What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. 3/5/23 6:15pm Carl along with 2 other associates all had attitudes! Went to purchase glo fish for my kids couldn’t find no help, so I walked to the front to ask Carl he said someone is over there I walked back didn’t see anyone went back to Carl and said I didn’t see nobody he said someone over there just wait ! Store close at 7 now it’s 6:45 when i finally get help then when she attempted to help she left me and went to help someone else grunting just unsatisfied with the poor customer service or is was it a race issue!

  2. Great place, and the staff was very friendly and we are happy for our new pets, Special thanks to Mrs. Blaine for the help and kindness in adopting our beautiful cats Taylor and Mark🐈🐈❤️

  3. Not very impressed with the staff here. They have yet to figure out how to display the horn worms. I also tend to steer clear of buying fish from this spot because I’d rather not the associate kill the fish they’re trying to get out.

  4. Everyone I have dealt with at this store has been kind and helpful. I even was told to call if I had questions or needed help with my fishtank. I called today and the employee was helpful over the phone.

  5. Fantastic dog food prices on top of the line products. I thought for sure Walmart would have lower prices. What I found was PetSmart is the better bargain #vs$. These days it cost a small fortune to feed your fur babies.

The staff were amazing, and the facility was very well organized. You can adopt the dog you want that day, no week long application process or wait list. There was a huge selection of dogs, and I wish they all could’ve gone home with me!🥺 But, thanks to this shelter, I got my newest addition, Lily (or as the shelter had her named Carp). She’s the sweetest dog and since she had been at the shelter a couple months, they waived her fee. If you truly are looking for a loving companion and not just a pedigree show dog, I highly recommend this place. They have so many great dogs that need good homes, and their adoption fees are very reasonable. Thank you Companion Animal Alliance for helping me find my sweet girl!! I will be recommending this shelter to all of my friends and family.

When I went they were waiving adoption fees for dogs and it was so, so, so busy. I had previously adopted from there after covid when it was appointment only and had a very enjoyable experience. This was organized chaos. Unfortunately they don’t have a room you can spend time with the dog so they are going bonkers with all the people and noise. I went there because I heard they were trying to save dogs from being euthanized and my intention was to adopt a dog. Unfortunately I was not able to make a good decision based on the commotion. I did, however, adopt a wonderful older cat that needed a home. Thor (Uncle Grandpa is the name he had there) Also, I am not sure if it is just because they are so full right now, but there is an overwhelming smell of poop throughout the building.

CAA is amazing and so is the staff there! I adopted a cat from them and have now fostered 2 times. Both times were very easy and Collins (foster coordinator) has always been extremely responsive and helpful. I plan to foster for them for the foreseeable future. The facility is beautiful and clean. They run it very well!!!

The shelter was a bit messy. There was urine ALL over the floor that we had to really watch our step. Some dogs looked well taken care of and some didn’t. One dog was SO scared it stayed at the back of the kennel shaking and growling and looked like it was ready to attack and it’s paperwork said it had been previous adopted but they returned it for whatever reason – I get the feeling it was too violent. I’m a bit indecisive about how I felt about this place and feel I need to go again for a more accurate review. The ONE dog they had that interests me wasn’t even there – they had brought him to an adoption event I wasn’t away of… so I still haven’t seen him. The staff didn’t tell me that’s where he was at first. They told me he had been adopted. I found out later on FB that he was still available and I was told wrong. Everything was just a mess…

My kids and I have visited the Companion Animal Alliance on the date of May 4 and May 7. For the free adoption of pets. The first dog we picked , we were told the dog wasn’t available for adoption yet to come back. So we did and of course it was going. On May 6 we emailed about another dog and told was available. So we were there at 10 am when they opened and was told that particular dog would cost 200.00 . That wasn’t mention in the email. I will not go to that facility anymore! Also my kids were very disappointed.

Cat Haven is an amazing place. We have donated to them for years and we lost one of our oldest fur babies early this year and they helped us find Jackson and he is such an amazing addition to our family. Can’t say enough good things about this place and all the people that work and volunteer here

We adopted Sam (aka Tuxedo Sam) just a few days ago, but it’s like he’s always been a part of our family. Even though he’s still adjusting to his new surroundings, he’s the most affectionate, sweetest kitten we’ve ever met. Sam has us all (grumpy old Chihuahua included) wrapped around his paws already! Thank you Cat Haven! The staff were professional, kind, knowledgeable, and made us feel welcome the moment we walked in. It’s obvious these cats/kittens are well taken care of and loved.

Super friendly. Very knowledgeable. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to adopt any age and variety of breeds. They are upfront with their fees and will give you a timeline of when the cat is ready for pickup. They love every single feline that they have and want them to go to a loving home.

Yesterday I wanted to adopt a kitten and I went to cat heaven to do it. I was very anxious and happy to be able to do it. I have all the methods to take care of the kitten. The boy with blond hair gave me the application to fill it out and when I showed it to him, he denied . the adoption because there was an option to remove the kitten’s nails I put yes to the option thinking that it was for take care of the kitten’s nails as many people use to manicure their pets my intention was never to do surgery on the kitten I tried to explain to him that it was not what he imagined however My brother showed him a photo that he saw on the internet so that he could see what the word really means with cruelty in animals and he assumed that I was going to do surgery in the kitten. I definitely do not recommend the place since we entered the place, i could tell how rude the person in charge of adoption procedures was, the other people who work there were kind with me but the guy in front was impatient I understand that they have their policies but he assumed what he imagines as I repeat my intention was never to hurt the kitten he assumed what he saw in the photo for months ago I wanted to adopt one and I had not done it because I didn’t have a place of my own I am very sad and disappointed of the place.

Unfortunately I had to re-home my cat. It wasn’t an emergency and I wanted to make sure he went to a good place. As there websites says, you MUST fill out an application. Thankfully they were able to take Butters. I will say the guy who greets at the door is SLIGHTLY off putting but he works with and for cats, so cool dude in my opinion. Even though I was crying and looked like a mess, the staff were amazing, and didn’t judge me for the financial issues I was having. The place is amazing and the cats even get their own ROOMs. They have vets who volunteer there, and the place feels more like a home than a rescue. I’ve worked in several shelters/rescues in my life and this is by far one of, if not THE best place I’ve ever seen. Thank you, Cat Haven for helping me and Butters.
