What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Great restaurant and loved the atmosphere. We stopped in and were seated outside on the balcony. Our waiter was Miles and we enjoyed our visit. We ordered gumbo, catfish platter, char boiled oysters, the seafood platter, and 2 kids popcorn shrimp. The food came out hot and tasty. The serving sizes were huge. We will most definitely be back.

  2. We just finished a long walking tour and was so hungry! I came upon this spot and am sure glad that I did! My 1st time trying green fried tomatoes and baked oysters! Something I would Never try and let me tell you, Very Yummy! The Alligator po boy was super good and, of course, was a Must. The shrimp was perfect! Everything overall was great. Our 1st time to New Orleans and had a Blast. Hopefully, I will be able to visit again in the future.

    * Server was really nice, although once it started to get busy, we had to wait a bit which is expected, but we were already finishing up, so that was a plus.

  3. While this is a famous restaurant located a few steps away from Jackson Square we were very impressed from the moment we walked in. Our food was absolutely to die for. As we are not big seafood fans we did not try the crawfish looked and smelled out of this world. I can confirm that their Jambalaya is one of the greatest tastes I have ever experienced. Staff were friendly and there was a busy upbeat and electric atmosphere. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that I felt the prices were slightly high versus the portion size but in truth we probably should have just ordered more wonderful creole cuisine. Will definitely return on our next trip to NOLA.

  4. Came here for my husband’s birthday dinner with family, we waited a bit but not a crazy amount of time. The service was good, the server did disappear towards the end for a bit and one of my drinks was not good but everything else was delicious! The food was super fresh and it had good amount of flavors. The place is spacious with plenty of seat and good AC!

  5. Excellent, friendly service here! The shrimp and grits I had was definitely worth trying but I did try superior versions elsewhere in New Orleans. One note is that you cannot split bills between party members, which is useful to know before you go! It’s also good to be prepared for very seafood-heavy flavors, which could be a positive or a negative depending on what you like! My paradise island cocktail was very good 🙂

Muriel’s was the highlight of our trip to New Orleans. The 3 course prix fixe menu is a fantastic deal for $49. The best thing we got at the table was the shrimp and grits. The gumbo was very hardy and a perfectly sized appetizer. The roast half chicken for the main was so perfectly cooked, the skin was crispy and thin without being tough. Finally, the bread pudding was absolutely fantastic. The meal was so good, we went back a few years later since we didn’t have plans. The tortilla soup was the best I’ve ever had, and the pork chop was absolutely massive and tasty. Service was great as well, with super attentive servers.

Fantastic brunch! So happy they were able to accommodate us on a packed Sunday without a reservation! Food and drinks were outstanding. Spinach salad was perfectly dressed and bananas foster french toast was outstanding! My husband loved the 3 course brunch menu and you cannot beat it for the price! Service was impeccable and we loved the courtyard dining experience. Would definitely return anytime we are visiting Nola!

Fantastic meal! It’s a great place to celebrate a birthday or other special occasion. The set meal is an awesome deal and all our choices were yummy. The bisque and grits were the best I’ve had this whole trip. The bread pudding was out of this world. It’s a place I’d definitely go to again next time I’m in town. The location is also fantastic and close to everything.

Heard about this place from our ghost tour guide who was a local. So glad he told us about it, it was by far our favorite meal of the trip! (And yes we went to all the famous spots they tell you about, this was the best.) We came in early and got drinks and took them upstairs on the balcony and the lounge. Very cool building history. They play into the haunted history but without being gimmicky. I went for the 3 course meal. Great value for only $50. I needed help to finish the dessert! We had two waiters who were great and friendly and the food came out pretty fast. I’m glad we saved this for the last night, it made a great ending.

Great food, beautiful restaurant. Really cool haunting story too if you’re into that type of thing. Wife and I got 3-course meal and couldn’t find one thing we didn’t like. Shrimp and goat cheese crepes were amazing, pork chops were mind blowing good, and bread pudding was to die for. I’m not even a bread pudding fan but this one was 10/10

Antoine’s is a history rich location that you won’t want to miss. If you are planning a nice meal out while visiting I recommend making this stop a priority. Antoine’s is the oldest restaurant in the US opening in 1840. We had lunch there which was very reasonable prices for the luxury atmosphere. Two course winter lunch was $25 and for $18 you can do a bottomless mimosa. Delicious!! Not on the menu but a must is the oyster sampler. My husband and I couldn’t decide which oysters to get so why not try them all? My favorite was the charbroiled oysters but the others were just as good. I also had the duo potato bisque topped with truffle oil and it was so smooth and melted in the mouth. I ate the gulf fish which was perfectly seasoned and chef’s kiss! My only complaint was that the Creole shrimp was a little under seasoned but besides that we were in love with the service and atmosphere. Our bill was about $110 with cocktails, appetizer, and our entrees. Great deal for the luxury experience. 10/10 would recommend.

I tried the set lunch menu and was satisfied. Service: The staff are fantastic and everyone knows their role. They’re polite, kind, and offer an upscale experience while wearing formal attire. I believe the staff are trained to deliver a specific type of high end service which they execute well. Food: I’d say the food was good. Everything was plated with finesse and was served hot. The butternut squash bisque was rich, creamy and flavoursome. The champagne chicken was dry and over cooked but the dish was saved by its tasty seasonings and sauces. The bread pudding was of good quality with a decadent sauce and fresh cream. Overall: If you want to have a fine dining experience, this is a great place to dress up for and the food is not bad. It’s a decent bucket list experience and the lunch menu is economically priced. However; there is better food in New Orleans.

The 5 stars are mostly for the food. Everything was delicious. The simple char broiled oyster was better than the oyster bienville and the oyster Rockefeller. The soft shell crab was sweet and juicy. The famous dessert “baked Alaska” was very much worth trying. Everybody loved it. Just make sure that you order it along with your meal, since the kitchen needs ample amount of time to prepare it. The ambiance was alright but it was almost too loud to hear each other across the table. Dress code was not strict at all. The service was friendly, their recommendations spot on. But we were missing a dinner set throughout the entire dinner. Thankfully each set included two knives and two forks so that we could share. It was hard to get the staff’s attention. They also charged a wrong bill with higher amount to our credit card. We caught it right away, they apologized greatly and corrected it immediately. But as of now, the wrong amount is still showing on our credit card statement.

Great experience on a nice night out in New Orleans! The serving staff was very professional and really had good knowledge of the menu. The place has lots of history and you can tell reputation is important there. The drinks were also strong and flavor. I got the creole shrimp and really enjoyed it. The texture of the shrimp was perfect, and the portion was a decent size. Would definitely recommend checking this place out to sample the culture. Overall, I give Antoine’s Restaurant a 4.3 out of 5, a must visit spot off Bourbon Street!

I loved the service. The guys made sure all of our wants and needs were taken care of and did it with a smile. The food was delicious. We ordered the oysters, steak, shrimp & grits, and everything was stellar. The cocktails were well made and not watered down like some places. It was a great dining experience 👌
