Delicious spot for comfort food! Specially, the calamari was some of the best I’ve ever had! It was fresh, perfectly seasoned and simply perfect. My bf loved the popcorn and our entrees were delicious as well! Service was very friendly and attentive, special shout out to Luke! Drinks were awesome, atmosphere is great, can’t wait to come back!

This isn’t your typical grill. The Moonshine Grill has such a fun menu with items I haven’t seen at many other places. The most unique of which is the fried green tomatoes with smoked shrimp — delicious, tasty, crunchy, smoky, and fresh somehow! So cool.

I also loved my dinner, which was recommended to me by the incredible waitress — I had the Seared Rainbow Trout. The taste of the fish and the buttery grits complemented each other perfectly.

Don’t fill up on the popcorn because the whole dinner is delicious!

First experience at Moonshine Grill and it was lovely. Great staff, not too long of a wait for a Sunday and the environment was very welcoming. Food wasn’t the best – it didn’t have much flavor. I liked the grits the most though. This place gets busy and it’s first-come first-serve!

Big Thank you, Ashley! Great waitress. Very attentive to our table and all of the others. Sweet human.

Came here and it was kinda packed so we left and came back the next day on the early side and was PLEASED they had a Sunday brunch menu!!! I was sad I didn’t get the dinner next time I will though!! But the brunch was nice!!! I started off with a water and lemon… and hell it’s TEXAS so I had to get a few beers as well… so let me ramble off everything I had.. I started off with the popcorn they bring you then ordered some fried green tomatoes and they was DIFFERENT look y’all they had a shrimp salsa type of deal on top of and oh man that shh was GREAT like I ordered more GREAT!! Then and the toasted bread with the smoked garlic cloves and that sauce mixed with the garlic on that bread!!! Super good then I ordered the chicken and waffles ????????‍♂️????????‍♂️???????? why not??!! The waffle was light and airy really good flavor without the syrup and the chicken was fried nice and crispy it was so good and I got some deviled eggs to share with my girlfriend… those?!????????‍♂️????????‍♂️ super trash like nasty don’t know who told them that recipe was good but it was to much tartness and dill could of been better with sweet relish ????????‍♂️But over all this place was good my girlfriend didn’t think so and our server was being mighty rude to her say smart comments and snatching stuff out of her hands because he was frustrated… but the food was amazing I recommend this place if your ever downtown Austin Texas just stay away from that server lol

This was my first visit and it was amazing.

I brought my kids and I was worried it would be a long wait or that they wouldn’t have food that was kid friendly but we were seated sooner than expected and their kid’s menu had all the options we would need.

As a server, Riley, made the whole experience wonderful for our table. He was professional, accommodating, and kind. I wanted give him a shout out.

Everyone was happy with their meal. It was all incredible. There is something for everyone.

We ate outside and I really liked the atmosphere. Thank you all for your hardwork, the food, and service!

You owe it to yourself to visit this place. The food (breakfast) is delicious and flavorful. I had “The Chicken and the Egg” breakfast and the balancing of flavor between the slightly sweetened corn pancake with diced jalapenos was mind blowingly good! The restaurant is a diner, so don’t expect a couture aesthetic; however, it does have a well-seasoned character; which is substantiated by how long the restaurant has been here. Around 43 years. Parking might be a bit difficult, because how crowded the restaurant can’t get. Again, please visit this restaurant at least once in Austin. Everything is delicious!

Wonderful service at this location! Was not a fan of the pancakes (had a sourdough flavor, definitely not buttermilk), which was disappointing since I was so excited to eat them after smelling syrup as I entered the restaurant. I did, however, enjoy the home fries (roasted potatoes), eggs, and bacon. They also had a number of other options. I’d still recommend checking them out!

I’ve been waiting 20 years to come back to Magnolia Cafe—I made a request for a menu item I remembered that isn’t in the menu anymore. Our server, Brian, made it happen, and it was phenomenal. ???????? It was called a Neptunian Landscape. Everything was so delicious, just like I remembered. We had to wait a bit for a table, but our food came out fast! I loved every minute—thank for making my day better and for the nostalgia too. I really appreciate that. Highly recommend!

Magnolia Cafe was awesome! Great atmosphere, delicious food, and good service! The restaurant is located in a unique area where if there is a wait you can walk next door to other interesting Austin-like shops. I would definitely come back if I’m in the area. Fantastic job, y’all! I would recommend this place to my friends and family.

Amazing food with lot of options for vegetarian. They patio seating as well. Different options for food from Mexican, Omelette, Sandwich and more.

This is place is always crowded on weekend during brunch hours so be prepared to wait for 1 hour but the location is good so put your name in queue and go for walk on South Congress

Always delicious! My boyfriend and I have been to this location and a few in SA and it’s always been yummy. Lots of cocktails and breakfast options. Definitely check out the pancake of the week! Dogs allowed on patio and they have water bowls available too.

Breakfast Pot Pie was delicious – the flaky puff pastry is perfect with it and highly recommend! Monte Cristo Brioche Toast was yummy and the homemade raspberry pepper jam was spot on!

    What a great breakfast!

I’m from Denver and used to go to Snooze there. I stopped going because the waits were so long and they were so busy.

I stopped into this location, was seated at the bar right away, and my food came out FAST!

The service was incredibly good and friendly, the restaurant was very clean, and the food was great!

I had a build your own omelette, cold brew, and a side of bacon.

Thank you so much for the friendly service and making me feel welcome!

Loved the sweet potato pancake! Pecans on top and the syrup had a caramel flavor. My partner had the 3 egg classic and it was very good. Bacon cooked to perfection, and he’s picky about his bacon! Fast friendly service.

First time in this place and I definitely will go back. The decoration of the restaurant , the service and the food were AMAZING! Prices are fair , portions are great, food is delicious and outstanding presentation. The Mango juice was so delicious I recommend it! The buttermilk pancake was super good and everything I tried in this place was better than expected. I loved everything from this restaurant, friendly staff , diversity in clients and workers , delicious food, and perfect contemporary style for the restaurant!

Review: If brunch is the question, yes is always the answer. Let’s start with the base, the buttermilk pancakes were average wish they were fluffier but the whipped butter and maple syrup came in with the assist. The Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes however were delicious, the hints of cinnamon with the sweetness and tartness of the pineapple really brought it all together. Now for the highlight of the day the OMG! French Toast, they hit all the right marks from acidity of the strawberries, the nuttiness of the toasted coconut to the sweet creaminess of the mascarpone. I can’t wait to come back to try their savory menu items.

Snooze was a delightful experience, packed with an eccentric pallette of tastes. Every bit of flavor sprang forth from every bite we ate. The bright and beautiful restaurant had a free and happy, open vibe that we enjoyed. The wait staff very attentive and always smiling allowed us to sit back and enjoy our time. Excellent location for a great meal.

This place was extremely packed when we drove by so made a reservation for next day and still had to wait about 45 mins!! Sat outside to cut down on wait time. The heaters were on. Food was super delicious and definitely worth the wait. A decent variety on the menu! My favorite was the French toast and the Snooze Breakfast Burrito with Brisket!

Perfect brunch spot. Went with a friend. Food was great. Got the basic breakfast plate with eggs, bacon and hash browns. Scrambled eggs were beautifully done. Bacon was perfect. We also got the pancake flight with signature flavors which was amazing. Service was great. Definitely recommend.

Quality is phenomenal. The cooking skills are on point. Perfecrly poached eggs. Buttermilk pancakes fluffy and didn’t even need syrup. Bacon was super smokey and added a lot of flavor to every dish. Perfectly poached eggs.

Always a great place to eat and drink. I usually get the Ruby Red Trout Salad every time because it’s awesome! But they had a special this night as a Shrimp Ceviche Tostado entree so I tried it…also awesome! I had the Jack Margarita with it that was spicy but not too much and the German Chocolate Brownie for dessert. It was good but nothing wowing. The strawberry crumble that my husband had was better. Great service!

I’ve always enjoyed Jack Allen’s Kitchen, especially the original one. The one in Westlake was really off last night. Three couples met for dinner. The server was excellent. Drinks were good and came quickly. Luckily we sat in a corner because it is loud in the restaurant when it is full. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food but the kitchen failed to dress the wedge salad and failed to serve the entree to one of our party. By the time it came our food was cold. I ordered a green chili cheeseburger without the bun. It wasn’t cooked as ordered and very mediocre. No sides. We will give it another try because we know everyone is short handed.

Parking can be a little tight if you come during peak hour. Plenty in the back of the building, just need to walk a little.

Friendly staff and pretty fast service. We did enjoy the food. But not sure why, we got super thirsty after. Food didn’t taste that salty all. Will give it another try since it’s near by.

Jack Allen’s is the best place to recommend for your local and out of town friends to try. I’ve always had great service and the best food! They always have seasonal dishes and desserts too. During my most recent visit, I had their salmon cakes- delicious!! Highly recommend!
