What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Any new environment changes for pets is going to have some major challenges, which will require patience and love. If 1% of you has doubts, do what I did and wait a full week before you make any changes. We had an unbelievable experience the 1st 24-48 hrs. However, I’m pleased to share that my rescue pet has had made himself at home and slowly stealing my heart. I was a basket case when I had to leave him alone to go to the doctor yesterday. Seems he was cool because he knew I was coming back. I’ve also picked up a habit of browsing the chewy site. Most importantly learn the breed before you fall for the cuteness. You’ll thank yourself for researching before deciding. I’m excited about the opportunity to take care of him very well; with minimal spoiling.

  2. Being one of the few places for animal services in the area, we gotta be thankful this place exists! I couldn’t go inside, because the hours are very limited, so that’s why I gave it only 4 stars.
Go there and get you a new best friend!

  3. This place has some incredibly rude and passive aggressive people working there as staff. It’s also quite odd that they still are not open to the public and we have to do drop offs and pick ups outside still. Was a first time foster and they did not provide any guidance or training but were short and curt when I tried to follow-up. My foster cat was literally the sweetest but my goodness these people need to learn how to talk to humans. They spend all day interacting with animals so perhaps that’s the issue. If not for the animals, I would say find another shelter to deal with. Whoever runs or funds this place needs to do a serious overhaul of the people working there.

  4. This review is 6 years too late! We adopted our Zsa Zsa ( formerly Mini Maui from the Hawaiian Collection) and she has filled our lives with joy and laughter every day since.
The staff there are warm and caring and I would gladly return to adopt another kitty when the time comes.
Thank you for your wonderful fosters. Our little girl was a runt and now she is a happy and healthy young lady!
Thank you for all you do for the animals.

It’s a great store for all pets with supplies for not just cats and dogs but fish, turtles, reptiles, rabbits and more. The owner also knows his stuff and is very helpful with any problem that pet owners face.

Love this small business! Always friendly and I asked the owner for a specific cat treat and he said he would look into for me. It was on the shelves within two weeks! My go to for accessories and treats etc! Highly recommend supporting them!

Best pet store in downtown JC by far. Huge selection of food, bones, treats, etc. My dog loves going in here and the prices aren’t much more expensive than your average pet store. Owners and store workers are always friendly and helpful.

Always a pleasure doing business here. They always come through in a pinch. Unfortunately it is not cost effective for us to by our food here as we have two 70lb dogs and get better prices online in bulk. Love this store and the owner.

Employee, owner, whoever it was was unfriendly and came off as having racist tenancies. Nice on the phone but unapproachable in person!!!🤨 However, my grandson, my daughter’s FRENCHIE does love 😤 the comparable 2 ingredient real beef dog treats this shop stocks that she gets from Petco, Pet Smart or Whole Foods Paw and hopefully if I EVER have to go back which is probably the wicked idea💡, friendlier workers or nicer approachable owners come along so we can visit pet friendly pet shop in OUR community 🤨!!!

Update: I see that Anthony mentioned me again after having no contact with him for years. Firmly believe that he is using this “cat rescue” as a front to support himself. With my entire being I believe that he is a fraud. No, this review is not out of spite, it’s based on what I have learned. The cease and desist is frivolous and due to receiving a bad review. The owner will threaten people who leave bad reviews with lawsuits, will post about you relentlessly, and seek out employment information. He will delete and block wherever he is able to.

The man running this place is the nicest guy you will ever meet. He’s always extremely grateful when we drop off food, misc items – even newspapers for the cats. Please stop putting this poor guy down, you have no idea how hard he works – meet him and see just how exhausted he is and yet , he keeps going because so many depend on him. He’s an, articulate, aware individual who helps everyone as much as he can with extremely limited resources. He’s also is very honest with his advice and if he can’t help, he’ll at least tell you what he thinks may help based on his long time experience. Instead of bashing him ask how you could help him help the endless amount of cats discarded, abused and neglected in our city. Jeez.

*Update* The business heavily altered our correspondence which they used as evidence (?) in response to this review. This review still stands. Original review: Reached out for advice and insight on how to handle a sick cat in my neighborhood. Was met with a verbal assault. DO NOT CONTACT THIS ORGANIZATION IF YOU NEED HELP, YOU WILL JUST BE BERATED FOR ASKING.

God Bless these people. Every day, all conditions they are out feeding and helping these cats in every way they possibly can. SO much is done by very few people as it is all volunteer. For anyone to take this on is a God’s send and SO much work. It brings some happiness to so many ferals who are all alone in the world. Thank you Anthony and all.

Haven’t been there. I believe I reached out to Metro Rescue a little over a week ago and have yet to hear from them… I assume they’re ok…
