My experience exploring my options for immigration with My Visa Source was wonderful. I contacted them and got to speak with a real human who scheduled me for a free consultation call. Bara, the paralegal assigned to me, was helpful, communicative, generous with his time, and flexible with follow-up opportunities over the next several weeks. If I decide to go forward with the process, I will not look further for counsel and help.

I discovered My Visa Source (MVS) through Google a little over two years ago. I was facing a highly intricate case and felt uncertain if anyone could assist me. Taking a leap of faith with MVS turned out to be a game-changer, and I am immensely grateful. Roshan, my initial contact, was both knowledgeable and forthright from the outset. She wisely advised against proceeding until she had brainstormed and found an alternative solution. Although my case transitioned from Trevor and Emily to Trevor and Adam, their team seamlessly handled the handover. Nearly two years later, I received my PR and now call Canada home. While their email response time could be improved, Adam personally and promptly addressed urgent matters over the phone. Trevor, my main point of contact, exhibited unwavering professionalism and dedication throughout. He patiently addressed my inquiries and offered thoughtful guidance when needed. Even after securing my PR, they continued to support me, ensuring I maintain my status for future citizenship applications. Their commitment to consulting with experts and meticulously reviewing immigration laws provided invaluable peace of mind, especially given the complexity of my case. If given the choice, I would unquestionably choose MVS again, solely due to the invaluable contributions of two individuals to whom I am eternally grateful: Trevor Dennett-Thorpe and Adam Abouelwafa.

I was lured into using this firm by high google reviews and I hope whoever is reading this will not make the same mistake.

Long story short, I was promised by their salesman that over 4000$ that I paid would include full service throughout my pr application process, including help with additional documents, such as temporary work permits. However, when my WP expired, they demanded additional 1500$ for legal assistance!!!! I did it myself and got my wp extension with no problem, but I can’t say the same thing about my pr. Not only the response time from the person who handled my file never took less than a week, but my application was rejected in the end!

When I went to Ian Goldman, I had already consulted an immigration lawyer who wasn’t very involved. I came to Ian seeking a hopeful second opinion, but felt like I most likely had no path forward to immigrate in BC.

After speaking with Ian, he illuminated me to the many ways in which I can increase my immigration score, and took the time to walk through exactly how I can achieve permanent residency here. I now have a very good chance of gaining PR status.

According to the 2021 Canadian census, immigrants in Canada number 8.3 million persons and make up approximately 23 percent of Canada's total population. This represents the eighth-largest immigrant population in the world, while the proportion represents one of the highest ratios for industrialized Western countries.Following Canada's confederation in 1867, immigration played an integral role in helping develop vast tracts of land. During this era, the Canadian Government would sponsor information campaigns and recruiters to encourage settlement in rural areas; however, this would primarily be only towards those of European and religious Christian backgrounds, while others—particularly Hindus, Buddhist, Shinto, Sikh, Muslim, and Jewish immigrants—as well as the poor, ill, and disabled, would be less than welcome. Following 1947, in the post-World War II period, Canadian domestic immigration law and policy went through significant changes, most notably with the Immigration Act, 1976, and the current Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) from 2002.The main drivers of population growth are immigration, driven mainly by economic policy and also family reunification. A record number of 405,000 immigrants were admitted to Canada in 2021, with plans to increase the annual intake of immigrants to 500,000 per year. New immigrants settle mostly in major urban areas in the country, such as Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. Canada also accepts large numbers of refugees, accounting for over 10 percent of annual global refugee resettlements; it resettled more than 28,000 in 2018 and has spent $769 million in 2023 alone for free housing and meals.
