a week agoStayed in the tower room for 3 nights. Very accommodating, helpful, responsive host. Very nice bathroom. Would recommend to people needing a stay around Boston4 months agoFantastic experience by a dedicated host. I’ve stayed at a lot of Air Bnb’s but this is one of the coolest available.Hue Lights throughout, Free parking (They have paid private available too), A nice view of BC and Brighton, etc.
I’d definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area or visiting Boston!
11 months agoI stayed with my husband and my 15-month-old baby at the Perthshire house for over a month, and we had a great experience. The location is great, the house is lovely and clean, and Charles is an excellent host. The house has everything you need for a short or long stay. Charles is always available and ready to help at all times. We felt at home in the Perthshire house and would recommend it to anyone planning to visit Boston.11 months agoI moved to the Boston area with my family this summer. We needed a place to stay before our apartment was ready to move into and we decided on the Perthshire house. Charles was very accommodating and made us feel welcome. The house is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.3 weeks agoThe host is extremely friendly and attentive, the place is very clean and nice. I’m glad I chose this place to stay!

a month agoPerfect location with close proximity to shopping, dining, the green line, public, transportation, and more! The unit was clean, bright, spacious and well decorated. It was great having in unit laundry, AC and a dishwasher. Keep in mind that there are no elevators so you will have to take the stairs to get up to the units, but all in all, this was a fantastic and comfortable place to stay while visiting Boston!a month agoBoston was once my home. I have visited several times since but always staying at hotels within the city. As beautiful as these hotels are, none of them have felt like home like Thatch. The apartment is beautiful, functional, comfortable, amazingly located. It is truly a home away from home! I plan to come back again and again! Thank you!2 months agoWe had a lovely stay, the room is well equipped with coffee machine, washer and dryer. Newbury street is a great location, plenty of shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance. Thatch team is consistent and responsive in their communication.2 months agoPerfect location clean and tidy. Bed is firm but we got use to it. Great people watching spot. Main road but relatively quiet and very safe. Fun Taylor Swift weekend and great shopping! Would recommend.3 months agoWhat a lovely apartment in an amazing location! Walkable to so many shops and restaurants and sights. We came for the marathon and the location couldn’t have been more perfect.It’s true city living so don’t expect a ton of space or peace and quiet, but the apartment was spotless and well furnished. Linens were our only complaint (unless they upgrade them, bring your own), but the hosts responded quickly to our requests and were very friendly.
It was quite expensive so I’m not sure we could afford to stay here every time but I hope to return again someday.

The rooms were clean. They did not supply us every day with new towels. The service desk did not know their job. We paid for a suite but got a regular room with no microwave. Their is no continental breakfast ($13.95)! You can’t even get a cup of coffee ($4.95). They have keurigs in the room with only 2 regular pods. Well, that is gone before bedtime. We asked the front desk on day 2 for more pods. Which I got charged $10.00 and since I was not there when they delivered them, they threw them on the floor in the hallway. They also charged my credit card for making up my bed each morning. Last of all is a $20.00 parking fee per day to park in their parking lot. My advice is not to stay here. It is not worth it.
Nice! No parking garage to deal with, it was a parking lot. The rooms were ok. The beds were comfy and big enough to fit two adults. Plenty of space to walk around in and they also had a pool, but we never got to go because the one day we were free was the Fourth of July, so the pool was closed. Sad 😢🙁. The bathroom was kind of tiny with little counter space and we kept having to replace our room keys because after three uses they wouldn’t work anymore. Overall good experience!
This is a shout out to the staff, especially MONA, JEAN, and RONNIE, who demonstrated true grace under fire and the best that hospitality has to offer. We visited this hotel a couple of weeks ago. We stayed one night and it was evident early on that the hotel was operating with lean staffing. There were a lot of families around, children playing in common spaces and racing up and down the hallways. The pool was down, which meant the other recreational activities could not be accessed because they were in the same area as the pool. The hotel restaurant only had two workers (MONA and JEAN) who busted their butts to keep up with the breakfast crowd. They were bombarded and quite frankly could not do better without more help. Through it all, they served us with kindness, respect, and professionalism. RONNIE greeted us with a smile every time we saw him and helped us find lunch for my picky five year old. Thank you, staff! I hope this isn’t your norm and can only imagine how much MORE you shine when you are operating at max capacity!
I stayed at this hotel this weekend and it was terrible. The hotel is completely outdated. The door to our room would not open, we had to push it. The room keys needed to be reset every time you used it and the staff just kept on saying don’t put it near your cell phone. This was not the reason these keys were not working. The shower did not drain correctly, the mini fridge was warm inside, the pool was closed. The only good thing was that the gentleman at the Bar/Restaurant. He was very personable. If you can stay somewhere else do not stay at this Hotel.
I booked a room, that should have had two full sized beds, for 4 adults. When we arrived, they gave us the key, we went up to the room and there was only a king bed and a pull out couch bed… For 4 adults!!! (They said nothing about this when we checked in.)
I immediately called down to the front desk, asked them if they gave us the correct room.. because this is not what I purchased, and they told me they “upgraded” the room at no additional cost. I said this was anything but an upgrade, as 4 adults can not rest here!!!
I asked them where the room is that -I- had booked, they admitted they gave it to someone else, and they were fully booked and couldn’t give us what we had purchased.
Unbelievable!!!
So we pulled out the “couch bed”… it was littered with Cheetos and stains- discusting.
I called down to the front desk again and asked for sheets, a blanket, and two more towels, because the room did not have an extra sheet or a blanket, and only had two towels. No joke, I spent 45 minutes calling down there until they finally brought us the sheet, blanket and towels. They said they would refund me $75 but I have not seen that yet, and doubt I will. We left at 7:15 a.m, nobody slept well.
I will never stay there again, and unless you’re desperate or traveling by yourself or only One other…
I would NOT recommend staying here.
