Ordered a party platter from the deli to be ready by 5pm on 4/20. It was ready on time and exceeded our expectations. The croissant sandwiches are scrumptious on their own, but the horseradish aioli and the pesto sauce add a delicious depth of flavor! We also grabbed some fresh fruit from the produce section, fresh baked cookies from the bakery, and a variety of chips to complete our one-stop-party-shopping. Easy peasy. We had a great experience with no stress, and everyone enjoyed the food and had a good time!
I love this Costco. I came in on a Thursday evening around 5 to pick up a tray of sandwiches from the Deli. I had to find someone to help me but he was very kind. My tray of sandwiches looked fantastic and tasted delicious. It fed 7 of us and we were stuffed. The pesto dip was chefs kiss… so good!! It also came with a horseradish spread but I’m not a fan. If croissant sandwiches are your thing the tray is only $40 and you order it in the deli!!! Makes a great party main! I ordered it before this for my daughters birthday party and that plus the other snacks I put out fed close to 20+ people!
Considering this is the only Costco in Lubbock, you can get in and out pretty quick. The are self checkout lanes that go pretty quick as well. The prices are reasonable and they still have the $1.50 Hot dog and drink. If you do self check out, it’s quicker if you lay all your stuff with the bar code up and just scan everything very quickly with scanner gun.
Love Costco but the some of the front employees need to be consistent if they’re going to check membership id’s before checking out on top of being rude about it. I was the only they checked out of 30 people in front of me. So is it racial profiling or they think I can’t afford it?
Ah, excellent excellent deals and stellar customer service. When you have problem, you can really FEEL them going out of their way to help you.
Product wise, meats are A+.
Fruits and vegetables A+. Great organics selections.
Seafood A+. Fresh and frozen.
Dairy and eggs A++. The organic whole milk especially.
Home and kitchen goods A.
Clothing B+. Some are not worth the price unless discounted
Furniture A+. The bedframe, nightstands, and dresser are super good quality.
Electronics A-. Decent pricing.
Snacks A.
Other dry foods like sushi rice, cooking oil, spices, etc. A+.
Medications/supplements A+.
Toiletries A+. Slightly prefer their Kirkland signature toilet paper vs members Mark’s. It’s just a little thinner but much stronger so I can use just 4 squares and not tear.
Only wish the Costco app had self scan like their direct competitor. Sometimes the checkout and self checkout lines are too darn long.
