a year agoI have been to this Lodge and it is Beauuuutiful! The owner, Kelly is very personable and attentive! Our Float on the upper Meramec was a great leisure experience with a natural spring and cave. Had a wonderful time and looking forward to returning!a year agoKelly has done an awesome job restoring this old lodge. We had a great trip here— loved spending time on the deck watching the River (and even a thunderstorm!). It was fun staying in a place with so much history in the heart of this beautiful part of the world. And Kelly is a great host—she has put her heart and soul into the lodge and is committed to making sure her guests have a great stay. Can’t wait to visit again!a year agoHighly recommend! Right next to the river, beautiful views, incredible rooms, and one hell of a host. I have stayed here 4 or 5 times now and every time is amazing. Kelly puts so much love into her lodge and makes her guests feel right at home. I have a trip already planned for this upcoming weekend to go stay again. I cannot wait and have been looking forward to it for over a month!You have to stay here! Try it once and you’ll never stay anywhere else when you visit.

a month agoJune 10-17 2023. Beautiful spacious and comfortable home we shared with several family members. Close to river access and close to town. Nice big kitchen with a long table we could all eat together! Nice decks on the bedrooms and the main area you can sit out and watch the birds and the beautiful scenery. We love the location, close to the river beach and float take out.5 years agoFantastic place to stay. Other than the neighbors in the cabin below us were insanely loud. Being older than us we thought we would bother them, but quite the opposite. Very clean and we’ll kept place. Would definitely stay again. Stay. The owner was so nice, never bothered us once.2 years agoWe’ve stayed there twice. Very tidy and good for a larger group. (9 or 10). Smaller ones available. Very pleasant owners. Nice access to river. Lots of fun!4 years agoStayed at the Hawk’s Nest. Nice rooms. Enjoyed relaxing on the deck and sitting by the fire pit. Quick river access for floating and not to far from town if you need to run for anything. I would definitely recommend it and stay here again.

Little slice of heaven! We loved it here so much we extended our stay. The quality of craftsmanship is beyond incredible. Gorgeous cabins and the property has some of the most jaw dropping views. Our family enjoyed paddle boarding in the Spring fed Crystal clear lake, visiting the horses and our kiddos loved a little family of kittens roaming around. My son and husband caught some bass and crappie. We will definitely be back. The family that owns the property is fantastic and goes above and beyond! Do yourself and family a favor and stay here!
This is an amazing place to camp. Beautiful views, a great lake, nice bathroom, and no bugs. The peninsula site is a bit rocky but still a great site. The lake is warm and perfect to swim in. Fishing was just ok. We tried many times but could only get sunnies to bite at the docks. The only down fall is the store was never staffed. I went in there three times and no one came to help. There was no phone service so I could not call the number left. We had to drive 25 miles just to get ice and wood cuz of this just a minor inconvenience. We also had a weird encounter with a lady and a younger person. They approached us asking why we have not checked out 2 days into our 5 day stay. When I said I could get my receipts they gave no explanation and walked away. Later I found out she is an owner. It made us uncomfortable for that reason we won’t come back, but truly a wonderful place.
My husband made reservations for 2 nights for our 12 year anniversary. We stayed in treehouse #4 Dancing under the red skies and it was BEAUTIFUL! We had a hot tub and easy access to the lake. We reserved the horseback riding and had an absolute blast. Neither one of us have been on a horse and the instructors made sure we were safe and knew what we were doing before we took off on trails. Everything was extremely clean and welcoming. All you need is your clothes and food and you’re ready for an awesome stay! We will be making this a trip every couple months and bringing our kids next time!

Great location with plenty of lake activities. Lots of lodging options and different prices. Family-owned and staffed with kind individuals!
We had a great time. The lake was fun to paddle board and kayak on, we pretty much had the lake to ourselves. Definitely a must stop
