What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. My sister loves this place! It’s great for seeing (and adopting) adorable and lovely animals!

We got our kitten here a few weeks ago from here, and we’ve never been happier!

  2. The fish department crew was honestly informative and impressive in their help. Blaze really knows the fish inside and out and it showed. Gave us several great tips on care and made sure to help us get exactly what we wanted. Thanks for doing it right Blaze!

  3. The folks who manage the Pet Hotel at this location were so great! Our kitty, in particular, can take awhile to get used to a new space, but they were so patient with him and he was at home in no time. The staff were so thorough, too, in asking questions to make sure our pets stayed comfy during their visit. I would definitely bring our pets back here.

  4. Decent place, lots of product and shelves seem to stay stocked. It did take them months to get a refrigerated pet food unit fixed but not sure that was them. Store feels dirty even when shelves and animal displays are clean. The floor makes this store feel dirty even when it’s not. Not necessary to update but what I’ve noticed when I enter. Also not enough employees working registers during busy times of day. Might want to work on a system to remedy as long lines seem to stress some customers pets. (Not mine I don’t shop with my pet) employees are usually friendly and helpful but have had a couple instances where they were not at all, even times when I’ve helped another customer because the employee couldn’t be bothered…

  5. Its a PetSmart. We stop shopping at this chain since online you get way better prices in almost any online store (amazon included), including delivery to your door. Why to bother to go to this place, nobody helps you to find a product or recommendations, always have like 1 cashier and long wait lines. Yes, I want to buy local, but why waste personal time and money for no service?

We adopted our furever mates from Larimer Humane. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and caring and could not recommend them more for the extensive services they offer for their animals. We love supporting them and love our boys!!

ZERO stars. I recently had a extremely disappointing experience at this facility. I am a disabled, retired combat veteran and have a service dog and two small dogs at home. I wanted to find another larger dog for my service dog to play with at home so I decided to look at the Larimer County Humane Society. I was searching for a very specific dog and was completely lied to. They gave me a history that was completely the opposite of what I got. After about 3 months I had no choice but to bring her back and it broke my heart. The staff was completely disorientated when I got there and had to wait over an hour to be helped, and that made it even harder as I sat there with her. When I brought up why I was returning her, the staff to include the “manager” on duty who decided to just sit there and eavesdrop, basically put me at blame even though they lied about all her history. The manager who was there on 1/15/2023 was rude and could careless about the situation, the dog, or myself as she wondered off into the back. I asked about a voucher and she said no. The thing that infuriates me about the staff and the experience is that they say they do a vigorous test to see what the animal is about and obviously they do not. These people could careless as long as they get their money. I am extremely upset that I was put in that position and that they could care less. I own several small business in Larimer and boulder county and will absolutely be spreading the word. It was unacceptable and unprofessional, the staff should put the animals first, then the customers, then the money. It’s clearly all about the money. Now I am very worried about the dog as I became attached to her but had no choice. If the owner wants to give a garbage reply, save it. If you would like to own up to this and others I have read about, let’s speak in person. Won’t happen.

This humane society is much nicer than the previous one. Staff were all very nice and animals were all very sweet. Didn’t even get the cat we wanted, first come first serve, but that’s okay. Please adopt, the adult animals in here deserve to be adopted just as much as the babies.

This place needs to train their employees so much more. Did a dog to dog meet. Absolutely fell in love with a dog and she was labeled aggressive more than once. Another staff admitted she wasn’t aggressive at all. Our family spent 3 hours with her. No sign of aggression. When we did our dog on dog meet to introduce our dog the lady was so uneducated and inexperienced. I told them our dog was leash reactive but she refused to let them meet through a fence. When my husband asked to switch and hold the potential dog, their staff to hold ours… their staff acted so afraid of our dog. These poor dogs have no chance due to uneducated people being left in charge.

They found my cat severely injured and lied about it. When I asked what happened one person said it was just a scrape that happened when they got him and that their vet had seen him and gave an all clear. Another person told me they found him like that and that the vet hadn’t seen him because he hadn’t been there long enough to have a vet take a look. His face was swollen to the point of covering his eyes, huge bleeding gash on his forehead, nose, and paws. They also categorized him as a stray when he had his collar on with his tags including his name, my name and number, not a stray. I wouldn’t trust them with the age of the animals if you’re looking to adopt. They put my cat in as 6 years old and he’s 12.When I got home he didn’t have his collar, I had to call them to say they didn’t give it back even though the collar was right on the cage door, not out of site. It was a horrible experience with an incompetent system.

Regan C at Petco always does an amazing job at grooming my dog, Olaf. He comes out happy, not overly stressed, and looking great. Highly recommend her!

I like the staff and the remodeled store! My complaint is that I’ve been quite a few times and the sale items in my cart are rung up at their regular price. When I’ve said something about it, I was told that I could go back and take a photo of the sale tag. I had left my phone in the car and was in a hurry, so I ended up paying full price for all my sale items. I was pretty bummed that the clerk didn’t offer to help in any way. I still go here, but only when it’s super convenient.

They are so friendly there. I always feel good leaving my dog there because I know they care for him so well. I’ve been going there for almost six years and would never go anywhere else. If you get the app, after so many grooming sessions, you get one free. Thank you !

GROOMING-NOT INCLUSIVE FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY. Love getting my dogs groomed there. After today’s interection, bring my dogs there again on a day it wasn’t there Grooming day. I don’t have a good feeling of it being inclusive for a person with Tramatic Brain Injury with chronic fatigue. I didn’t give any attitude and asked if I had any appointments scheduled as im fully aware it was my mistake…was told by manager this happens a lot with me. Also reminded when I said I like Saturday and Sunday appointments told in an inconvenienced voice that next month’s appointment was scheduled on a Thursday. I have a degree with a medical condition I didn’t ask for!!!!!

Luckily Petco was open late-ish. My 3 yr old son and I were able to get the dog food we needed. We came to Fort Collins CO from northern Wyoming to visit family. The staff was friendly enough though they all seemed spent from the long day. The store was well lit, did not smell like a swamp near the reptiles, fish, etc. And overall the store had no foul odors that I could detect. The isles were clear and easy to navigate. All in all it was a pleasant experience.
