  1. By far the best tattoo shop experience I have ever had! The shop is super clean, smells nice, and is the perfect mix between classy and nerdy. I was immediately greeted by very friendly staff, and got to check out all the cool art and fun things to look at while waiting in the comfy waiting area. Halo was my artist, he was so kind and fun to talk with. He gave me my new favorite tattoo, a portrait of my first baby, Miles (who’s birthday is coming up!). I have never felt more at home at any tattoo shop, look no further for your place because Black Lotus is unlike any other! 11/10 recommend! Photos taken by Halo 😊

  2. I had such an amazing experience with Kirsten, she designed and tattooed exactly what I wanted and was wonderful throughout the whole process. The shop is clean and beautiful, everyone is super nice and accommodating. One of the front desk staff (I can’t remember her name but she was so sweet) went around and took lunch orders for all of us, there’s a huge snack table to keep your blood sugar up, plenty of free water, tvs playing movies in case you forget to bring something to keep you occupied while you’re being tattooed. Amazing artists and shop all around. I can’t wait to come back.

  4. Got my nose pierced by Corina, she is a darling and sweet heart. Very professional, gentle, mild mannered, well versed in her profession. I was very nervous (terrified) and she reassured me that it would be quick and painless. It was 🙂 She gave me very specific after care instructions, on which I followed to the letter and my healing process is going phenomenal. I returned for a post check up appointment for her to check my healing and everything looks good. I asked her if she could change my nose ring to a different one and she did no questions asked. Mrs. Corina is the best that has ever done it, if anyone ever asks I would recommend her every time. Corina is the best.

  5. I just got my first piercing ever with Missy and everything was exceptional. First off, the space itself is beautiful, adorned with wall-to-wall paintings and people covered in works of art. Missy told me her expectation of what it is we were doing today and asked about my future goals for my piercing (I intend to stretch it). She went through everything a newbie-without-piercings like myself expected such as the material of the earring, how to clean and care for it, what to do and what not to do, and more. She even went over some things I did not expect such as how she knows her tools are sterile. She spoke aloud her next actions before doing them, treating me with a calming compassion, not knowing if I was nervous or not. Exceptional service and people and I look forward to going back.

    Adam is Clutch! I went along with my husband to get a pre-existing tattoo touched up. First and foremost Adam’s interpersonal skills are top notch. I felt like I knew him forever and he was super funny. He took his time, redid the tattoo and made it look more beautiful than when it was originally done (By a different artist). It took about 3 hours yet it went by so fast. It was reasonably priced especially for the size of the tattoo. The shop is very clean and unique. I truly enjoyed my visit. We will return soon to complete an Armour piece Adam started before the pandemic.

    This was my first visit and it won’t be my last. I had an overall awesome experience, friendly,clean,respectful, helpful, Great sense of humor. I just lost my mommy🙏🏽🕊🕊🕊and i wanted something to represent her, and Jackie did a beautiful angel😇 for me. This really made me happy. Touched my heart❤ They don’t just want ur money their goal is they want u happy, with a beautiful piece of art, i give them a 20⭐ out of 20⭐. U will no leave disappointed💯💪🏽🙌🏽

    Super cool guys. One let me borrow his charger while my friend got tatted. Pretty cool museum. Lots of pictures and tattoo guns on display. I’m only giving it a 4 because they are pretty expensive for my taste. But it may be due to the tourist rich location and the fact that it IS a museum. So yeah, and they do great work. My friend was very satisfied with her tat. Sorry I don’t have a pic of the finished product, but that’s her in the pic laying down. If your in Bmore, its a cool place to visit and say you got a tattoo from.

    My SIL and I wanted to get tattoos before she returned to NC, so walk ins were our only choice We walked in with ideas and walked out with personalized tattoos just 2 hours later. Down to Earth, friendly people working the counter and the artists are very friendly too! Adam did a fantastic job, is very talented, and was easy to talk to throughout the process. I would recommend to anyone and will definitely be back!!

    I love their professionalism. No back alley stick-n-go’s here buddy!!! Make sure you bring Valid Photo ID for folk 18 and up and for folk 16 and up, you must have both a Valid Photo ID and Birth Certificate..NO EXCEPTIONS!!! Now while I have Not gotten tatted here, I did however get my nose pierced in 2020 with no issue. Fast forward…my now 16 year old and 24 year old wanted piercings, while I needed a new NR since mine was lost several months ago. They of course wanted to do Claire’s and I’m like, “Not on my watch!” 🤣 We heads down to TBTM and my dude Ian hooked all 3 of us up! He did a phenomenal job, as he was extremely gentle and patient throughout our entire visit. I would definitely recommend TBTM…as their historical tattoo art is really interesting to look at while you wait to be serviced.

    I did a walk in and ended up with Anthony. I had a screenshot on my phone that he managed to turn into an AMAZING little tattoo and the price was unbelievable!     A second review because this is my 3rd visit to Ray (and counting.). I’m compelled to do another review because when your guy is top notch, you want everybody to know. Siring this sitting Ray brought a 19 year old tattoo to life; it’s now version Ray.0! I asked him to take his creative license and ‘Ray it out’ for me. Yes, book the appointment in advance people!
