6 months agoThe Costco here in Bakersfield, CA is overall amazing. The gas station is always full and it’s always at least a 20 minute wait. Plenty of parking. It gets very crowded, but the staff do very well in managing the chaos. Despite being crowded, the lines in the store usually go by very quickly. The bathrooms are usually very clean. The snack bar is usually a little understaffed and takes a while, but the pricing is very fair and the quality of the snacks is great. Costco was also one of the few companies that did not raise prices on toilet paper and eggs when they were going through shortages. Overall great place to get groceries and to eat.2 weeks agoI am a long-time member of Costco and I have always been impressed with the service at the Bakersfield, CA Rosedale location. Their staff is incredibly friendly and helpful; they make my shopping experience a good one!One of the things that I appreciate most about Costco is the wide variety of products that they offer. I can find everything I need for my household at Costco, from groceries to electronics to home goods and car tire and battery service. I also appreciate the fact that Costco offers great deals and management discounts on their products. I can always count on finding good deals on the things I need at Costco.
In addition to the wide variety of products and great deals, I also appreciate the services that Costco Bakersfield CA Rosedale offers. They have a great pharmacy, a tire center, and a food court. I also appreciate the fact that Costco offers free samples of their products. This is a great way to try new things and to save money on groceries. Overall, I am very impressed with Costco Bakersfield CA Rosedale. Products are great, and the prices are unbeatable. I would highly recommend Costco Bakersfield CA Rosedale to anyone looking for a great shopping experience. Great and welcoming place to shop!
a week agoThey were ready to arrest me at self-checkout when my hands were full, so I couldn’t show them my costco card. Very surreal. The ladies would be great police women.a year agoThis a busy store. The line to pump gasoline is, most of the time, a 30-minute wait. The store doesn’t have articles that can be found in different locations. The snack bar needs a lot of cleaning. Restrooms are getting a bit cleaner than before. I love Costco, but I hope they can improve my visit experience and all customers. The staff are not as friendly. I missed the guy singing at the exit door, and smiling all the time for many years. I feel compelled to bring this matter to your attention and request a follow-up, as the experience left me feeling embarrassed and mistreated.Upon leaving the store, I encountered a staff member named Jessica, who was stationed at the exit door and responsible for checking receipts and baskets. Initially, I understood and appreciated her role in ensuring the accuracy of purchases. However, the manner in which she handled a situation involving my daughter and me was both unprofessional and unsettling.
My daughter inadvertently failed to scan one item at the self-checkout, although she believed she had done so with Jessica’s assistance. Understanding our mistake, Jessica informed us that the item in question hadn’t been paid for and suggested we proceed to the side to rectify the situation. I complied without issue, as I understood the necessity of resolving any unintentional oversight.
However, while waiting on the side to pay for the item, I couldn’t help but notice that Jessica seemed to exhibit inconsistencies in her approach with other customers. It appeared as though she either overlooked certain individuals’ baskets or allowed them to pass through despite discrepancies in their purchases. This led me to believe that she may have been singling out my daughter and me based on our race or for some other unidentified reason.
To compound my disappointment, Jessica displayed an unfortunate attitude when I apologized for the oversight and explained that I believed my daughter had scanned all the items. Instead of listening to my explanation, she rudely interrupted me and abruptly grabbed my basket, stating that she would pull it to the side while instructing me to proceed to the designated payment area. Her actions not only embarrassed me but also made me feel as though I were being accused of intentionally stealing an item, which was far from the truth.
It is disheartening to encounter such behavior from a staff member, especially considering the reputation that Costco has cultivated for exceptional customer service. I firmly believe that Jessica requires retraining on how to interact respectfully and professionally with customers. Consistency in treatment is crucial, and no customer should feel targeted or singled out during their shopping experience.
In light of this incident, I intend to share my experience with others on platforms such as Yelp and communicate my concerns to the headquarters of Costco. I hope that my feedback can contribute to the improvement of customer service standards and prevent similar situations from occurring in the future.
I kindly request a follow-up on this matter. I believe it is essential for Costco to investigate this incident thoroughly and take appropriate action to address the conduct of its employees. I remain hopeful that my faith in Costco’s commitment to customer satisfaction will be restored through a prompt and sincere response

3 months agoOne of the Costco with huge parking lot yet there aren’t many available most of the time. Great selections.5 months agoThis is a mega sized supermarket. Impressive and pricing is very competitive at the unit cost level because of bulk purchases either in number of units or supersized quantity per unit.Customers will need to be a member to access Costco or alternatively possess a Costco gift card which can only be bought by an existing Costco member.

2 months agoGoing have to change this review for now as I’m pretty upset.Ordered an ice cream and no one told me they were out. I waited 30 minutes in this food court line, which has 2 lines that went pass the dining tables and almost into membership. One worker was working in slow motion. Maybe he was new.
Then when I get to the front, they out of ice cream? Come on. Can I get my money back? Sure… Go to returns. Returns line was long AF.
Costco… You win 1.99!

Unfortunately, its expired is Aug 22, 2023 and this product had mold 🙏😢 please see attached pictures 2/ moon cakes are good price 👍 (please see attached pictures )

TERRIFIED — MANAGER INSULTING/HUMILIATING MEMBERS
Today’s 02/17. The price of the 7-set dining table that I purchased on 1/02 goes down by $400. I noticed that it’s been over 10+ days to be qualify for the 30-day price adjustment. Abiding by the Costco policy, the only way left for me is to buy another set now and then return the old one, to get the discount. But this for sure takes a lot labor both for me and for the staffs working there–these are extremely heavy boxes.
So I went to the counter and told them the situation. A manager called Justin came and told me he could do nothing, which I totally understand. But he repeated at least twice, calling me DISHONEST. This is non-tolerable at all. I told everything in my situation with the sincere hope not to bother/avoid our staff’s labor. But ended up being called dishonest?! Later on, when a staff was about to help me loading those heavy box, I again told him the entire situation and apologized for the inconvenient caused by this. Justin again jumped in and said, “we are doing this because of YOUR $400”.
I was terrified. How come a manager insulted me by all these means. First of all, $400+ is not a small amount! Secondly, I was obeying the rules from YOUR warehouse and even saying sorry to the ones who actually help! If there’s ANYTHING to be blamed on, it should be the system/rules instead of your valued member. I was FURIOUS! As an honest long-term member, a proper apology is indeed needed.
It even concerns me more if such a bad experience/conflict has ever happened to other members before or to be happened in the future. Let alone the horrible attitude from the staff which I never thought should have appeared in Costco. After all, if your staff regard it as something deserved to be called “dishonest”, solve it by the policy level, instead of attacking the members of going through the regular process. We don’t deserve this by acting exactly under the policy!
Visited for the first time in over a decade. Parking lot was packed, but some spaces could be found a distance away from the building. Great selection of necessities and fresh baked goods. Carts are huge and it takes a bit of careful navigating not to bump others… Self checkout is quick and easy.
Great costco warehouse with an excellent selection of items at reasonable prices. The good thing about the Sunnyvale Costco is that they have a lot of Indian favorites- Eg Haldirams indian sweets before Diwali, Maggi, Ghee, Various types of dals, kulfi etc
They have a limited selection of feminine hygiene products- they only seem to have one type of item at a time (eg pads or tampons) and usually only one brand at a time.
Crowds are quite long during the weekend, which becomes a huge damper to the shopping experience.
They have a gas station optical center and an auto repair center as well.
One of the smaller compact Costco’s in the area, so less walking involved. Lot of south Asian items sold in this costco. Getting small and medium sized clothes is tough. The gas station gets a little crowded, but not too bad after the renovations. Love the 2 self-service tire pressure air stations.
Wonderful place to shop. Super friendly employees. Lines move fast. Better pricing when shopping in the store instead of buying on line. Some items are in store only like 4 LED light bulbs for $10 and the dog food is about $20 less for the chicken adult kibble than delivered. Diamonds are way less than local jewelry stores and the tennis bracelets are exquisite. Lactaid is about 25% less in store. Plenty of parking and New car parking available . Highly recommended.
