What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. The Peddlers Daughter is a wonderful Irish themed Pub in downtown Nashua right on Main Street alongside the Nashua river. The fair is typical of an Irish Pub. I have been there a number of times and always enjoyed the food. The fish and chips are some of the best I’ve had and the bangers and mash are certainly tasty. My favorite item, which is not directly on the menu, is their homemade ketchup. It’s kind of a cross between ketchup and salsa. Fresh made with huge chunks of tomato and spices. Be sure to try some if you visit.

In addition to the classic Guinness, Smithwick’s, or Harp they have a nice selection of other favorites and a selection of local Brews as well. During seasonable weather, they have outdoor seating adjacent to the Nashua River.

Like every place in downtown Nashua, the one challenge is finding parking. There is some on street parking and some parking on a side street not far away near the public library. There is also a small public lot across the street off of Waterfront street. If you’re unfamiliar with the area it is worth thinking a little bit about what your options will be for parking.

  2. Felt like home. Food was like grandma’s, brought me to tears. I want to work here and do a jig all day. Bought hoodies even. Very impressed, amazingly lucky find.

  3. We had a family event and needed a place for dinner and drinks. None of us live in the Nashua area any more and so we luckily came to the Peddlers Daughter. Fantastic Pub! Food, service, prices, portions were all exactly what you want from a good Pub.

  4. I really like this place. Drinks were fantastic, service was amazing. Food was good. Had the corn flakes chicken tender appetizer, was fantastic. I was a little surprised that cottage pie was a smaller portion than expected and slightly overcooked, but the flavor was on point. Husband had the hangover burger and he loved it, tots were on point. We will come back.

  5. The Peddler’s Daughter is a low-key Irish mainstay in Nashua. It’s the kind of place where if you grew up in a nearby town you’re likely to see a former neighbor or classmate when you visit. The space is large, easy to move around in, and decorated well. Drinks are competent but not a standout, and while the bar has a solid Irish whiskey selection it’s also priced high compared to the few regional peers it has such as The Keep in Lowell. The food is good, heavy, stick-to-your-bones fare, and it won’t cost you a fortune. The live music and trivia nights are also positive, and during warm weather months it can be nice to sit outside along the side of the building. No real drawbacks to speak of, though it would be great to see them diversify the tap list a bit more and have fewer IPAs.

Amazing! Visited on Xmas Eve without a reservation and we were accommodated at the sushi bar. We loved it!!! The sushi chefs were fantastic and kept us entertained. Great service all around. Now let’s talk about that food….where to start?! Star dishes for the night were: Haddock tots, “pastrami-smoked salmon” philly roll, and the oysters were perfect. Candy cane red velvet cake was a wonderful finish to the meal. Two thumbs up and five stars all the way. Stop reading reviews and go there…NOW 🙂

We went back again. Same great experience. The food was phenomenal! This place is a must of you want great seafood. There is no where better in the area. Parking is a bit rough but you can park in the Santander bank lot after hours. When you walk in this place is buzzing with energy. There are no reservations so you have to wait. It’s not unheard of to have to wait an hour for your table but they will serve drinks while you wait! One you are seated the staff never disappoint. The raw bar has amazing oysters and a great twist on sushi. Every dish from the main menu is phenomenal. My favorite is the surf and turf or the Portuguese stew. The drinks are delightful and strong. It is pricey but worth it. You must go hear if you love seafood.

Not sure what the hype is about this place. We thought it was very average and wouldn’t return. Food looked great upon arriving, flavor however missed the mark. Sushi (not pictured) was nothing special and for $18/roll you’d think there’d be a little more to it; didn’t see the difference between this and a roll from say market basket. Clam chowder was good but falls in line with all the other standard ones I’ve had. Calamari was not good. Breading was soggy from the sauce on the bottom. Sad too because the calamari itself was soft and not overcooked. Portuguese seafood stew was very one note. Like bland tomato from a can one note, also sad because the cook on the seafood was done well. Miso Ramen was good but had too much overcrowding the flavor. Had higher expectations and this was super disappointing for the cost.

If you Bostonians ever fancy to come up to Nashua for whatever reason—for us, it was a haunted house on the Halloween weekend—you might enjoy stopping by this restaurant. Cost is $$$—but come on, you already spend the time to get out here—and their pricing is pretty reasonable for a Boston standard. We group of 4 had a full meal, from 4 drinks, 2 appetizers, to 4 entrées and 2 desserts, it was $80 per person inclusive of tax and a 20% tip. The taste is superb, and seafoods are undoubtedly fresh. They have an Asian-fusion inspired menu, so we tried the warm lobster sushi. DELICIOSO! Certainly, their Portuguese Stew is renowned, and you can tell from my picture that 3 out of 4 of us got that. Lobster Kristina (BTW, Kristina is just the owner’s daughter’s name) is creamy and tasty too, but if you’re a big eater, this healthy, balanced meal might not be enough for you. My boyfriend ended up finishing the other half of my Portuguese Stew. In a word, this is a place that I’d return if I’m ever in the area again. They do get bustling busy on peak hours, so either be sure to book ahead or go early. 🙂 And if you’re the owner reading this, our server Jackie is great!

Not sure what the food would be like because it’s really a coffee joint but to my surprise the food was very good. We ordered the Morning Kick with sausage & Chorizo Breakfast Burrito. The Morning Kick was so tall I couldn’t fit in my mouth but each layer was good alone it was good but was better the more I ate. The burrito was good but need a few jalapeños. Cute enough place with different seating areas. I would definitely eat here again. You might wonder why only 4 stars? Not enough baked goods to be a bakery.

This place has amazing ambiance and atmosphere! Great space, with good use of seating, counters, and ordering. Stopped in to grab some coffees to go- an iced coffee, and caramel white chocolate latte, and kind of sad we didn’t have too much time to sit and enjoy the space. If we’re ever back in the area we will need to do just that. The employees were very nice, and the service was really quick. Little to no wait, it seems like that great turnaround time, and they did have outdoor seating. Awesome place!

Recently having come under new ownership, Riverwalk has undergone some changes. They still have the same great coffee and tea, the same accommodating parking lot, and the same sizable seating area for plenty of patrons. Besides some changes to the decor, the most noticeable change is that the new owner is a proficient baker. Gorgeous pastries and treats adorn the glass display cases, and I can assure you they taste as good as they look. The only thing that’s missing is the return of live music to Riverwalk. I hope the owner sees this not only as a great opportunity to generate revenue and new repeat customers, but also as a way to contribute to the culture and vibrancy of the city. For years, Riverwalk had the best open mics and indie artist bookings. I am sure many people would be excited for the return of Riverwalk to the music scene.

I feel terribly sad that I’m writing this review about one of my most favorite coffee shops I have been coming to Riverwalk for so many years now. Everyone here knows my name and of course, I know everyone here, especially the crew that were here with the previous owners I’m usually the first person that arrives to get coffee and breakfast for my son right when they open. At times, I come twice a day. Came in for my afternoon coffee about 45 minutes prior to closing time, coffee was ice cold; I asked if some fresh coffee could be made, as I was told by the young lady that they would be closing in 40 minutes, then after making me feel terrible uncomfortable and showing attitude, I was told okay I’m make you some. Before the coffee was fully brewed, a cup was poured for me & it tasted absolutely horrible I felt so unwelcoming, couldn’t wait to get rid of me 🙁 I so truly appreciate Mike and James, they are always professional and respectful!! Very sad experience today however Wish people could be more like Mike and James when it comes to customer service Thank you

Cute place, good coffee, though pricey! Sadly the place is always dirty. Anytime I come in busy or slow, the furniture, tables, and chairs have food, crumbs, and empty cups. It’s pretty gross.
