  1. I’ve stayed here for little over 6 months, during that time most staffs were rude, but there were few that stood out and was very helpful and polite.
    Natalia during her time there was always very friendly and helpful.
    I don’t know the gentleman’s name but he was one of the management, he too was also very helpful, and friendly.

    Most bartender, wait staff was always rude and seemed annoyed that we’re even there. Few housekeeping has asked us for money.

    Rooms were very outdated and many of my co workers saw AC going out, not working properly. Hot water not available.
    Compared to hotels around US, it is terrible.

    If it wasn’t for those two mentioned, above I would have hated my time.

  2. See a lot of bad reviews from other people. I had a great stay. The hotel is nicely decorated. It had a parking garage you can enter the hotel directly from. The room was huge and clean. Customer service was top notch. Good location in town. Only problem I had was with billing, but they taken care of that quickly.

  3. This was a favorite place to stay in McAllen for a decade under Marriott. Tine current stewards of this historic property have eliminated the unique feel and superior service which this hotel was known. The rooms had an attempted modernization which has failed. The welcome was lack luster. The lobby lost all its charm. It’s turned into a mediocre experience . Currently I’m hoping my room will cool off. Please do not think this will be the experience you once has here. It’s my last stay.

  4. The room was okay, however not on the third floor as reservations have been made for. Given that my mom’s 90th birthday party, was on the third floor. The patio was in a nice location but it wasn’t clean. Hence, uninviting.

  5. It was a last minute booking for a night. Next time we will book as a weekend getaway, and enjoy the amenities of the hotel.
    The neighborhood was inviting for a night walk in the park across the street and enjoy the live music performances.

    Room could have been just perfect if the AC would be quieter when it started through the night.

    The king bed was just perfect for an invigorating night sleep 💤

    Clean hotel with responsive and friendly staff. Rooms are perfectly set up for a long stay and include a hotplate, microwave, and full sized fridge. Breakfast and Evening dinner was tasty and the kitchen staff professional. Location is convenient with a few restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely stay again.

    Only complaint is minor, this location may benefit from a backup power source as we were out of power for 2 days during our stay.

    Overall experience was pretty good. Stayed here for a few months. Hotel staff were great, knowledgeable of their job, and professional. Cleanliness of the hotel was great. Even the caliber of guest their were pretty good. The hotel offered hot breakfast and hot dinner snack most days. Pool, gym, and outdoor court were nice. Any issues that came about were handled quickly. I would say that their laundry machines are a bit outdated. They could use an update in that department and maybe update from quarters to cards. Parking was sufficient and safe. Overall I was very satisfied and comfortable during my extended stay. Would definitely recommend for extended stays and will be back.

    Not a bad hotel. It has a kitchen area and a full refrigerator if you are staying for an extended time. They offer a beer/wine and a small dinner Monday-Thursday in the lobby. I stayed for 60 days and I didn’t have too many complaints.

    Very nice and clean. Service is awesome. Only problem we’ll not really a problem my fault for not checking before hand. Pet deposit is a little high. Other then that we enjoyed our stay. Will definitely be back and spend more time. 🥰
