What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. This Kroger has everything. It’s absolutely huge. Enormous variety of items, with good prices and many specials. Lots of local options and plenty of dine-in options. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

  2. I’ve lived in Bloomington since 1990. This Kroger store has really gone downhill in the last three or four years. Too many items in every department on every aisle are consistently out of stock, only half of my shopping list can ever be filled there, and they rarely have more than one checkout lane open in the evening. With the super long lines in the checkout and self service lanes also, it’s horrible customer service that keeps getting worse. Dread having to go in there anymore. Not sure what’s wrong but management needs to pay attention.

  3. I love this Kroger, however, at checkout, they constantly forget to put a bag in my cart. When I get home, I see I’m missing a bag of items. Yes, I get reimbursed or get my items, but this is gas spent having to go back, and this is not just one time, this is quite a few times.

  4. I went to the kroger by the mall in Bloomington Indiana I got on one of the scooters it had a 100% on it by a time I got halfway around the large kroger store it started beeping round I turned it on and gave a little bit of power that goes a little farther I go again and again to get around to the front of the front of the front of the store no 1 still didn’t help me they were people employees excuse me everywhere talking chatting to each other they did not pay attention to me and I got all the way to the flower area by tuning it on and off.

  5. Review specifically for Kroger Pickup: the employees here are absolutely wonderful. They are quick, kind, thorough, and a pleasure to work with. We drive from the opposite side of town to use this Kroger every week. Highly reccommend!

When I was walking into Kroger today I could tell a homeless man was watching where I parked and as I was exiting the Kroger he waited in the middle of the parking lot and was following where I was walking back to my car. I walked back into the Kroger and asked an employee if someone could walk me back to my car. The staff was so unbelievably kind and graciously walked me back to my car twice to help me with what I needed. Mark and the staff at Kroger genuinely are some of the kindest people I’ve ever met and I’m so grateful for the kindness they showed me today.

The store itself is well stocked and the staff is pleasant. However, the location leaves a lot to be desired. The parking lot is crawling with homeless and / or impaired individuals who seemingly live at the park across the street. Despite having an unmanned patrol car parked in the parking lot, there is no security. Unless this town fixes this issue, I will not be returning.

I’ve been shopping at Bloomington Kroger stores for over 25 years. Overall, a good place to shop. I was denied from purchasing a bottle of wine due to the fact that I was accompanied by my 17 yr. old son. The store manager’s explanation was that we live in a college town and they have a right to deny alcohol purchase at their discretion. Not only did I get denied but they said I would have to wait 24hrs before I could buy alcohol at this location. 👎

Good variety of products, from produce to kitchen gadgets. Good prices with many rotating specials. Recent updates to the interior make it easier to shop. Staff are usually busy but friendly. The pharmacy is excellent. The neighborhood serves a large variety of social and economic communities, so each visit can vary from affirming to irritating to scary. For example, the men’s room is often trashed.

This place is horrible. Bad staff, disgusting building overall. Doesn’t look like it’s ever cleaned. Staff just stand around and chit-chat. Rarely ever come to help, and the self check out is so wasteful. No matter what they call some employee to help — even if help isn’t needed, then it takes forever to get an employee. Don’t expect much from here. Definitely kroghetto.

Awful, expired products given every single time we have pick up or delivery from this store. Where is the oversight from the store manager & supervisors?? Does anyone take pride in their work anymore? If you’re going to work @ Kroger, OWN IT! Care about what you do & strive to do it well!!

Their sushi is the only thing they have going for them. Maybe after their remodel they’ll be better, but they are frequently out of staple foods. Their shelves are bare. They have slowly reduced their hours and service. The whole place is gone downhill.

No cashiers at night. Only self checkout though plenty of checkout lines. Worst Kroger to shop at to check out. At least they could convert some of the unmanned lanes to self check out. Also, understocked store. At night shop at the College Mall Kroger for better shopping experience.

I dropped a dozen of eggs. I had someone call for a clean-up while I waited. No one ever arrived so I put the egg carton on the floor hoping people would see the spill. I go around the corner and their was a huge spill thar was marked with a cone, yet no one cleaned it up. Other than that they were well stocked for a Sunday.

This one is very clean and shelves are stocked really well. Employees were quite courteous which was surprising. Most stores anymore their employees are rude. Was a pleasant last minute stop.
