  1. My wedding at Hillcrest Manor was absolutely beautiful. I was so blessed that Mary was able to accommodate a short time frame of 3 months from our first meeting to the wedding date. I was glad that she had everything mapped out about options for the big day. There was a lot that I hadn’t thought of! I was sad to see some bad reviews of this beautiful event venue.

    The flowers, food, and venue were more than what I could have expected. My specifics were addressed and followed. I did give Mary free range for the larger floral pieces since she knew her venue and what looked best and I was not disappointed at the result. I have beautiful pictures of that day and my photographer loved the venue and what it had to offer for the many backdrops he needed.

    Kudos to the owners and staff for all that they did to make my special day a great one!

    One point to clear up that many don’t realize, is that if you as the bride/groom etc that is making the decisions, says to make food for a certain head count, that is what is made. In the pre-wedding details, it is decided at what size portion is served. In the end, whether you are on a budget or not, your guests should be gracious to eat what is provided.

  2. We had just a lovely stay in this very unique, old mansion. The owners treat you like family. They call to ask your arrival time so they can greet you at the door and present you with fresh cookies on your departure. Breakfast was superb and the room was cheerful, very clean and unique. We’re definitely staying on our next trip.

  3. Absolutely EXCELLENT Wedding/Anniversary location. On our 26th Wedding Anniversary, we reaffirmed our love for one another on this beautiful estate. In 1995, we held our wedding reception on the grounds of Hillcrest Manor and we were blessed to meet Mary and Maj who exceed our every expectation for our ceremony 26 years later!! Our family was thrilled and treated like ROYALTY!! The venue, food and decor were everything we wanted and so much more!! A TRUE BLESSING that will forever be etched in our hearts!!

  4. We stayed for a night after a doctor’s visit in the area- We stepped back in time for a moment and it was absolutely wonderful. Mary and March were perfect hosts and southern hospitality is their specialty. Breakfast with perfect coffee and eggs Benedict was delicious. We strolled around the gardens after breakfast and imagined what the place looked like back in it’s day. They ended our stay with a bouquet of carnations and homemade cookies. So unexpected but appreciated! Highly recommend this B&B. If you are looking for new and perfect keep strolling..if you want historic charm, imperfect character and southern hospitality this is your place. Thank y’all so much!   5. Loved the history& southern hospitality. We were welcomed into their beautiful home. The neighborhood was very run-down, but we could tell at one time it was probably top knotch. Gardens aren’t kept up way they once were, but still enjoyed the stay. My wife&I loved the breakfast& romantic vibe the home created. I would stay again if opportunity allows.
