wish they were Eddies Ace Hardware! This is the place!

  5. Best place to get car keys programmed. Brought my own key and paid $50.00 to have it programmed. Very friendly service.

    I arrived at Mary’s Ace just before 5 pm last Sunday forgetting closing time isn’t 6. I expected to be turned away at the door but instead the cashier kindly asked me if she could help me get what I needed. Not only was I able to grab those few items, she also helped me pick out a space heater that made all the difference keeping my place warm. That Vornado is my new best winter friend and the cashier’s kind helpfulness went a long way. Just want to thank you so very much for taking a few minutes and the patience to allow those last minute purchases.

    I used to love this place. Did lots of business there. After having keys made getting home and finding out there was one instead of three and then driving all the way back to the store the Woman at the counter refused to admit that she only gave us one and not all three keys, said if I wanted the other keys that were missing I had to pay for them all over again. they have lost my business and my partner’s business because of her attitude.

    Small but very well stocked. They don’t take cash, but this is also 2022, not 1907. Never have an issue finding a knowledge employee to show me where something is. I dig this place and come here often both for work and person matters.

    They won’t take cash. Hard to overstate how obnoxious that is for a place that provides essential home services for regular people. Other businesses better deserve your money.
