    They have pet adoptions set up every weekend for dogs, cats, and occasionally bunnies. They also offer grooming services.

  2. Good variety, helpful staff, my dog Harley loves to shop for treats here and meeting other dogs and people! I love that they host adoption events, it’s how we got Harley in the first place! That said, I really wish they didn’t sell live animals, especially not birds/exotics, but that’s not exactly something local management has control over. I did get my little Loki bird here 5+ years ago though, and she doing absolutely splendid with proper diet, exercise, daily enrichment, and regular vet care 🙂

  3. Told the grooming salon that I came in for a nail clipping, they asked if I wanted her nails grinder i said she doesn’t like it and I don’t want that service done
    . They persisted with going ahead and using the grinder on her nails having 3 vet assistants hold her down while she panics and is jumping around. Then they proceed to tell me that all dogs don’t like their nails grinned. If you have to hold dogs down for you to grind their nails you shouldn’t be doing it. Didn’t complete all 4 legs and charged me full price. Terrible people and service that I haven’t experienced until today. Shame on them for thinking they could spin the blame around on me.

  4. Found everything I needed and more. Brought my new puppy and they loved her and she loved them. Awesome place!

    BTW dogs are not cheap lol but it’s worth it.

    The rodent section is definitely lacking. The cat, dog, fish, and bird section seems to be okay, but there were very limited useful items in the rodent section. The cages barely meet the minimum requirements, but at least there’s plenty of beddings too choose from. There were also 15+ mice in one teeny tiny cage, and they were running over each other to get to the food bowl. I understand this is a pet store, but I just wish pet stores took better care and precautions of the pets they have.

    My pup has never been to a groomer and was treated with such kindness and patience. Landon had him looking so fresh and fluffy! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff!!

    We love Malea! She gave our dog Lucky the best bath and shedding treatment! She is patient and thorough and kept us up to date with how he did the whole time! We can’t wait to go back!

    Gee whiz, Petco in Gainesville, Florida is very $$$$. For example, the least expensive crate was over $100 for a 24 inch. A superstore in town has a similar item for $39.99. Guess which one we purchased? We went in because we could only find dry Purina Proplan lamb and rice puppy dog food here. The dog food is wasn’t too badly priced, but dog chew toys, collars, leashes, etc. were way overpriced – again the other merchant had them for way less. There was not a good selection of cat scratching posts and the ones they did have were quite large. A few were ridiculously tall , as if anyone would have a jaguar living in their house😂. The crate bowls were $19.99 each, while online same were $13.49 for two. They did have a great selection of fish and adorable Guinea pigs (I just love those little guys). The store is large, very clean , open and light. There is a vet on-site. Bottom line? Fairly good selection at bIG prices.

    Overall I’m happy with the store, it’s always clean and the employees have always been pleasant and helpful when needed. I do wish they were open until 9:00 like some of their competitors, but no big deal. Only complaint that loses them a star is that prices are consistently lower on their website. They do price match in store, but it’s a pain to have to check every item for a lower price at their own site, and then have everything manually adjusted. At some point, if I’m doing all of the shopping online anyway, why even go to the store? I can just buy from an online retailer for less.

    Super friendly and helpful staff. I walked in was immediately greeted and asked if I needed help finding anything. Everyone was all smiles and super nice the manager was helping a concerned little girl with her hamster and reassuring her it was doing ok and that she was doing an awesome job as a pet owner.

    Had to get some dogfood. Didn’t have my brand but I bought a comparable brand of Blue Buffalo. The store is small but well stocked and very clean. Neat and orderly. Staff was helpful when I asked about a certain brand. This store has been there forever. Check it out.

    This is a wonderful store. Great staff. Full of information. Great fish.. Affordable prices. The last fish and 4 snails we had for over 2 years. Our Beta out lived most.. 3 of our snails got away.. But we had one left.. So we upgraded our tank. Got 3 more snails so Gary would not be a lone. And 4 glo tetras they are doing great so far.
