I honestly can’t believe my experience the other week and I wasn’t going to say anything, but I decided to put it out here to save someone else from having to deal with this backwards place. I am not one to normally post reviews. I paid $40 for a haircut with the tip and passed on that option for the massage and hot towel the first time I came in here. Just not my style.
Now as a returning customer, I learned that if you don’t check in online before coming to Sports Clips, don’t even bother showing up. Sport Clips policy on allowing check-ins online is ridiculous. I walked in the other week on a Friday to get my haircut and this lady asked if I checked in online. I did not check in online because I don’t like that option and didn’t realize that this was some sort of requirement now to get a haircut. I don’t want to have to pull Sport Clips up on my phone and check in and I definitely don’t want your app on my phone. If online check-in is a requirement to use Sport Clips, then it should be in bold writing on Google and it should be posted on the store fronts. I told the lady that I didn’t check in online as I was pulling up my information on the computer. She told me that there was like a 2 hour wait for a haircut. I looked at her puzzled, because there was only 1 person inside the store waiting to get their haircut. There was like 3 or 4 stylists there cutting hair. How in the world is there a 2 hour wait for a haircut when there is only 1 person in the store waiting? I didn’t even bother putting my information the rest of the way in. I just cancelled out of it and walked out of the store.
I am completely confused by this policy in place at Sport Clips. You have waiting customers at your store ready to spend their cash and you treat them like second class citizens. You literally are allowing people that are not even there at your store to hold a place in line over customers that are physically there waiting and ready to receive a cut right now. I mean, I just can’t believe how backwards this policy is to providing quality customer service.
Since, I don’t agree with your garbage online check in policy, I will no longer get my hair cut here and no one from my family will either. I can get treated poorly for free, I don’t have to pay for it.
You don’t value my time and I don’t value your ridiculous company policy of allowing potential customers to get preferential treatment over customers that are actually at your location waiting and ready to pay for services. What a crazy world. You just can’t make this stuff up. I am leaving 5 stars because it is not the fault of the stylists or the owner that work in this location. The company policy is a joke and the stylists and franchise owner shouldn’t suffer for Sport Clips policy. It should be 1 star.

Haven’t been there in over 10 years. Was pleasantly surprised with the service and stylist (Steph). She’s very good at her job and made me feel relaxed and provided a quick, efficient and good looking haircut. Highly recommended!

One of the best haircuts I’ve received. I’m very picky about my hair. Steph was awesome and set me up with a great fade, hard part, and style. I would recommend her to anyone in the Johnson City area.

I came requesting a certain barber and sat there for well over an hour waiting just to be cut in front of by a dude that had missed his appointment earlier that day. My opinion is he missed his appointment so I should have been taking care of and have made the way cuz he had his chance but instead I was basically ignored so I got up and left. These stylists need to do their job instead of it being a social visit. You can do that off the clock in the meantime take care of your clients and people that’s requested you. Other than that the service is good whenever it comes to the haircut

Ok experience, when I had my son in the chair the women cutting his hair was telling another hairstylist that she wanted to leave and be done for the day. They had another hour until closing and made me feel uncomfortable and frankly like I shouldn’t have come in. Hair cut was ok, nothing special, just a trim for my 2 year old, but It could have been nicer if he were given the attention and made us feel wanted.

I’ve been going to Great Clips for about 2 years and when the pandemic hit the lady that was cutting my hair the way I wanted it she left. And since then I have not been able to find anybody at Great Clips to cut my hair the way I want it. For this reason I am thinking about going to another place to get my haircut

Great clips is a hair salon in the sense that they remove hair in some ordered fashion. That’s about it. Is it gonna be straight? Kinda. Is it gonna be even? Maaaybe. Will they remove your hair. Yes. Yes they will. The key is to manage expectations. For instance if you get a buzz with a finger length on top just know the sides won’t be blended well. If you get just a buzz then know that you’re probably gonna have to touch it up at home. It’s how this works. I know, I’ve been through it plenty. The best part is you pay nearly 20$ for it and they expect a tip. What? A tip? I’m priced out of great clips. I’ll give someone 30 to do a good job. Great clips used to know its place, it was cheap. That was the point. Sure your hair cut isn’t gonna be great but it’s 7 bucks. Now I don’t know what they’re doing. 17 bucks should atleast get me even sideburns.

I was happy with my haircut, and had no wait time. Plus I had a coupon which made it a great deal

I usually get my haircut in Crossville but since I work in Lenoir city and this location was open late I gave them a try.

Ask for Marsha. She did an amazing job and is very passionate about her job. I’ll be going to this great clips from now on.

Just moved into town from Florida and was seeking a barber ASAP as my hair was getting too long for my liking. Looked the shop up and saw nothing but good reviews. I had set up an Appointment with Dillon to get my hair cut and it was nothing but an amazing experience. The atmosphere is that of an old-school barber shop and is truly a welcoming environment. Dillon and staff are fantastic and friendly. Will certainly be going back, as this is the place to go. This is no Great Clips where you are rushed out of the chair, so be prepared to feel at home and enjoy yourself.

Always an inviting atmosphere and great conversation. I always get the hairstyle/cut I am looking for when I change my mind from one visit to the next. I also always take my 10yo godson with me and Dillon always treats him nice even if he is squirming! Great place, great friends, great atmosphere!

I started going to Bourban and Blades when I first moved from Florida a little over a year ago and I will not and have not gone anywhere else. Dillon and the team are very welcoming and passionate when it comes to the work they do. Anytime someone asked me where I would go for a haircut I tell them Bourban and blades. Never once have I left disappointed in the cut I received. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment and you too will not be disappointed.

We love BBB. Vince is the absolute the best at his craft. He takes the time to listen to his clients and the services he performs are Top Shelf !!! This business is a gem in a small town the size of Cleveland. Definetly large city talent and experience.

I was in town for a few weeks visiting family and desperately needed a haircut, but I’m the pickiest pain in the backside on the planet so I didn’t want to find a new place. I gave this place a go and now I’m looking for a reason to back. Nicole was OUT OF THIS WORLD. She was great company and gave an incredible cut. I got the $50 “signature” cut and I would’ve gladly doubled the price for the service I got. If it was justifiable to go back tomorrow, I would.
