What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. I was there at 10pm there was a line in the self check out, there were 50 people in a line stringing down the entire aisle. There was not one checker lane open in the store. There was one employee in front of the entire store and sadly he admitted this happens regularly. This is very poor management that is not concerned about the customer experience. H E B can’t get here soon enough.

  2. Honestly the worst Kroger in the area. If you go at night there’s tons of people gathered up in a line for self checkout and it can take over an hour of waiting. Also last night I went in and they blocked off multiple areas to even get into the store, and one of the employees was really rude using hang gestures and passive aggressive actions when I went a different route which was open. The only person here who is an amazing employee is Stephen as he is really respectful, and makes sure everything can get done in his power. As for everyone else they’re extremely rude and unprofessional.

  3. My mother lives close to this location so I don’t visit that often. It is amazing! More than just groceries. Great selections.

  4. The lines are always long. Only have self checkouts open. Only One person works the pickup. 2 people at the front of the store. 1 bakery person. Online it says they close at 1am but they closed between 8:30pm-9:00pm on most days. The Holidays are going to be awful if they are only going to have 3-6 people working in the store.

  5. I come 3-4 times a week and rarely have an issue. The store is always clean unlike the matlock location. I just wish they would get the straps for the Caroline’s cart so that my 9 year special needs son could use it.

Did a curbside pickup that was scheduled for 2-2:30. Person called an hour before pickup to tell me they were behind and that they would call me whenvit was ready. I Called several times to get an approximate eta. No answer. She calls back at 5 pm to say the 2pm orders were being done now and would be ready at 6. My husband gets there at 6:45 and still had to wait another 20 minutes. All the manager did was give a $5 I’m sorry coupon and said she would have a word with the staff, for a $200 Grocery order! This was my first and last time using the pickup service. What’s going on with Mansfield service?

Customer service desk is not consistent with their hours, at times not open in the evening at all.. I”ve been trying to get a refund of being overcharged for sale meat for 1 month. A self check lady was able to refund other overcharged sale items but not meat department items, was very thankful for that (my ttl bill was $177.48, I didn’t notice overcharges until I got home). Due to my hours I can’t get there before 6 or 7. ALSO the store hours on their website shows store hours until 1 am, they’ve been closing at 12 for a little while now, I always see people going to the door when I’m leaving at that time which is my normal shopping time. I’ve noticed since the big purchase that self check registers don’t always reflect the correct price, so Be Aware.

So here’s the thing, I have been shopping at this Krogers for over 7 years.

Over the past 6 months I have experienced major pricing discrepancies.

I’m going to update every instance.

    For example:

    1. September 3rd I rang up the below laundry detergent that’s listed for $8.99 and found that it rang up for $17.99.

    2. September 8th I rang up potato salad on sale for $9.99 when it was listed on sale at $7.99.

    3. On September 8th I spoke with Scott, a co manager, about the consistency of the pricing discrepancies after holding for 30 minutes.

He interrupted me stating that he believed me and asked how he could help me, almost as if the pricing discrepancies were irrelevant.

I said I would love to finish my conversation if he’d stop interrupting me and he said he didn’t have time and hung up.

    (4) On September 20th, I attempted to buy potatoes salad on sale at $6.99 that rang up at $9.99

(5)Two times I have attempted to purchase the family size if the frosted mini wheats on sale at $3.99 but it rang up at $5.99.

On October 2nd when I attempted to buy the cereal, the lady running the self serve kiosk stated:

    (i) it’s a digital coupon (it’s not). (ii) then she said all you have to do is look up the price on the app (it gives the incorrect price) (iii) I walked to the aisle with her and she said “well you keep coming up here” when I stated this happens every time I come up here. (iv) her attitude changed when she saw the sale price and said inventory needs to do better.

This happens so often that there’s 1 of 2 things going on: (I) this specific store has a highly incompetent management team or (I) Krogers is engaging in an illegal type of bait and switch pricing scheme in an attempt to boost margins.

Either way, consumers are being harmed because if you are buying a cart full of items you simply can’t remember the cost of every single item in your cart.

The price variance between the listed $8.99 and the $17.99 price it rung up at is over a 100% price variance/rip-off.

I’m seriously considering bringing a lawsuit against Krogers to hold them accountable for presumably millions they are taking from unaware customers.

I would strongly recommend you reconsider giving Krogers your business unless you have the time to conduct a pricing review before you pay.

I am disappointed in Kroger staff! I initially attempted to purchase the formula on the Kroger app for pick as it showed in stock available at the store. Someone called me and told me it was unavailable and canceled my order $195.30. A few days later I searched for formula again it was showing still available at Kroger. I decided to drive to Kroger to check because normally if they don’t have the item it will show out of stock. While standing in the baby aisle I called the store and asked if they had the formula I was told no we only have Similac. I was extremely disappointed that the person on the phone didn’t even look. I understand they have some formula stored in the front of the store but there is also some in the baby aisle as well. This meant not only did one person make this mistake but two people. I called to speak with a supervisor the following day whom initially didn’t even introduce herself I explained the situation to her and she explained they should have looked. She didn’t seem interested in hearing my feedback which prompted me to write the review. I hope going forward that instead of just saying they don’t have a product that they know their inventory or truly look at the aisle. I would now like my initial payment to be returned but that’s another battle!

Kroger in Mansfield TX: Do’s and Don’ts Every Shopper Should Know

When shopping at Kroger, it is important to follow certain rules and guidelines to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all customers. These rules help maintain a safe and organized shopping environment. Here are some important do’s and don’ts to keep in mind while shopping at Kroger:

1. Do wear a face mask: It is currently required to wear a face mask while shopping at Kroger to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. This helps protect both yourself and others around you.

2. Do practice social distancing: Maintain a distance of at least six feet from other shoppers and employees while browsing the aisles. Follow any floor markings or signage indicating the appropriate spacing.

3. Do follow directional arrows: Some Kroger stores have implemented one-way aisles to help manage traffic flow and maintain social distancing. Be sure to follow the directional arrows when navigating the store.

4. Do sanitize your hands: Use hand sanitizer provided at the entrance or bring your own to sanitize your hands before and after shopping. This helps reduce the risk of spreading germs.

  • Don’t forget your shopping bags: Bring your own reusable bags when shopping at Kroger. It is a more sustainable option and helps reduce plastic waste. However, note that some stores have temporarily suspended the use of reusable bags due to health and safety precautions. Check with your local Kroger store for their current policy.
  • Don’t hoard items: During uncertain times, it’s important to be considerate of others and avoid stockpiling large quantities of essential items. Purchase what you need and leave some for others.
  • Don’t use cash if possible: To minimize contact, consider using a credit or debit card for payment instead of cash. If you must use cash, try to have the exact amount to avoid unnecessary handling of change.
  • Don’t consume food in the store: To maintain a hygienic environment, avoid eating or drinking while shopping. Save your snacks for later!

Remember, following these rules and guidelines not only helps keep you safe but also ensures a pleasant and efficient shopping experience for everyone at Kroger.
