What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. You must come and see this renovated building! I have been involved with Westminster House for over 7 years, although no longer an employee, but still a huge fan, and I am so impressed at the outcome of their renovations. Gorgeous apartments with new carpet, windows, kitchens, bathrooms with safety bars, etc. There is a new intercom system for the precious seniors here. Wonderful new furniture was just delivered yesterday for the common areas, lobby and offices. It is just such a transformation. I would be proud to call this place home!!

  2. Getting rid of the bed bugs I got during my year there has obligated me to an $1800 extermination bill at my new residence, likely to increase because first treatment wasn’t fully effective. When expressing my concerns about the problem to westminster house mgmt, I was told it was to be expected when living in a building that houses the disabled and seniors which I resent as a disabled senior. No matter what your circumstances you deserve better.

  3. The staff at Westminster House are always friendly and welcoming. The area in Mount Vernon is close to so much and convenient for residents.

  4. It is nice to work with a Property Management Company who takes care of their building. They are always on top of any maintenance issues. It is always a pleasure to work with the staff and the residents.

  5. A reasonable priced retirement community with great studio and 1 bedroom apartments. Great management and excellent staff and maintenance services. Been living here since August 2021 and no complaints at all. Handicap accessible and they have different food services that deliver food to the tenants and controlled access to the building. Located in Mt Vernon and close to downtown and the harbor. Can’t beat the prices and the area has lots of businesses within walking distance too

Totally disappointing. I gave them my application along with a $25 application fee almost 3 1/2 months ago. When I called to check on my application I spoke with someone named Selema. She informed me that she had my application and needed more info which is basically why I was calling because I needed to know what she needed. She was very pleasant and told me that she was uploading and updating my application in the system. But that I can come and pick up the money order because there was no fee. I told her myself or Granddaughter would be there to get it. From that day on I called to go get it it wasn’t there no one knew what I was talking about. Eventually we were told Selma no longer worked there and they didn’t see any record of my application. I then asked about the money order that also has not been found. I’ve been calling asking you speak to the manager first told to call back on a Friday it was Wednesday. Called back Friday call back Monday. Spoke with Tiffany a few times she kept saying the manager wasn’t there the receptionist started asking who’s calling after I would ask to speak to manager and suddenly the manager isn’t there and I left messages several times. No ONE HAS EVER CALLED BACK. Even though the application wasn’t apparently even given consideration I still want my $25 I am a Senior on A Fixed Income I need my damn money. It hasn’t been cashed but hasn’t been returned to me and it will cost $18 to get a refund lol. That’s a laugh but I’m not laughing about the unconcerned unprofessional response from this staff. Today was the last straw the rude im just the receptionist attitude I just got is even more disrespectful. It may be just $25 to them but it’s my damn $25 and I would have probably just called it a lost had I felt any type of genuine concern. But since it’s a joke to them I thought I’d share it. Thank God I found a home. Because I don’t think Linden Park is a place I would ever want to live. Oh by the way I never saw a actual apartment but the environment on the the outside and that lobby wasn’t impressive.

I finally moved in a couple of days ago and I must say I love my new apartment!! I got an efficiency and it is definitely bigger then what I imagined it to be. The staff and the other residents are all so nice and friendly!

Frequent utility problems… Such as heat/air condition…hot water. At least one elevator is often in disrepair. Air quality in the apts is affected by poorly designed furnace filtering systems in individual apartments. Lastly, the placement of the heating/air condition unit in the apartments allows some to be unusually cold in Winter and hot in the Summer, regardless of temperture control settings. Use of space heaters is forbidden.

I’ve lived here for 17 years. There used to be some major problems here but they’ve been mostly addressed by the new management. The long dormant tenants association has been reorganized and they have been planning activities on a regular basis. I intend on joining the Planning Committee to help arrange activities. Meals on Wheels is offered 4 days a week and Bingo twice a week. Living conditions have improved greatly since the renovations were completed.

I love it here.most of the people that I have met are cool. The management staff are wonderful. I am so grateful and blessed that God opened up that door for me to get in here. Thank you Ms.J.Hill for working with me. When you put your trust in Jesus everything will be alright
