What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Repair costs are a little bit on the higher side, however the amount was worth the piece of mind that a good job was done. Joe Allen replaced our dripping faucet and some piping, etc. The way the vanity was built made it very difficult to replace anything and the pipes not in code. Honestly, this was a project we could not do ourselves. The old faucet was also an issue in itself trying to remove it.

Joe Allen was just wonderful to deal with. He was not only professional but just a nice person. I felt very comfortable with him in my house. Also, he arrived when expected (even early – dispatch did ask if that was okay), the first time he arrived. When it was recommended a get a new faucet to fix the issue, as well as replace pipes under the sink which where not in code, I was able to choose the faucet of my liking and was given a choice of different costs up front for the entire project. The new faucet needed to be ordered and thought it would take at least a week, however I got a call within 2 days stating it was in. I made a new appointment for it to be installed, and dispatch kept me informed when Joe would arrive.

The entire experience was top notch and I would use Len the Plumber again. If. you do decide to use their service, I would recommend you ask for Joe. I will be using him again for sure.

Lastly, if you decide not to use their service you have to pay the 49.00 gas fee. Honestly, I know some people found this unfair, but honestly I don’t blame them.

  2. Everyone we spoke with while retaining their services was really helpful and responsive. The plumber they sent out, Dylan E., was just terrific! He was knowledgeable, taking the time to explain everything to us clearly, and he had such a positive attitude. It was infectious. His 10+ years of plumbing experience were clear as he worked quickly and neatly. If you need any plumbing done I highly recommend this company, and if Dylan is available you will be lucky and thankful to have him as your plumber!

  3. I had a great experience with Mr. Michael. He removed an old garbage disposal, put in a new drain, then installed a new disposal on the other side of the double sink as i desired. He was professional, courteous, clean, timely, knowledgeable, and just good company. As a 4th generation plumber, he was a wealth of knowledge and offered to save me time and money by doing the pre-work for a new dishwasher I plan to install in a few weeks. Im glad to know my plumbing is now up to code. He plans to retire in a few years and he deserves it but it makes me sad because they just don’t make them like Mr. Michael anymore.

  4. Mr. Houston Frey was simply phenomenal. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable about products and diligent with his problem solving skills. He made me feel safe and comfortable because I was panicking and overwhelmed about the situation. He got the job done (installed a new fixture valve, removed water clogged wood underneath kitchen cabinet) gracefully and I couldn’t be more happy. He definitely went above and beyond and I am so grateful. And he cleaned up his work space which is so fantastic to me. Really, I have to say, because of him and his work ethic, I decided to become a member. I would 100% recommend. He was truly a delight. Thank you, Houston. You are appreciated!

  5. Old water heater was leaking. Damaged the floor and was actually falling through the floor! Victor examined the situation, removed the old tank, and after I had the floor replaced, he installed the new water heater. Victor was courteous and explained everything as he went along. And then he cleaned up afterward. I am extremely satisfied and highly recommend Len The Plumber! Ask for Victor!!

I reached out to them concerning a less then suitable maintenance they performed on a 92 year old widowed woman’s system, after putting me on hold they came back and said they couldn’t not speak to me about it, i asked them to reach out to her and they said she could call in and request an appointment or a reschedule, with that said I advised them if they didn’t make the situation right I would post the photos of the lack luster service, and again I was told they couldn’t speak with me, so as promised here are the photos, i would have much rather put a review stating they are a company that stands behind their work, but they wouldn’t even try to understand their shortcomings UPDATE…. yesterday M&S response to my review as you can see, so I reached out to them and the young lady I spoke with was incredibly friendly and very apologetic and wanted to make the situation correct, via a 3way call she reached out the the 92 yr old lady and scheduled a return visit for next week, I will upload new photos when the visit is complete, in the meantime I am very impressed at how fast they responded to my post and want to make the situation correct,

My Technician Adam was awesome great customer service he was polite and professional . He explained everything to me in detail. He advised what follow up steps I needed to make sure there is no mold after a leak. He contacted the restoration department for me and set up a same day appointment. He was efficient and took little time to make the repairs. He wore booties which is a requirement for me. I really appreciate that Michael and sons sends you a photo of the Technician and a write up that is excellent customer service. I would recommend Michel and Sons and Adam is the best. The arrival was also spot on and he called to say he was on his way.

My water heater broke down. I called couple companies at night and only Michael & Son scheduled appointment for next day. Ted came and replaced my old water heater since 1996 year. Ted is very professional. Work done excellent. He explained me everything and differences between 50 and 80 gallons. The huge plus he has everything in his car and I didn’t need schedule another appointment for setting all up. Another plus I have 1 year guarantee on work and 6 years on tank. If something happened with tank during 6 years Michael & Son will take care and will contacted with manufacturer by themselves. Ted saved my comfort in life and now I can celebrate new year with hot water. Thank you very much for highly professional service!

Wow… Five Stars! What an awesome service visit! Michael provided clear explanations of my plumbing problems. I appreciate how he went above and beyond in his efforts to clarify my questions. He provided tips, educational insights and helpful demonstrations on how to maintain my plumbing. His outstanding customer care, humor and thorough details about his visit reminded me of why Michael and Son earned my business years ago and why I continue to call. Thanks Michael from Michael and Son!

In a time of panic, Franklin arrived within 20 minutes. He identified the issue, helped ensure he kept my place as clean as possible (there was sewage pooled in my shower), and ultimately helped secure a discount. For a Saturday evening, this was the quickest and most responsive service I could find.

We called a plumber to identify the source of a leak happening in the basement. We were given a window of 8am to 12pm for a plumber to arrive at my house, but they did not arrive until about 2:30pm. Upon arrival, the plumber insisted on replacing the O-ring on the toilet where we suspected the leak without looking first. We had just had it replaced and knew it wasn’t the source and told him as such. Despite this, the plumber insisted on replacing the O-ring anyway at a cost of $375 to rule it out. Of course, that didn’t resolve the leak. The plumber then said he’d have to cut into the wall in the first floor powder room to examine the pipe for potential cracks, which is what we expected from the beginning. While cutting our drywall, he cut too deep and actually cut through the wall into our kitchen behind our kitchen cabinets. We knew he did this because 1) he came out and looked at our kitchen in the middle of his work; 2) there was dust all over our counter top; and 3) there was a wire dangling between the cabinets that was not there before. When we confronted him about this, he denied it entirely, saying the cut was already there and it wasn’t his fault. His refusal to accept his mistake was more annoying than the mistake itself. He ultimately did identify a crack in the old iron pipe and replaced the pipe with PVC. We were charged $1,325 for the pipe replacement, which was okay, we just wish we weren’t charged the original $375 on top of that for the O-ring. Total cost was $1,700, which doesn’t include fixing the massive holes in our drywall.

Zach was very friendly and professional. He was up front with the cost and made an honest assessment of our initial issue (a wet spot in front of the bathroom – was not a leak – someone spilled water there – me!) which did not need the attention that we thought. He cleaned out our drains (our other issue) carefully and well, making sure he had a well-working tool. He actually had to buy another snaking machine, came back the next day with it and was done in 15 minutes. I really appreciated his candor. He was a very nice and knowledgeable young man! Thanks Zach!

We had an issue with our water heater. Had one company come out first, and they quoted us and exuberant price so we decided to call Roto Rooter as a second opinion. Not only did they show up less than 2 hrs of the initial call, but they fixed the problem within an hour, and saved us a lot of money. Our tech was Min and he was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. So thankful that we made the call and had such a wonderful experience. We will definitely be using them in the future!

I trust this company. They are expensive, but they get the job done, usually day-of when you call. I have had my water heater replaced by them, and called them to check on sewage backup and they came day-of and gave me an honest review of what is going on. I have home serve for small plumbing issues and I have used a different company for a sewer line replacement, but roto rooter has always been my go-to for all initial checks, even if I use a different company later. And I use them for urgent repairs. Always quality work. worth the money.
