a year agomy favorite beach in the whole world, and i’ve been around. never too crowded, just a little cold (but that’s all right with me), and absolutely stunning views especially when the sun’s on the horizon. good food nearby too for a beach picnic. must-seea year agoJust discovered this magnificent Beach! It is small but has a area to set up on the sand and this area of the beach has no waves. It’s a kiddie beach. If you walk out it does get deep but the first part is low and no waves for kids. I like this because I just like sitting in the water like a swimming pool. Free parking and a lil market close by. Weekends this place gets packed. Parking is small but worth it if you have lil kids. It’s also near the harbor entrance so you get to see boats come in and out.2 years agoBeautiful beach. Not crowded and a great place to walk.

5 years agoThis is our second time staying in this amazing home and we simply love it! Of course, you can’t beat the location, right on the sand in Malibu and just minutes from restaurants, grocery store, etc. The views are stellar and the home design maximizes this. The kitchen is VERY well stocked (we cooked in almost every night) and the linens are high quality. We especially love the way this home is decorated. It’s uber cool, yet comfortable and cozy (especially with a roaring fire!). We’ll definitely stay here again.5 years agoTurnKey provided a great experience during my rental in Santa Barbara! Everything about the reservation was clearly outlined. Had no problem getting into the home. Plus they have great customer service. We initially had difficulty signing into the Wifi, so we called their customer service number and were immediately back in business. The rental home itself was absolutely gorgeous, extremely clean and well-kept, plus well equipped with games, fans, extra bedding, cooking supplies, etc. They also granted us an early check-in!2 years agoWe had never heard of Mussel Shoals before, and frankly it was the home that attracted us to this location, during Covid 2020, we were trying to find a quiet place on the ocean. We found it! – this place did not disappoint and exceeded our expectation. The home is very special, first location and setup, backing on to the home is the Pacific Ocean there are gorgeous sunset views. Taking your morning coffee and walking onto what is typically the beach to yourself was a treat. The windows both upstairs and downstairs fully open to permit the cool ocean breeze. I used both the kayak and a bike to get exercise which was awesome. We had some maintenance issues, couldn’t turn upstairs heater down, or hot-tub heater up and as someone mentioned the expresso machine was still out of order, so the owner might be interested to watch and ensure these things are addressed. I have a VRBO vacation home on Kauai, and I’m starting to think it’s time to trade up to Mussel Shoals 😉 Thank-you and we’re already looking for the opportunity to return within a year. Ps: If you take the kayak out start a couple homes to the right of the house…away from the rocks…just saying.4 years agoThis beautiful home right on the waterway in Channel Islands is just a jewel and a treasure. Our ministry used it to house 8 of us for a weekend and we were all blessed beyond measure! TURNKEY was fabulous to deal with as well; so responsive to all of our needs/requests. Couldn’t recommend it more!5 years agoWe had a great weekend at this beautiful and impressively large vacation rental! Great location, walkable to the beach and very close to State St. Check-in was extremely easy, TurnKey provided us with a door code and instructions and the house was found in great shape, very clean and nice. Check-out was similarly painless! The shower in the master bath broke during our stay but TurnKey were INCREDIBLY responsive and nice and sent a plumber out straight away to look at the situation. All in all a very positive experience!

My family only got to stay here for one night, but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Check in time is 4 pm-6 pm, and check out time is 10 am, which I found to be kind of late for check-in and kind of early for check-out when you are only staying for one day. The place was quite large and spacious, so I understand people needed that time to clean the place. We enjoyed the amenities- we had a hot tub, though I think not every unit has one, and we had a washer and dryer on site, as well as a dishwasher, full fridge/freezer, and an upstairs and downstairs. The front office manager was very nice and kind to my family- we arrived a bit early, so they let my kids use the front restroom to change into their swimsuits for the beach that was in walking distance of our place. We want to come back in the future- we just hope to be able to stay multiple days next time.
Although it’s nice to be left alone and not worry about anybody entering the unit during the week, I found myself worrying about making sure the unit was clean and towels were picked up and washed.
I left as small a footprint as possible to accommodate your company’s policy of leaving the unit as clean as possible when leaving. I didn’t bother going to the beach because I didn’t want to spray tar remover on myself.
I did enjoy using the hot tub. It was very relaxing.
Liked that there was a t.v. in every room even though I stayed in the family room the whole time to keep the place neat and clean.
Idk if you are aware of the flooring in the upstairs bathrooms. In one bathroom, the flooring looks like the original flooring from 19??. The other bathroom floor looks like the person putting the flooring down just wanted to finish fast and put the vinyl strips down any old way.
The carpeting is outdated too. May be time for some upgrades.
Overall, my stay was fine but not luxurious as the word resort suggests.

Great place—we stayed two nights to visit Channel Islands. The unit came with a private hot tub with a view of the ocean. Bliss after a day of hiking and getting wind-swept on the ferry! Very friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay!
I stayed here with a 16 year old boy and a 12 year old girl. I wanted a separate bedroom for my son. The unit was fine, not luxurious or unpleasant. The bedroom configuration was the reason for the choice, and was as expected. The beach is a short walk and when we were there was very clean and quiet
Stayed here overnight as a stopover on a road trip. Nice neighborhood and only a block from the beach. This would be a great place for a family vacation. The condo is fully supplied, and has a barbecue and spa on the deck. Also,they offer free use of beach chairs,umbrellas and kids’ beach toys and have a calendar of family friendly activities. No problems with parking. Giving only a 4 for the rooms because the one I stayed in was a little dated (80’s maybe?) and some of the furniture was worn. But overall a great experience.
